I said a prayer for you today
Down on bended knee
For I know that He can heal your pain
And help your heart to see.

I didn't pray for money or fame
I hope you'll understand
I prayed for reassurance
And guidance from His hands.

I asked that he surround you
With all His mighty love and care
To bless you with peaceful endurance
Let you know that He's always there.

I asked that He show you courage
To fight the battles that lie ahead
Give you wisdom to see the good in life
Not to see all the bad things instead.

If by chance you're wondering
Why I prayed so much for you
Because I know within your broken heart
It's something you forgot to do.

Carousel of Love
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Beneath the light of the starry sky
Embedded love fills my heart
Awaiting the journey pleasant and true
For the carousel of love to start.
Man of my dreams where for art thou
As I set with my thoughts of you
Magical moments entice my heart
Awaiting the carousel of love so true.
Moonlight takes over the light from the stars
In a distance I see the man of my dreams
Coming for me like a breeze in the night
The carousel of love starts to gleam.
The meeting of two hearts over joyed
By nights end they shall vanish as one
To eternity so fair and true
The carousel of love, just begun.

Lonely Cottage
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Down by the lake, in the cottage made of stone
The porch is taken over by all the flowers grown.
The walkway needs weeded, and the chimney needs repairs
There are holes in the wood that we used to build the stairs.
The windows are fogged over from the dust in the air
Underneath the shade tree sits my worn out rocking chair.
Inside is full of cob webs, and smells of filthy must
The kitchen sink is tarnished, and covered in rust.
The bathrooms are molded from the absence of use
The wooden floors are covered with a thin coat of dew.
From the lack of attention and tender loving care
The beauty of the cottage has vanished in thin air.
If the time were taken to show how much we cared
The beauty of the cottage, and the warmth would still be there.
Over time it faded, the need of caring hands
Now down by the lake, the lonely cottage stands.

Unknown
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Look around you...
What is it that you see?
You think it's all of nature
About the birds and bees...
I see a beauty to most unknown
One inhibited from life
A peaceful reassurance
Seen only through my eyes.
None other can captivate
What before your eyes is shone
For deep inside the heart of life...
Lives a love to most unknown.
You cannot call it as you see it
For you see not what it is
My heart has the sight to see...
What before my eyes shall give.

Delicate Rose
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Friendship as delicate as a rose
Seemingly smooth, and vibrant
Trusting in your touch
Fearing not the spoiling of purity
Holding closely, with gentle pressure
Petals of silk, a treasure they are
Just like that of you and me
Bound by stems and leaves
Holding together the perfect beauty
As for you and I, we are held together
bound by heart and soul
Like the rose, we are delicate
For friendship is worthy
to be smooth and vibrant
Loved and nurtured by the heart
It expands into something beautiful
Treasured memories
Un forgotten laughs and tears
Secrets never revealed
Shared moments for a lifetime
To trade this for a rose
Never, for the rose will wilt
losing  its beauty, left to die
Though our friendship is described
as that of a delicate rose
Our friendship will last
a lifetime, without fading
or wilting..nor becoming anything
less than beautiful...

My Every Thought
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
In my mind you stay
Planted from the purest love
Nurtured by each thought
Strengthened with knowledge
Loved by my heart
Each moment you are thought of
you grow more and more
spreading through my mind
like wild flowers in a field
taking over, draping their beauty
As for you in my mind
you are my thought,
my comfort, and my beauty.
Having not to share you with the world
It is I, who loves you,
It is I, who sees you,
To everyone else you are not
the beauty that I see
For inside my mind
you are everything.
In my mind,
You are LOVE eternal,
The only love I have
ever known....
The one I desire,
need, want, and long for.
Every single day that I awake.
So in my mind you will
always stay the only love for me.

