Invisible Love
Candy Glidden Aug 2022
Invisible love,
Blind to affection.
A single touch burning thy skin,
Unnoticed, I crumble apart.
Hating daylight,
Feeling lost and alone.
The world my enemy,
Nightfall is my throne.
The sun vanishes,
Stars begin to shine,
Out from the heart arises,
A love I call mine.
Tender and sweet,
Burning desires from within,
Neverending love, tho it seems
Until now asleep we fall.
Nestled within each other,
Only to wake once again
To an invisible love.

All The Reasons Why
Candy Glidden Aug 2022
I love you because,
You fit into my world perfectly, like a hand in a glove,
My cup runneth over with undying love.
Your eyes take my soul to places unknown,
Your touch leaves me mesmerized completely to the bone.
Your kiss is infectious and it courses through my veins,
Your voice when it speaks to me and how it says my name.
Your arms how they hold me tight making me feel safe,
The way our "five minute" rule never stays in place.
How you open up the truck door to let me step inside,
The way you hold my hand and kiss it while we take a ride.
I love when you kiss me and stare deep into my eyes,
How my hands upon your body can make you get a rise.
You always touch me softly with gentle, loving care,
You text me throughout the day for our thoughts we like to share.
I love when you look at me for your face I can read,
It tells me everything you want, or everything you need.
Every second we're together I feel safe and so secure,
Our love radiates around us so tremendous and so pure.
Everytime you leave me, my heart breaks a little more,
Waiting on your return is what I'm dying for.
When you say you love me or that I'm beautiful,
It reminds me why I love you deep within my soul.
I want to start a life with you and give to you the world,
To make it known to everyone that I'm your special girl.
To go to bed at night after our day is through,
Feeling like the luckiest girl because I am loved by you.
Maybe live together in a way that lovers do,
To wake up every morning being loved by only you.
I love you now and forever until my last breath I shall take,
And I promise to love you still when my soul no more shall wake.

"YOU"
Candy Glidden Aug 2022
Awakened with thoughts of you,
Drowning by your presence in my mind,
Dying to feel your touch,
To smell the essence of your skin.
You're intoxicating.
As I look beside me, no one is there,
Only your light radiates around me.
I close my eyes to feel your touch on my skin.
Shivering from the excitement that you bring.
If into my thoughts only I have fallen,
Let me never be awakened,
For you are the sweet sounds of the night,
Calming as the deep blue sea, that of which I wish to be.
Our love carries me through each day,
Memories of us fill my nights,
Your love, my darling, takes my heart to heavens heights.
Be with me always and stay in this place of pure bliss forever.

Our Completion
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Today will be the beginning of forever
Where we shall find truth in all we do
Nothing will stand in our way
We will be complete....

Today will be the beginning of a new life
A door will open that leads to love
Nothing will stand in our way
We will be complete....

Today will be the beginning of US
To abide in each other in all we do
Nothing will stand in our way
We will be complete....

Today will be the beginning of tomorrow
Each day that shall follow there after
Nothing will stand in our way
We will be complete....

More Than Just A Dream...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
For every time the wind blows
A thought of you awakens
With each draft there after
My heart is but forsaken.

With every single rain drop
In my thoughts you tend to linger
With every rose that opens
A thorn but ****** my finger.

With every thought of you
It's true, I must confess
A dream you come to be
Although I seem to love you best.

Our hands have never touched
Our eyes have yet to meet
But with every waken moment
It is YOU, I feel I need.

With these thoughts, I follow
Where ever they shall lead
In hopes that maybe someday
They'll be more than just a dream.

Image Of Perfection...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
An image painted on a canvas
For the whole world to see
Is the image what they notice
Or is it what truly lies beneath
On the outside there's beauty
Radiating a hint of happiness
Filled with life and enthusiasm
Enjoyed by all who see, or notice
The hands that created this masterpiece
Must have been solid, and stern
For the wall that holds this canvas
Has a black lining the eyes can't see
Bitterness, shallow, and heartless
Covered with a coating of gold
To the human eye to seem like perfection
For there is no happiness within
An abundance of repentance
that grows under this image,
stretching high up along the walls
The image of everlasting beauty
Trees swaying in the background
Beautiful flowers blooming abundantly
The sun shining as though just ripened
Birds soaring through the air,
chirping this magical, mystical morning
Dew lying upon the image
leaving a sparkle to catch the eye
The image seen as it is wanted to be seen
Painted from the mind of someone
needing perfection taking nothing less
Knowing you can't cut a stone with scissors
Or fly like a bird without wings
You can't even create perfection
When there is no such a thing.
Minus all the beauty that this image holds
Would your attention be captured the same
If by fascination you could see with it
Without it what would you see
A canvas hanging on a wall alone
No beauty within or without
Black walls that line the canvas, no image
Empty, rebellious, alone
Fascination is taken away by reality
Once the image becomes clear it is no longer
an image, nor perfection you see
Though now noticeable the canvas
rests on the wall that is lined in black
Plain as the sky on a glorious day
The canvas holds no image of beauty
No image of any kind
It was merely what someone wanted you to see
Hoping that in reality the image
would always be there, stay the same
Beautiful, happy, loving
Speaking a thousand words just
from what your mind captured
It is now faint to the eyes, clear
That this canvas is nothing more
than a dishonest piece of work.

