Trails a frail pale blue oasis

Here is water, here is air
Do they know what else is there?
Here is lightning, here is thunder
How I wonder how they wonder

Imaging us with precision
Watching us on television
All these living moving beings
Do they know what they are seeing?

Crows and cranes and lions and lizards
Bulls and bears and wolves and wizards
Phoenixes, foxes, and pharaohs
Swans and eagles, harps and arrows

Soaring, singing in the night
Bright blue bird of paradise
Ever under one green star
Do they wonder what we are?

death is a river
that never stops rising
life is a vine
we can never stop climbing
reaching into the sky
twisted and twined
low over the river
that waters the vine

just this once
can I not run
from a safe haven
full of hope
into a den of beasts?

why do I look for that?
am I afraid of peace?

I held my voice down
miming control
I let that silence
wrap up my soul

the face of god
stares through the ruins
souls so dark
the stars shine through them

sparkling
and bringing joy
and light to sugar o'er the void

I am just like you are
Or pretend to be
Do you do this too?
Are you just like me?

Repressing ourselves
To impress one another
A regress of mirrors
Reflecting each other

do I or don't I
yes or no?
maybe it's better not to know
there is freedom in the dark
one look into my soul
could collapse the
waveform

deep in the flower
stationary
in the dark waiting to grow
hidden within the sanctuary
there where only faeries go
seductive as confectionery
sweetest siren silent sings
a message evolutionary
carried far on borrowed
wings

   serpent    
   casts  
 its
    long  
and      
winding      
shadow              
on my          
soul    
          even      
                  now    
                 it comes  
   between
          my dark                         
          ness

         the                    
light

I found a monster in the dark
Deep in my mind, my strangest part
I banished it, it would not go
It sank its teeth into my soul

And then we fought night after night
Until I had no strength to fight
Then for a while it took the reins
All I knew was pleasure and pain

But one bright day we saw the light
Through our two eyes, monster and I
We joined together, strong, allied
No more battles, we both decide

To this day we remain entwined
And now the monster's wings are mine
Now we are one, monster and me
Now I am whole
Now I am free

that's more than I can ask of you

I want you to care about me
and make me your priority

maybe I can't find the words
maybe it's more than I deserve

but all the silence in the world
won't hide my eyes
that tell the truth

Compared to other animals
I think that humans are quite strange
Whenever we look at the world
We think about what we can change

We live in snow and build houses
We shave our fur and wear fur coats
We feed our babies formula
And drink the milk of cows and goats

I wonder how our life would be
If there were someone else like us
Who could not live in harmony
And used their tools to alter us

I wonder what we would become
In the hands of the powerful
We who have turned to dogs and cats
The children of lions and wolves

take a chance
take a guess
take over the world
take away people's money
so they can't survive

sometimes you have fire
machetes and knives
sometimes tell the truth
and sometimes you can lie

solve a maze
solve a riddle
remember the code

stay in the middle
stay on the road

sometimes you defend
sometimes you attack
sometimes you live once
and sometimes you come back

go alone
or with friends

make a move
make a plan

make a knight
or a queen
when you get to the end

save the ship
save the girl
save the score
save the world

all the same game
but there's more than one way to win

If you follow your heart
Wherever it leads you
One day
Along the way
You will meet the other people
Who followed their hearts
To the same place

I look up
To a soft and smoky sky
Single shining star

What if you could see the good
in yourself
like a friend would?

I read a poem called God Apparition

and it made me think of this question

Have you ever encountered God?

And what can you tell me about that experience?

all this joy
and all this pain
all the things we think and see
all this hope and
all this love

vibrations and energy

all this madness and confusion
written by some inner hand
we have woven this illusion
all that we can understand

what if we could see beyond
what our perception is concealing?

Earth is moving
time is a dimension
color is a feeling

what if we could move beyond
all the things we think and see?
what would happen to our souls
if we could know
reality?

I have come untethered
like a feather
in the sky

I cannot stay forever
but wherever
will I fly?

the rivers
come together

where the heavens
meet the sea

at the mercy of the weather
for one moment
I am free

I don't know why
till I look at the sky
I cry and I cry and I cry
only the Moon
only the Moon
drawing my pain like a tide

only the time
only the time
and in time I will forget
until I see
the same Moon again
shining one sign to the left

if you listen closely
we all sing the same song
the Nameless weaves the melody
and we all sing along

of onyx trees
the sky is like
a silver sea

light fills the clouds
and overflows
like angels' wings

We dream symmetry
But we are animals
We build castles out of chemicals
We write meaning on our field of vision

in the shadow to remain

I am connected to

energy

the more the fact
of this interconnectedness

reflects on me

We are waves in the mind

And fractals

And spheres are the shape of our God


Leading infinitely to an ultimate God

To an infinite regress of infinite God


We are God

We are all

We are all that we are

All in all


We are All

And we are only

God

Is this freedom?