My sweet child, please don't  cry
For I am right here by your side
To take away all your pain
To bring you sunshine from the rain
I carry your heart everywhere I go
Holding it closely when I am feeling low
Your laughter brings music into my heart
Your smiles are the reason I cannot part
Everything about you is beautiful indeed
I am so proud of the life that you lead
Always remember when tears you have cried
Every single moment I was there by your side
Sometimes I would hold you right where you stand
Other times I'd take you by your sweet little hand
Giving you the comfort that I know you need
Taking your sorrows that your soul heeds
The times when your stares are hard to trace
It is I, who stands before your face
The person who brought you into this world
Has loved you since, as her little girl
So when you're scared and you just wanna hide
Please know I am right there by your side.

Soulful Musician
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Into the heavens your soul shall soar
An Angel of Gods chosen flight
For from goodness comes eternal life
Peace be with you tonight.
A face that will never be forgotten
His music, from his heart, did play
Such a tragic and overwhelming loss
Of this soulful musician today.
Though life is never what we expect
Lived from day to day
Sometimes we question what God does
Though we should except it come what may.
Through all the trials and tribulations
Even heartache and tears
We must remember that you are an Angel now
Walking home without any fears.
When your thoughts carry you away
Look to the sky and see
The soulful musician looking back at you
An Angel of God, now, is HE.

My Little Porcelain Doll
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Picking you up
Tears fall down my face
As I look into your eyes
The ones I once loved
There is nothing.

Holding you in mid air
I ask, "WHY?"
Angry and hurt, I curse you
It was my heart, my heart
Not yours....never yours.

The beautiful smiles
The innocent heart
Dying just to be loved
Lips like that of rose petals
No other soul so complete.

As I hold you in my hands
The reflection I see, is not you
Lest mine eyes misjudge the reflection
It is evil that lurks about you
Slithering through your veins.

Afraid of my discovery
I fall to my knees
Asking God for the forgiveness
Of the crime I am about to commit
Killing the only one I ever truly loved.

Holding you higher, I glare into your eyes
Once what was beautiful, is now evil
I loved you, I needed you, you killed me
Now your death awaits you
Here in my own loving hands.

As I lower you into my arms
I look deep into your eyes
The Porcelain doll I once loved
Who's beauty captivated the world
Most of all, captured my heart.

Your head I bash onto the floor
Awaiting to hear you scream
Each time I bash, I yell every word
that reminds me of who you truly are
Deceitful, liar, dishonest, and fake.

To your death I take you
Leaving you no time to beg
As for me, I am once again complete
Knowing that you cannot hurt me anymore
I am strong, and I will survive.

As for you, my sweet, little porcelain doll
You shall forever be nothing more
Than pieces of my life that I ripped apart
thrown into a plastic bag
Buried in your favorite rose garden.

Everyday as I walk passed this garden
That we so lovingly planted together
I smile, not in remembrance of you
But in remembrance of the life
you gave to me, and the death I gave to you....

My little Porcelain Doll.

Forever We Both Shall Live
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
From this moment on I am yours
To you, my life I now give
I promise to love you forever, my dear
As long as we both shall live.

To give my heart to only you
To be the one who makes you smile
To let you know I love you so
I will go the extra mile.

Kiss you after a long days work
Hug as though we have never touched
Lay beside you as you sleep
For you are the life I love so much.

Even when our bodies have withered
We've become senile and wrinkled too
There will be no other place on earth
Except the place I share with you.

Our love will leave impressions deep
For no one shall ever forget
The most beautiful love shared on this earth
Began when the two of us met.

At the end of our journey together
We will find comfort in knowing
That even when we have parted the earth
In the Heavens our love is still growing.

As long as we both shall live, my love
Are the words I speak to you,
For I know that even when death arrives
Our love shall see us through.

We will leave this earth, not each other
And to you my life I now give,
I promise to love you forever, my dear
Knowing forever we both shall live.