With a hint of love to fill the air
Sweet caresses to know you are there.
Kisses of ecstasy that entice my soul
Passions surround me as I lose control.
Familiar dwellings of a beautiful face
Miles of torture override this place.
Tho never to part nor be stolen away
Those miles we shall separate someday.
Closeness will fill our lives with a hue
Colors of love for just me and you.
If I could just hold you near to me
There is no other place I would rather be.
Kissing your lips, as I touch your skin
Bringing me into you deeply within.
Whispers so softly that we shall share
To each others hearts of how much we care.
If I could right now, flow into your heart
Forever I'd stay never wanting to part.
My love would be tender, honest and true
Until death do we part I will love only you.

Your Touch
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
You brush against me gently
A hint of what you need,
Our bodies feel inspired
By the passions that we heed.

Your eyes, they cross me softly
Bringing chills upon my spine
For just to feel you touch me
Is a feeling one of a  kind.

So, sweep your hands across me
Your finger tips on my skin,
Plant your hands within my soul
Bury your love deep within.

Make love to me all through the night
And when the night shall end
Hold me in your arms so tight
Never letting go again.

Your Pleasure My Pain
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Was it just your pleasure
To cause me such pain
What did you strive for
Was it pride you had to gain?

Could you not just be honest
Instead of filling me with lies
Now I sit here feeling cheap
In a blinded disguise.

To open up no more
For my trust was truly shattered
I never thought my life would be
This strung out, or battered.

You made me feel important
Like you really wanted me
Now silence is your game
Through you, I can see!

If I had the chance to do it all again
I would remove that night
You never would have existed
and I would still be alright

I wouldn't have confused my relationship
for something I thought would be good
So, I choose to make you disappear
just like I really should.

Your Love For Her...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Although your mind says you love me
Where does you heart reside
Is it somewhere many miles away
While here, it's trying to hide.

You say you've gotten over her
Your love for her is gone
But deep inside this heart of mine
I have to say you're wrong.

It's just you cannot see it, yet
Though soon you'll find the way
The love you hold dear for her
Will take my love away.

Little things you say and do
Are reminders everyday
Of the love you shared with someone else
No matter what you say.

Just to have you talk about me
The way you talk about her
I would have given anything
Anything in this world.

My love for you will never die
Nor will it fade away
But as for now, until she's gone
My love can no longer stay.

You Can Count On Love
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Petal by petal and stem by stem,
Where my love shall I begin?

One is for who you are
Giving me love near or far.

Two is for the way you smile
How you go that extra mile.

Three is for your kisses sweet
The feeling of love each time our lips meet.

Four is because of your gentle touch
The one I long to feel so much.

Five is for the happiness you bring
The joy that makes my heart sing.

Six is for the way you say my name
From any other mouth it could never be the same.

Seven is for the times we are together
Knowing someday that they will last forever.

Eight is for my dreams that came true
Straight from the heart of only YOU.

Nine is because you allowed my heart to see
All of the love that you had just for me.

Ten is for everything that you do
But most of ALL ten is because I LOVE YOU!

Wretched And Withered Soul
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Wretched and withered soul
Why has thou been created?
God must have had a blank moment
As your life he contemplated.

While in the midst of his discretion
Or the blanks that he once drew
There was no better soul to forget
Than the wretched and withered you.

There were lives given for reasons
Each and everyone included a heart
As you fell astray, and withered away
God must have forgotten that part.

They say, "Evil is as evil does,"
It wears a face of black
It shall ponder in Hell forever
Without ever looking back.

Wasted time, and pointless creation
God's  work here is all done
When the book of life is opened up
For you, there will be none.

