Do you believe in Love
Can you endure the pain
Can you take a hold of what is given
And give it back again

For what is the greatest Love
That one would give their life
A substitute for the multitude
A Godly sacrifice
All praise to Jesus Christ
I'm on my phone more often than not
Checking my status and all the updates I've got
There's always something there interesting to see
When I finally look up, my family's staring at me

My youngest says Dad, let's play a game
If you could decide, what would be your phones name
I have no clue, do you...she said of course
I've got the perfect name, let's call it divorce...
Thanks to my lovely daughter Sarah for this gem
You sit down to write the perfect song
To the tune that's stuck in your head
You just need the right words to go along
But most everything has already been said

You could write about unrelenting love
Or the love that is no longer there
To tell the truth hasn't there been more than enough
And does true love really care

The lyrics have to be more than can be seen
Words that envelop all space and time
So your search dives deeper into the abyss
Trying to capture the perfect rhyme

I't doesn't have to be a song you can dance to in the streets
But one that still moves the heart
The rhythm of language will replace the hearts beat
That is at this moment where you find that you are

You decide to walk the road of life a little ways more
Hoping inspirational words fill your head soon
Knowing full well this song will explain what all life is for
Until then you'll continue whistling the tune...
children smiling in the sun celebrating easter fun
rolling eggs down the hill giving easter such a thrill
easter bunnies start to play such a lovely easter day
yellow chicks so very bright bringing children such delight

playing games with lots to do.  picnics and a barbecue.
lots of food there to eat everything for a  easter treat
celebrating in the sun  making easter so much fun.
when the sun comes out and brightens up the day
it brings a happy feeling and takes the blues away
gifts your heart a lift fills you with delight
making life feel happy very gay and bright

makes you want to smile brings you happiness
helps you to relax and takes away the stress
makes you want sing makes you want shout
makes your life worth living when the sun is out
there was a hero mouse a hero mouse was he
and a super hero he just long to be
he made himself a cape very bright and red
and a mask of blue for his little head

he would chase the villians and uphold the law
ending all the crime bringing peace once more
when ever there was trouble his radar let him know
then off to the crime scene the little mouse would go

flying through the air with his cape so bright
ready for some action ready for the fight
swooping from the sky take them by surprise
with his little hat covering his eyes

bringing law and order he just long to do
a proper caped crusader a hero through and through.
score on score of them are laid
score on score of them have killed and maimed
score on score of them in jungles and in fields
score on score of them dot the Afghan lands
score on score of them have been detonated

the touching of a mechanism
with an unsuspecting foot
the tearing of flesh
the splintering of bone
the rivers of red blood

prosthesis fitted
to permit walking again
without an artificial foot
no steps
can be gained

score on score
the damage everlasting
injurious landmines
blasting

score on score
the toll of dead rises
landmine activity brings
many demises

somewhere on our planet
a man, woman of child
has had a limb
thoughtlessly torn away
NB: Last Friday, was International Landmine Awareness Day.
on the ripples our shadows
the river flows on
this moment they are here
next tide they're gone!
aren't we passing shadows?
