Can you feel my heart?
Do you see my pain?
Do you notice the scars
That line my arms again?
When you look into my eyes,
What is it that you see?
Is it the masquerade
or is it truly me?
I don't want something perfect;
I adore the imperfection.
I hope you know I'll need you,
But it'll never reach confession.
I don't expect you to know when,
You won't even understand why,
But I promise to continue fighting
To keep my head held high.
I'll do my very best
To be the best for you,
And in order to make you happy
There's nothing that I wouldn't do.
Take me to the land I've seen in dreams,
Where airy thoughts condense in ashen streams,
Where the empty skeletons of trees
Crack and rattle in unfelt breeze,
Where long-lost lovers unite and reminisce
Amidst the fog and quietness,
Where love escapes from lips like vapid mists
And the night is alive with eternal bliss.
Take me to that place, so far from home,
Far from all I've ever known
Where no one is ever truly alone
And no one is ever truly alone.
I write most of my poetry in the twilight of sleep. This poem (no exception) makes an attempt to describe a landscape I saw in a half-dream: dark, secluded, foggy, but somehow beautiful.

*Update*: I found this place while traveling through Virginia. I can't begin to describe how crazy that experience was. Deja vu on some insane level. I think I'd like to live there someday.
If you live your life to follow the sunset
You'll surely end up where you started,
For beauty is fleeting like the day
And charm is deceptive; it passes away.
But when evening is nigh
As the sun elapses sky,
When the age of winter approaches
And pursuit of youth is all but hopeless,
I'll hold you and look love in the eyes
Clutching close my everlasting sunrise.
A trivial thought like stabbing daggers
Sets the path to our devastation
A maze of chaos from simple matters
Failing paths of imagination

Not every quote you read is a masterpiece of wisdom
Not every act that’s weird is an evil conspiracy
Demons inside her head, their kingdom
Celebrate every victorious fallacy

Persuading herself by hollow theories
Fooling herself by un-ignored “if”s
Recollecting only the worst memories
Deciding the truth, deadly and stiff

Stop creating this useless drama!
Can’t you see it’s tearing us apart?
‘Cause every self-destructive trauma
Crushes again my exhausted heart

Fire is put out by heavy pouring rain
Arms protect from thoughts too scary
Why can’t I relieve your pain?
Why can’t I be your sanctuary?

My shoulder offers affection
To be gained
And has no intention
To feint
Come rest your eyes
And faint
You will find paradise
Unstained

Come near my dear
Let me lift your worries for you
Stay with me here
Let all anxiety leave you
You will see clear
No demons to haunt you
Dissolve your fear
In my arms around you

May 2013
My favorite poem of mine
So keep your distance from denial
We’ll bury it in sand

Keep your face in all its grace
Not buried in your hands

Do not linger on regret
You’re blacking out the truth

Do so love me with forget
To keep you in your youth

Forgive me; forgive yourself
You’ll feel it’s good to choose

Forgive it just a little
It helps distinguish you

Yesterday I saw you smile
I keep it with me now

So let me know when you’re not well
I’ll bring it back somehow
From my book "The Reception: Black, White, and Grey"
Amaze me
Free me from my own reason
My complication
Mesmerize me
Ban me to your mystical prison
Your temptation

Amaze me
If you think I’m a keeper
Mesmerize me
I’m a high sensation seeker

Amaze me
When waves are too high to ignore
Mesmerize me
When they crash at the shore

Amaze me
Turn my life into a fairy tale
Mesmerize me
With every innocent detail

Amaze me
Through joyful moments that forever stay
Mesmerize me
Through the disabling boredom of everyday

Amaze me
As long as I worship you today
One day, another might block your way
So mesmerize me
To a point you abuse my head
Be the med, and drug me instead

We are poetry and symphony
Creating the ultimate synergy
Take the challenge
Keep the balance
And vacuum tears of joy out of me

Forever amaze me
Until I feel nothing but you
Forever mesmerize me
And I shall mesmerize you too

Your opinion is highly appreciated :)
Can the reader tell the difference
Between a poem that is
Forced, or
One that naturally flows
From mind, to pen, to paper.
A challenge to the reader,
Which is this?
A well constructed masterpiece,
Or a ****** attempt to get back
Into my lost craft?
For all you know
This is my third draft.
Writers are the clowns of the written word.
Can you assume everything that's written is true,
Or do you, the reader, need to be skeptical?
Where did all the trust go?
Was there any trust to begin with?
So reader,
Do you trust me?
Dreaming has never felt like such a horror.
I wake up in the morning,
kiss my lonely cigarette.
peach fuzz is desperation for such ripe fruit
it is only sin that will lead into temptation
holding back my grudges
puffing on the words that seem to escape
as though i cannot be free of a feeling
non-exsitent
the tones, the strings
pitiful my voice
careless her actions
is there no thought to my grievances?
my well-being cursed, relinquished sanity
nothing feels real
as the breath of a soul.
The text of my life
It is oft in* italics
And Roman comma Times New.
It's important you know
That I live in
italics
*For standing up straight
I find hardest to do.