You'll stand before him shaky
Scared and so alone
When he calls out the names of Good
You're name shall never be shown.

As Evil comes to take you away
You'll ask, "Evil, must I go with you?"
God will stare you in the face
And answer, "Yes, I'm afraid you do!"

Though you'll question his decision
Your head, you'll hang in shame
But in your wretched, withered soul
You'll have no one else to blame.

God loves all, who love themselves
Gives good to those who believe
For those who lose there way somehow
The pits of hell they receive.

As I'm led away from the pearly gates
Where many people will be waiting for me
They shall see the hand of Evil in mine
Leading me where I deserve to be.

You could take this life and end it now
You know, the one that you created
The wretched and withered soul
That you so strongly contemplated.

The one that while in creation
You must have drawn a blank
Because someone like me, is not God's work
I only have Evil to thank.

Someday when I'm old and frail
When wrinkles are all that you see
My hair is silky, long and grey
Will you still be in love with me?

If my hands become shaky and shriveled
Or I often seem weak in the knees
If my feet are always cold at night
Will you still be in love with me?

When my eye sight starts to diminish
Or my minds no longer young and free
If my clothes don't match from time to time
Will you still be in love with me?

Maybe I'll become a sour old soul
Or often wet the sheets as we sleep
But I need to know that no matter what
You will always be in love with me.

Unknown
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Look around you...
What is it that you see?
You think it's all of nature
About the birds and bees...
I see a beauty to most unknown
One inhibited from life
A peaceful reassurance
Seen only through my eyes.
None other can captivate
What before your eyes is shone
For deep inside the heart of life...
Lives a love to most unknown.
You cannot call it as you see it
For you see not what it is
My heart has the sight to see...
What before my eyes shall give.

Torture
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
My sadness has become torture
Over ruled by my thoughts
My blank stare into the world
Feeling empty, lonely, scared
To see the face of a thousand smiles
Could only draw me from sorrow
The voice of eternal strength
Eyes that are destined to blind
Only from weakness..
Where if all my sadness arises
Hast thou happiness disappeared
Doth my heart seek darkness
Or is it darkness that found me
Blood fills the eyes that cry
Death awaits the heart that loves
Seek me, from this dying torture
Grant me, away from weakness
Bring me, my true love.

Together Again
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Tomorrow is a dawning
Of a new and beautiful day
Excitement fills me inside and out
In ways I cannot say
It's almost like I'm whole again
Things are nearly as they should be
Right now it's all still incomplete
Until tomorrow your face I see.
When our lips greet each other
Our arms reach out with love
The sounds of our hearts beating
And the sun shines down from above.
The laughter and excitement
We shall see within each other
Nothing in this whole wide world
Beats the two of us together.

To Dream Of Ones Self
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
What beneath my feet doth hold
Thy body strong, and steady
When all the while I feel weak
Thy palms are warm and sweaty.
Feverish feeling all over my body
Clammy skin, to touch so cool
Skin as pale as the fairest of them all
Faint, and falling like a fool.
No more strong and steadiness
Lanky with eyes that droop
A body so frail and fragile now
Above thy life does beauty group.
Taking my hand, lifting me to my feet
Strength now rushes over me
Whence all the while it was dream
Allowing my heart and soul to see.
Hidden behind a closed door
My life seems as described above
Once the dream took over my mind
There was nothing more than love.
Waiting to capture my heart and soul
To refrain me from seeing anything less
Now I understand the meaning of ones self
Open your heart, for your life shall be blessed.

Timeless Hours
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
You say I cannot love you,
Lest your heart judge thine own,
For love is more than just a word,
From the heart and soul be shown.

I stand before my Prince today
Arms open like the wings of a dove,
Praying that in my arms you'll fall
Giving me timeless hours of love.

If but just a dream I seek
Tomorrow shall be tears of pain,
Thy heart will shrivel of death
Thy love will die in vain.

Join me my love, this day
Except the love that I hold dear,
For naught in timeless hours
Shall place your heart so near.

I bid thee a love that shall be eternal
A love full of lastingness and power,
Our souls shall rule for eternity
While our hearts dance in timeless hours.

Thoughts Of You
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
As darkness falls upon my heart
There is hope for something new
And in the evenings sweet embrace
I'll think of just we two.

When the night has gained control
I'll kneel to say a prayer
And as I pray like nights before
Your presence will be there.

Midnight strikes and all is silent
But thoughts of you still remain
So much love I had for you
And you broke my heart in vain.

Now as I dream, your presence fades
In hopes to wake to a brand new start
Forget the way you betrayed my trust
leaving me with the broken heart.