Image Of Perfection...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
An image painted on a canvas
For the whole world to see
Is the image what they notice
Or is it what truly lies beneath
On the outside there's beauty
Radiating a hint of happiness
Filled with life and enthusiasm
Enjoyed by all who see, or notice
The hands that created this masterpiece
Must have been solid, and stern
For the wall that holds this canvas
Has a black lining the eyes can't see
Bitterness, shallow, and heartless
Covered with a coating of gold
To the human eye to seem like perfection
For there is no happiness within
An abundance of repentance
that grows under this image,
stretching high up along the walls
The image of everlasting beauty
Trees swaying in the background
Beautiful flowers blooming abundantly
The sun shining as though just ripened
Birds soaring through the air,
chirping this magical, mystical morning
Dew lying upon the image
leaving a sparkle to catch the eye
The image seen as it is wanted to be seen
Painted from the mind of someone
needing perfection taking nothing less
Knowing you can't cut a stone with scissors
Or fly like a bird without wings
You can't even create perfection
When there is no such a thing.
Minus all the beauty that this image holds
Would your attention be captured the same
If by fascination you could see with it
Without it what would you see
A canvas hanging on a wall alone
No beauty within or without
Black walls that line the canvas, no image
Empty, rebellious, alone
Fascination is taken away by reality
Once the image becomes clear it is no longer
an image, nor perfection you see
Though now noticeable the canvas
rests on the wall that is lined in black
Plain as the sky on a glorious day
The canvas holds no image of beauty
No image of any kind
It was merely what someone wanted you to see
Hoping that in reality the image
would always be there, stay the same
Beautiful, happy, loving
Speaking a thousand words just
from what your mind captured
It is now faint to the eyes, clear
That this canvas is nothing more
than a dishonest piece of work.

"Remembering"
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
As I set here feeling all alone
I'm thinking of all the moments..
When we held each other and laughed
til we ached with joy...
and tears trickled down our faces.

Remembering the way you smile
at me...like it is the first time
every chance you get.
And the way you kiss me
like it is the last chance...
Every chance I give.

Remembering all the sweet words
you say to me...
But even more, the way you say them.

I pray, one day, we can think back
on these moments...
As we sit in silent comfort,
Holding each other close, because
it's all we know to do..
Through all the rough times our love
abides... stronger than anything else
ever could.

Remembering how you look
deep into my eyes...
But even more, how it makes me feel.

Remembering the way that you touch
my face,
And the way that I hold yours...
when we make love.
Or when you whisper in my ear,
just to say "you love me"..
And the way it makes me smile.

Now, I want you to remember the way
I look at you,
With big eyes and a bottomless heart...
Always wondering if you know how
truly wonderful I think you are.
And although I've hurt you more than
I ever wanted to do...
I want you to remember.....
I love you now and forever...
Like it's never going to hurt.

The Beginning
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Walking away..
Hearing the faint cry of your voice
Calling out to me,
For it's  too late now, I am gone.

My heart left you..
Standing in a distance like shadows
Darkness blinded me,
Allowing me not too see your tears.

No feeling left...
Cold hearted by your wickedness
My blood chilled,
Left me with nothing but death.

To my knees....
I fall, staggered and so empty,
Silence drapes me,
Your face is all I see....

Tis my death....The beginning.

LOVE, It's Not...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Love, you proclaim
Boastful and arrogant
Love, it's not
Imagination, maybe
or could it be
the belief that it's
LOVE?

Love, you hide
Scared and pathetic
Love, it's not
a desire, perhaps
or just the feeling
of guilt, so you pretend
it's LOVE?

Love, you know not
Selfish and greedy
Love, it's not
Feeling proud,
I sense, for you give
nothing in return
for my generosity
That of which is LOVE!!!!!

Together Again
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Tomorrow is a dawning
Of a new and beautiful day
Excitement fills me inside and out
In ways I cannot say
It's almost like I'm whole again
Things are nearly as they should be
Right now it's all still incomplete
Until tomorrow your face I see.
When our lips greet each other
Our arms reach out with love
The sounds of our hearts beating
And the sun shines down from above.
The laughter and excitement
We shall see within each other
Nothing in this whole wide world
Beats the two of us together.

