Run
This world is full of distance.
It puts cracks in skulls,
hearts
and plans.
Puts cold numbers on the pavement.
I could run the miles as my heart beats faster.
Skipping through the bad parts to get to the new.
Guess I had to leave you a few miles back…
The world is full of distance.
And now you’re far behind.

And you parachuted your way into my life
Bringing uncertainty and sensation.
Made me feel emotions people start wars in their hearts over.
Then teleported away.

I sit on this sensation

And it dwells
And it burns
And it bulges

Inside-wanting- needing
To be ripped open

Pushed against
Quaking with sensation

What’s wrong? Whats right?
We do it all

Because behind closed eyelids I'm not her anymore.

I bite I claw I bleed for you

You are my addiction
Slow and fast
Caught up with denial for too long

Wanting to be defiled and unmasked not unsure

Wanting your scars
Your body

Moving, mounting

Bony, bumpy

Imperfect and perfection in my hips

Now sold, spent, rising

Up.

Up.

Until you and I are more than human

We are Gods reaching together from the dregs of our carcasses

Dying and dusty
Skipping beats
Screaming for the moment

Of Euphoria

Coming into your arms

Drifting away and down to Earth

Finally done with this monster
The blood curling screech of pain
And angst
Wanted
Needed

Take me and I will take all you have to give

You are the perfect drug.

My soul ascends, as the moon, it lifts
Above the clouds in the dark abyss;
The light descends upon my frame
And dances with my mind untamed.
My life becomes a granted wish;
This night is one I'll not forget.
post-sunrise meditative poetry
There was a time of peace
Now a distant memory
These battles have left me wounded
Alone and scarred
Here lying on this ground
In the end, I realize
I was not against any other
I was only at war with myself
after a little over a year, i wrote a follow up poem entitled 'Peace'

She was every captain's secret,
Five hundred fathoms deep.
She haunted and charmed the waters so,
And chased the dreams from your sleep.
Her ghost was known to plague our nets,
To dance across the ocean waves.
The bloodied corpses of her children fled
To the beaches where they would be safe.

That night her body, titanium clad,
Punctured the wall between our worlds.
Her arms, a strange bewildered dance
As startled, she uncurled.
The gaul of those men who found her!
Breaking into her home!
She had run from every advance they sent
But legends never die alone.

So few of our men indulge in mystery.
So few embrace the unknown.
Most seek to banish the fear and wonder
And so legends never die alone.
They are prisoners chained to mortal bodies
And drawn from the depths of the sea.
Her eyes, I swear, had pearls of tears
As I watched the Giant Squid flee.

Flutter.
Your eyes flutter,
And you're almost asleep
My beautiful baby.
Some day soon,
Your heart will flutter
Like your innocent,
Sleepy eyes.
A sudden spring
a rush
between slender stems
long dormant
awakened one morning
by droplets
of subtle fertile heat
A sudden spring
a glow
in late summer

She's your reason
To write poetic words.

I'm just there
To be supportive.

She's your reason
To wake up.

I'm just there
To watch you love her.

Do you think it's easy for me? To be around you? To be in your midst?
Your heartbeat drives me crazy, your laugh makes me wild.
You make me so happy, yet you don't even care.

It's alright though.
No really, im fine.
No, I'm over you.
But am I?