At early dawn my dreams shall end
I'll wake without thoughts of you
No more tears, or saddened eyes
from the hell you put me through.

The morning sun shines on my face
And my feet slowly touch the floor
I look towards the sunlight and smile
Realizing, I now love you no more.

Sweetest dreams I have of you
To see your smile, and feel your touch
If any dream could ever come true
I'd wish for this one so much.

The sparkle you carry in your eyes
Defies any that I have ever known
The way you make me feel inside
Is more than I've ever shown.

I long to feel your body near mine
To taste your lips of sweet desire
Feel the passion as it arises before us
Setting our bodies on fire.

Underneath the moonlights bliss
We will dance until the night fades
When the light takes us in for tomorrow
I will wish for my dream to stay.

The dream that rocked my world tonight
Shall we meet someday, and forever
The thought of loving only you
Could be my biggest dream I endeavor.

The Wishing Well
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Your beauty invites me
Beckoning me into your surroundings...
Anxious to make a wish upon this beautiful well
Taken by its wondrous reflections
I cease everything that I am....
The well, that of which, is you.

Savoring the peacefulness
Absorbing every drop of you...
For into the wishing well I wish to drown
A single coin tossed in your presence
Tarnished by your beauty...
The desired coin, that of which, is me.

Presence of a drifter
Admiring the beauty of the well...
Prays for the granting of his wish upon us
Dropping a single red rose in exchange
To lie with us forever....
The red rose, that of which, is our dream.

The Spell...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
If from your lips came tenderness
Or sweet poison to my soul
The spell you cast, I'm already under
My heart you've but stole.

Though if my lips are sealed
To my neck this poison you offer
It shall flow into my veins so smooth
Reaching my heart there after.

A thief in the night to greet me
With such desires as this
When all the while, it was the thief
Who held the poisoned kiss.

The spell you wish to cast dear thief
Is that which I cannot refuse
For if you stare deep into my soul
I already belong to you.

The Mirror
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
The mirror reflects the image
The image defaced
A blur, invisible, a mistake

The mirror shows all
All is everything about you
Nothing, little, a coward

The mirror is truth
Truth is what I believe
All, but nothing  from you

The mirror holds your future
Your future is doomed
Flames, screaming, helpless

The mirror allows you one call
One call to whom it counts
Not me, no way, someone else

The mirror breaks before you
You, who is pathetic and low
****, death rot, vanished

The mirror reflects the image
The image now beautiful
For without you, I reflect

The Man In My Dreams
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Dreams are descending upon me,
Falling deep into a trance,
With these dreams I sleep forever,
Giving up not the perfect chance.
Becoming who I want,
Feeling all that is so good,
Not to worry about emotions aroused,
Because in dreams, we do what we should.
Hearing the rhythm of our heart beats,
Holding tightly, while lips to lips,
Laying me down and caressing my body,
Feeling electrified through my fingertips.
In this moment my life is a dream,
For reality, I beg to become real,
Nothing in this world gives me pleasure,
Like the man in my dreams that I feel.

The Making of A Kind Heart
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
To make a kind heart
First you will need
Tender loving care
With a pinch of good deeds.
A handful of smiles
A cup of warm love
An ounce of effort
Without substitutes above.
Now together you mix
Until all is blended
This will make kindness
Ever so splendid.
Combine a  half cup trust
With a half cup honesty
By spoon fulls drop
Lots of generosity.
To complete the mixture
Add the main part
To the life of kindness
You must add the heart.

The Heart of Stone
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Away at a distance,
Everyday he sets alone,
Leaning up against
A heart that's made of stone.

He reads a book each day,
He often lays to rest,
Does he grieve the loss of love,
Or is life his only test?

Passing by one afternoon,
I turned to him and smiled,
His eyes were filled with sadness
As he spoke, “I'm ok my child.”

Was he feeling lonely,
Or was his heart full of fear
For what was all his heartache,
And why the saddened tears.

Today starts a new day,
The distance is all alone,
No one there to occupy
The heart that's  made of stone.

Did he find his happiness,
Is he at peace within his heart,
Are his sad eyes smiling now,
With his heartache, did he part?

For the books he read each day,
Were not just books you read,
They held photos and memories
of his life that he did grieve.

Now the distance is empty,
But his presence will never be gone,
For his life and his love remain in
The heart that's made of stone.

Each day he carried his memories
Never leaving them alone,
For they lay to rest inside
The heart that's made of stone.

