Have you ever read someones poetry
That where you stand your brought to tears
You can feel the heart of suffering
They've endured throughout the years

Where they view themselves in writings
As a soul that's lost and weak
Not knowing to write the way they do
Is a sign of inner strength

Or how many of us they have helped
Seeing our own weakness through their eyes
And the struggles that we all go through
That fill these poets lives

I'm here in rhyme to let them know
Just what their writings do
And how many in our troubled times
They have helped us through
love is there for everyone no matter who you are
love is all around love is everywhere
its all around the universe for all the world to see
something we can share something that is free.

it is in your heart it is in your soul
makes life so complete makes you feel so whole
it is there for everyone for everyone to share
no matter where you go love is always there.

What if the stars in the heavens above
all blinked out at the same time
Would I lose all the wishes I've wished
of having your heart close to mine

Each and every twinkling light
represents a memory from our lives
If they completely disappeared right now
Who's to say we'd even realise!

Was our love nothing but a satellite
circling distant galaxies
going from one dying star to another
out of a desperate need

It's like we're light years away
becoming scattered in cosmic dust
We're clinging in the hopes of becoming a cluster
but was there ever really, an 'us'

With outer space being the space between us
in our now lost universe
Who will show us pity
as our love blinks out, like the stars

Mike had an 'out of this world' idea with this one!
:)
It's not that men are totally blind
It's just that we can't see most of the time
Focusing mainly on I, me and don't forget mine
In our mess of a head it's so hard to find

What it is that women really do want
With all of the does along with all of the dont's
Maybe what we really need is a special font
To help us clueless men move right along

In the right direction so we don't have to guess
Then life wouldn't be such a crazy mess
You'd get much more out of us than much more of less
Avoiding much of the misery of your P.M.S.

Now that I being a real man have brought it up
Spilling the wine out of the loving cup
Haven't you heard that idea raised way to much
From most of us men that don't know enough

Well I want you to know that your not alone
P.M.S. once inside tends to grow and grow
Just try your best to let it go
Because...
P.M.S. for those not in the know
Is short for Pre ****** Syndrome
I would never lie to you
Was the last thing that he said
Before he left out all the truth

You will always have my heart
Was the last word that you heard
Before he tore yours all apart

I will always be by your side
Was the last thing that he said
Before he walked out of your life

I will always be right here
Was the last word that you heard
Before he disappeared

I will always love you
*Was the last thing that he said
Would you find God if I told you
He lives in non-believers too
Would you believe me if I said
You are already half way there

When you said it would take a miracle, and it did
Why turn your back
Put it down to good luck
Than accept it for what it is

You were almost there
When you said Dear God
Unconsciously you accepted it
And so it uttered past your lips

Going to Mass
Listening to Biblical stories
You were almost there
Until you said it was all a myth

Maybe the obvious places are not the best ways to start
If you're searching for God
Look at the art
And search within your heart

The mechanics of wings
The two seas that won't meet
A little more simple
The functions of a tree

There's something unnaturally magical
Spiritually mystical
Delightfully wonderful
In an enlightened world with the words of God

So which of your Lord's favours do you deny
Remove the veil from your heart and refuse to hide
He is the All Powerful the All Knowing
I only wish for you to receive this blessing
There is no compulsion in religion. Some people believe without even realising it.
Sitting here hoping you miss me
Cause things ain't been the same
Since that good for nothing city slicker
Keeps trying to give you his last name

Rolling into town
Like a brand new Cadillac
Well I'm here to tell you mister
I want my baby back

He may take you to far off places
Places we could never go
Like over there in Georgia
Where you could visit the streets of Rome

Or take you to a romantic dinner
With candle light just you and he
Toasting you by the riverside
In Paris, Tennessee

You can drive a world away from here
In his fancy sports car like it weren't nothing
Clinking your bottles of Lone Star beer
High stepping it out in Dublin

I even here tell he's taken you
To the sunny shores of Naples
Way down South in Florida
Something I was never able

But can he take you out frog gigging
Or catch fireflies in a jar
In all your worldly gallivanting
Don't you miss the way we were

Has anything he done for you
Been as sweet as chewing on a piece of Bahia grass
While standing in an open field
Watching the clouds blow past

Or listening to a Whippoorwill
Sing out it's nightly song
On the front porch you and me swinging
To it's rhythm all night long

Don't give a hoot about places he takes ya
That's about all I gotta say about that
After all this highfalutin society traveling
All I want is my baby back