The Face Behind The Name
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
A name appearing before my eyes,
Uncertain of the face it holds,
Through gentle, kind, and loving words,
My heart, this name, unfolds.

Darkened skies, dreary day,
My dreams carry me far away
Into your world, setting me free
No other place I desire to be.

Without a sound of your voice
Though I need not to hear
For from the heart, of the name
Dreams of inspiration did appear.

To dream of such a beautiful soul
To hear thoughts of a glorious mind
Words that flow like the ocean waves
No better place, could I find.

Wondrous and magnificent existence,
The face that holds the name,
Just to know the heart of such,
Has kept me honored, just the same.

The Comfort Of You...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Imagine how nice it would be...
Just to sit down next to you
By a fireplace
And  enjoy being close to each other.

I daydream about...
Lying next to you
Entwining my body with yours
Holding each other, for a moment, in silence.

How would it feel...
To place my head upon your chest
Hearing the sound of your heartbeat
As you caress every inch of my silky hair.

I often wonder...
How sweet it would be
To listen to you read to me
As I fall asleep, drifting into dreamland.

Then I ask myself...
Could you be the sound of the rain
The blanket of my warmth
If so, I long to wrap myself in you.

The Beginning
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Walking away..
Hearing the faint cry of your voice
Calling out to me,
For it's  too late now, I am gone.

My heart left you..
Standing in a distance like shadows
Darkness blinded me,
Allowing me not too see your tears.

No feeling left...
Cold hearted by your wickedness
My blood chilled,
Left me with nothing but death.

To my knees....
I fall, staggered and so empty,
Silence drapes me,
Your face is all I see....

Tis my death....The beginning.

Stronger Force Of Love
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
There's so much I want to tell you
So much I need to say,
Every time I try to speak
Your heart gets in the way.
I know how much you love me
For me, the world you'd give
For every breath you tend to take
Its me that makes you live.
My heart has turned direction
Been stolen by stronger force
To deny the feeling of love I feel
Would make my life lived, worse.
This day I'm here to tell you
My dreams have all come true
I found a love worth living for
This love does not include you.
May your heart find peace and comfort
May you someday find your dream
For everything my life I searched
Now awaits in silence for me.

Stars that fill the heavenly skies
Protect me with your light
Surround me with your presence
Lend me guidance through my life.

Fulfill me with reassurance
By a twinkle in the sky
If goodness, I have accomplished
Or given hope to someone's life.

Guide me with your brightness
By a meeting of the stars
If by chance, I fall astray
Or wander closely into harm.

Embrace me with encouragement
By shining on my life
When I tend to hang my head low
Or speak with bitter strife.

Teach me with fiery knowledge
By just a shooting star
When my lessons I have learned
I'll chase my dreams from afar.

Love me with proud ambition
By a glow where I tread
Perfection has taught me well in life
It is time for me to move ahead.

Stars that fill the heavenly skies
My path through life is clear
Thanks to you for lending me light
I pray that you'll always be near.

Simply Just Knowing
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Could it be the way you walk
Or simply just the way you talk,
Maybe just that piercing stare
Or your fingers running through my hair,
The way your breath caresses my neck
The touch of your lips with each sweet peck,
The feel of your chest all over mine
Your hand on my thighs, and chills up my spine,
Laying beside you everything to spare
Could it be just knowing you are there,
How you lay me down so soft and sweet
Or the gentle ways our eyes do meet,
Maybe it's the way you set me on fire
Walking your fingertips higher and higher,
Your tongue on my body making me hot
But then again maybe it's all that you've got.
The look in your eyes, the touch of your hands
The power behind the kiss that you brand,
The way that you hold me, oh how it feels
The feeling of knowing that our love is real.

Shadow in The Night
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Late at night in her room
This little girl would see her doom.
He stood about 6 feet tall
His shadow lurked on every wall.
He crept in slowly for the taking
Hoping the girl he was not waking.
She would always peek a little though
So every where he moved she would know.
He liked to stand at the foot of her bed
Staring at her as though she were dead.
Only planning his next vicious attack
While she would plan on how to fight back.
Slowly he would move to kneel at her side
Lifting her sheets while his hand he would slide.
Touching her legs, and groping her *******
Rubbing his hands all over her chest.
Her body would stiffen with such disgust
As his body would thrive just out of lust.
He would stand to his feet, then lay by her side
All of her fear she was trying to hide.
She could feel the arousal of his manly pride
As he poked, and he prodded her from behind.
This monster appeared in her room every night
With him appeared this child's worst fright.
She wanted to cry out and plead for help
But ashamed of herself, she would never tell.
Now he is gone the shadow in the night
Still in her room she is filled with the fright.
Every once in a while the shadow she will see
Her mind and her heart just can't let it be.
Her soul has been damaged by his own lust
He repaid with his death, in God I do trust.
When I heard of his passing tears I did shed
Was it comfort in knowing the monster was dead?
Or did I somewhat feel sorry that I just let it be
That he died with the secret of what he did to me?
Nine years of living a life filled with fright
Every time I would go to my room at night.
Even though he is gone, I sometimes feel him near
Like the faint whisper of his voice in my ear.
My pillow I grip, my eyes tightly squeeze
There is a slight trembling from each of my knees.
My heart starts to race, chills crawl my spine
What is it now you are trying to find?
No longer a child, I'm stronger you see
You are dead and you can't hurt me.
Go away monster, release all of my fright
For you are no longer a shadow in the night.

Set Her Free...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Do you ever hear the footsteps
That her tiny feet leave
Do you ever hear her weeping
For your heart she doth grieve.

It's she who stands a shadow
Human eyes cannot see
It's she that longs to be here
It's she that comes for thee.

Her hands cannot touch you
Her heart cries out in pain
For if she had one moment
Your love she'd wish to gain.

Her lips as cold as winter
You shiver as she kisses your cheek
Awaken by the sudden cold
To your love, you start to speak.

Not knowing that she's there
Tears you begin to shed
You curl into a fetal position
As she tries to caress your head.

Suddenly, almost knowing
She is right before your eyes
You scream her name while weeping
Crystal tears she starts to cry.

If only she could hold you
Let you know how much she cares
No matter what your life may bring
Her soul will always be there.

If ever you feel cold at night
It's her love that she brings
When the wind shall blow aloud
It's her love to you she sings.

When the daylight starts to fade
You'll want her there with you
Just know that she is always there
No matter what you do.

When she said forever
That was her solemn vow
Even tho her bodies gone
Her soul is with you now.

She's lost between the worlds
For she cannot seem to leave
Until she knows your heart has healed
Her heart will always grieve.

She needs to know you're happy
Your sadness keeps her in your heart
For once she knows you can go on
Her soul will forever part.

Knowing you'll never forget her
That you're love for her will remain
Now that she is not here with you
Nothing can be the same.

You'll find your way to happiness
You'll set her spirit free
In your heart, she'll understand
That's where she will always be.

Secretly I.....
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Secretly I must say you are amazing,
In every single way you can be.
Secretly I must tell you, my love
That I haven fallen deep for thee.

Secretly I want you to know
That I need you now and forever
Secretly you must know in your heart
we are meant to be together.

Secretly I wanna make love to you
until the sky is full of light
Secretly then we shall share a day
until the day turns into night.

Secretly I will  share with you
the feelings that I hold
Secretly I'm so in love with you
and with you, I wanna grow old.

Searching For Your Mind
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Alone in silence with my thoughts
Rain pouring like tears from my eyes
Cold and damp the earth feels
Hearing echos of my sighs
Placing my chin in my hands
Closing my eyes trying to see
Is there anything out there somewhere
That could be waiting just for me
Like a beautiful rose in bloom
Or the sun to fill my day with light
Warmth to blanket my lonely soul
Maybe just the sounds of the night.
Moonlight to paint my face with smiles
Stars to capture my deepest thoughts
Carrying them away into the night
Bringing back to me what I have sought.
Words filled with strength and emotion
Flowing like a river through a valley
Seeking the minds of others to enrapture
Leaving me with no more to worry.

Sadness
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Sadness lives to hollow the heart
Its pleasure is our pain
It abides in darkness and fear
It lives for weakness to gain.
Burying itself within our minds
Trying to steal our dreams
Desiring one tear to fall
Knowing it shall succeed.
Sadness is but a figment
That of which we can control
If we refuse to get lost within it
It cannot deprive our souls.
Our strength and our wisdom
Keeps us standing tall
As long as we fight sadness
We are saved from it all.

River Of Lonely Tears...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Yesterday I cried a river, of lonely tears for you
My heart it breaks in pieces, for I know not what to do.
I want to feel your touch, and kiss your lips of sweet,
To whisper to you softly, and hold you as you sleep.
Today I cried a river, of lonely tears for you
For I am scared in many ways, and know not what to do.
The feelings that I hold, go way beyond belief,
But telling you how I feel, could be my true relief.
Tomorrow if I cry a river, of lonely tears for you
My heart will open up, and I'll know just what to do.
I'll have to tell you that I love you, it may be to soon to say,
I'd rather say it now then wait, because I'm feeling so afraid.
No more to cry a river, of lonely tears for you
My love has found his way to me, we've started something new.
Today I smile an ocean, of happiness with no more fears
I say goodbye forever, to the river of lonely tears.

"Remembering"
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
As I set here feeling all alone
I'm thinking of all the moments..
When we held each other and laughed
til we ached with joy...
and tears trickled down our faces.

Remembering the way you smile
at me...like it is the first time
every chance you get.
And the way you kiss me
like it is the last chance...
Every chance I give.

Remembering all the sweet words
you say to me...
But even more, the way you say them.

I pray, one day, we can think back
on these moments...
As we sit in silent comfort,
Holding each other close, because
it's all we know to do..
Through all the rough times our love
abides... stronger than anything else
ever could.

Remembering how you look
deep into my eyes...
But even more, how it makes me feel.

Remembering the way that you touch
my face,
And the way that I hold yours...
when we make love.
Or when you whisper in my ear,
just to say "you love me"..
And the way it makes me smile.

Now, I want you to remember the way
I look at you,
With big eyes and a bottomless heart...
Always wondering if you know how
truly wonderful I think you are.
And although I've hurt you more than
I ever wanted to do...
I want you to remember.....
I love you now and forever...
Like it's never going to hurt.

Reflections Of Life
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
As I peer into the mirror, what is it I see?
A beautiful face staring back at me.
Though the image is different than that of my own
There are a few resemblances that are clearly shown.
You are there, it is you that I see,
That beautiful face that stares back at me.
Reflections of a love so true,
The bond that was shared between me and you.
The things that you taught me, the love that you hold,
Are the reasons why I am so strong and so bold.
You gave to me wings and allowed me to soar,
You gave to me, life, and I owe you much more.
Cherish your "MOTHER"  and the love that she gives,
For a reflection of life, oh, how precious it is.
From this day forward in the mirror there will be,
Reflections of my mother staring back at me.

Peaceful Place
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
A garden of despair
Or sadness you may see.
Beauty is beyond it all
As for here, is just a dream.
It's elegance and silence
Take my soul to faraway
The beauty it beholds
Is why I come to dream each day.
In this peaceful place I sit
A gentle breeze always blows
Somewhere midst the silence
Is where all my dreams doth go.
When night begins to beacon
I am awakened from deep in sleep
As I stand to leave this peaceful place
My dreams it shall safely keep.
For another day is arising soon
Calling me nearer to thee
Back in this peaceful place
I'll return to continue my dream.

Pathetic Maggot
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
I do not seek your company
Nor do I seek your time
All I seek is your soul
I want to make it mine.

Come, walk with me
In darkness, and cold
Feel a life of emptiness
Your hand I shall not hold.

You'll crawl like a pathetic maggot
Through my fleshy droppings
Bowing at my feet, you need me
For now there is no stopping.

You seek to find me everywhere
When I am not around
For summoned into evil
Forever you are bound.

Now I seek your company
I shall always seek your time
Pathetic maggot you've become
Wallowing in my grime.

It was you who beckoned me
Begging for me to appear
Now that I have come for you
Your request you must adhere.

I recall the good insisting
That you please not beckon me
Since you did not take the advice
You now belong to me.

I can mold you any way I choose
make you anything I please
You are now a pathetic maggot
A server unto me.

Once you beckoned unto me
Your soul you did sell
The time has come for you
To rot away in hell.

Part Of You, My Creator..
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
You made me, I am yours,
Question not why I am here
Love me all the same
Help me grow, strong and persistent
Show me the way through life, as you know it..
Teach me to be a leader, not a follower
Allow me to learn from your knowledge
Help me understand pain, as I endure it
Lend me wisdom, and encouragement
Teach me, to be like you, my creator.
Help me understand the differences in life..
To learn how to be kind, and sympathetic
Help someone in need, without praise in return
Help me reach the stars, without stretching
Create an amazing masterpiece, without art
To love all, without any reservations
Be proud of me, of who I am, for I am part of you.

Our Purpose
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
All the while we wait
For life, come what may
Taking the good with the bad
Each and every waking day.

Sometimes in life we realize
Things aren't always as they seem
Even though we continue on
As living in a dream.

Often we ponder our existence
Answers to our purposes on earth
Maybe we are here to dream our dreams
Or maybe to explore our worth.

Are we worth a life each day
Perhaps we are worth so much more
In time we shall all know
Just what our purpose was for.

If only to write a book, or two
Or love with the heart we are granted
To give the most of who we are
For we are the seeds He planted.

Go on about your life this day
and everyday there after
No more worries why we're here
Just fill your days with laughter.

In your heart you'll soon understand
the purpose He has for us each
Until that day, live life, come what may
When He's ready our souls he shall seek.

Our Dreamland
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
When I fell asleep last night
I had the most amazing dream
We sat together peacefully
By the rose petal stream.
The sky was baby blue
Not a cloud in sight
The sun draped our bodies
As it shone ever so bright.
The grass was soft as cotton
Yet as green as it could be
The trees were full of color
For only our eyes to see.
The birds, chirping love songs
Soft breeze in the air
Our dreamland was so beautiful
As only you and I were there.

Only By Midnights Kiss
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Standing in a distance
Staring across the room
Will this be their fate
Or their everlasting doom?

Her heart pounds profusely
The sound he cannot miss
For they shall fall in love
But only by midnights kiss.

He walks towards her silently
He is music to her heart
She glares at him with passion
For they never want to part.

He takes her hand so gentle
"May I have this dance?"
Not a word escapes her lips
The answer is in her glance.

He bows before her lovingly
For this dance he shall not miss
As she flows across the dance floor
They await the midnights kiss.

As he holds her in his arms
They dance the night away
With so much love before them
Not quite the chance to say.

The night begins to fade
On her way, she needs to be
Caressed by all his tender words
His love, her heart can see.

Knowing if she leaves now
It shall be the end of this
If she stays her love she'll know
But only by midnights kiss.

She stares into the night
It's about to be her doom
As she looks out across the crowd
Of the people who fill the room.

Their eyes meet in wonder
Towards each other they stride
For the feelings held within their hearts
Each can no longer hide.

Into his arms she plunges
A magical night filled with bliss
For two people have fallen in love
Only by midnights kiss.

On This Day
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Beautiful white gown, flowing so fair,
Babies breath wrapped in my hair
Lovely flowers, I hold in my hands,
Awaiting the hour that we shall both stand
Vowing our love, underneath open sky,
As doves in flight pass us by
True love has met it's glorious day
Knowing that forever, it's here to stay
Feeling the air breath on our skin,
The sun, to our souls, sinking within
As we vow to each other to always be true
From this day forward, it's me and you
A chance to make a brand new start
With love to over flow each others hearts
Before you, I stand, to walk down the isle
My true love awaits, with a gorgeous smile
My heart is singing from deep within,
For this is the moment our life will begin
My journey starts, towards my love so true
Tears fill my eyes, each step closer to you
On this day, my dream has come true
To marry a man as wonderful as you
Now together we stand, side by side
We say our vows with honor and pride
To have your name, now as my own
We kiss with passion, our love is shown
Down the isle, now as one
Our lifelong journey has just begun.
Beautiful day, wondrous start
We are now the owners of one big heart
To envision a love, so perfect and true
This is my dream for when I marry you.

Old heart, beating strong
Together we'll stop...
It won't be long.

Give it time, see me through
There are things...
We've yet to do.

We can't give up, not just yet
I have to make sure..
That my life is all set.

In due time, the sound will end
The music shared...
By life long friends.

Before we go, we must say goodbye
To those we cherish...
Whom we loved all our lives.

Walk the path, we've never taken
To ask forgiveness...
From those we've forsaken.

Handing out thanks, where it is due
For being kind to others...
As they were always kind to you.

Analyze the truth, see it as we may
For all through life...
We should have done this everyday.

Now it's time to go, no time for looking back
We cannot make up for...
All the years that we now lack.

Old heart, beating strong
Together we stop...
Our life is now gone.

Need For Life
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
If you were the raindrops
that fell from the sky
I'd fill a glass with each one
Owning all of you
Placing you inside me
Each time I felt the desire
to be close to you.
Rubbing you all over my body
Just to feel each glistening drop of you
If you were the trees
that grew from the earth
I'd plant a new one each day
To have as much of you as I wanted
Allowing you to shelter me
Keep me shaded from the world
I'd become your need for life
In order to survive
You would then own me.

My Plea...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
The waves roll onto the shore
Dampening my feet...
Imagine being swept away
Drifting out afar...
What force keeps me standing
I want to fall...
Drowning in peaceful waters
Gone just like that.
Footprints left in the sand
For the next...