The Making of A Kind Heart
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
To make a kind heart
First you will need
Tender loving care
With a pinch of good deeds.
A handful of smiles
A cup of warm love
An ounce of effort
Without substitutes above.
Now together you mix
Until all is blended
This will make kindness
Ever so splendid.
Combine a  half cup trust
With a half cup honesty
By spoon fulls drop
Lots of generosity.
To complete the mixture
Add the main part
To the life of kindness
You must add the heart.

Torture
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
My sadness has become torture
Over ruled by my thoughts
My blank stare into the world
Feeling empty, lonely, scared
To see the face of a thousand smiles
Could only draw me from sorrow
The voice of eternal strength
Eyes that are destined to blind
Only from weakness..
Where if all my sadness arises
Hast thou happiness disappeared
Doth my heart seek darkness
Or is it darkness that found me
Blood fills the eyes that cry
Death awaits the heart that loves
Seek me, from this dying torture
Grant me, away from weakness
Bring me, my true love.

Wretched And Withered Soul
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Wretched and withered soul
Why has thou been created?
God must have had a blank moment
As your life he contemplated.

While in the midst of his discretion
Or the blanks that he once drew
There was no better soul to forget
Than the wretched and withered you.

There were lives given for reasons
Each and everyone included a heart
As you fell astray, and withered away
God must have forgotten that part.

They say, "Evil is as evil does,"
It wears a face of black
It shall ponder in Hell forever
Without ever looking back.

Wasted time, and pointless creation
God's  work here is all done
When the book of life is opened up
For you, there will be none.

You'll stand before him shaky
Scared and so alone
When he calls out the names of Good
You're name shall never be shown.

As Evil comes to take you away
You'll ask, "Evil, must I go with you?"
God will stare you in the face
And answer, "Yes, I'm afraid you do!"

Though you'll question his decision
Your head, you'll hang in shame
But in your wretched, withered soul
You'll have no one else to blame.

God loves all, who love themselves
Gives good to those who believe
For those who lose there way somehow
The pits of hell they receive.

As I'm led away from the pearly gates
Where many people will be waiting for me
They shall see the hand of Evil in mine
Leading me where I deserve to be.

You could take this life and end it now
You know, the one that you created
The wretched and withered soul
That you so strongly contemplated.

The one that while in creation
You must have drawn a blank
Because someone like me, is not God's work
I only have Evil to thank.

Timeless Hours
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
You say I cannot love you,
Lest your heart judge thine own,
For love is more than just a word,
From the heart and soul be shown.

I stand before my Prince today
Arms open like the wings of a dove,
Praying that in my arms you'll fall
Giving me timeless hours of love.

If but just a dream I seek
Tomorrow shall be tears of pain,
Thy heart will shrivel of death
Thy love will die in vain.

Join me my love, this day
Except the love that I hold dear,
For naught in timeless hours
Shall place your heart so near.

I bid thee a love that shall be eternal
A love full of lastingness and power,
Our souls shall rule for eternity
While our hearts dance in timeless hours.

Our Dreamland
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
When I fell asleep last night
I had the most amazing dream
We sat together peacefully
By the rose petal stream.
The sky was baby blue
Not a cloud in sight
The sun draped our bodies
As it shone ever so bright.
The grass was soft as cotton
Yet as green as it could be
The trees were full of color
For only our eyes to see.
The birds, chirping love songs
Soft breeze in the air
Our dreamland was so beautiful
As only you and I were there.

As you lay beside her silently
Her beauty is your embrace
As you touch her cheek so tender
A smile peeks from her face.

Gazing at her with gentle eyes
Pressing firmly against her hips
Laying  your hand upon her heart
Planting softly, a kiss on her lips.

As you stare at her with amazement
Tears began to fall from her eyes
You gently brush the tears away
Saying, "Baby please don't cry."

Crying out, she whispers  your name
You feel the flutter of her chest
For now she's weeping relentlessly
For the man who loved her best.

Over and over, your name she repeats
Tears now flowing like rain
It's hard for you to fathom right now
That she's dreaming of you again.

Lifting her head from her pillow
Holding her close in your arms
Gently caressing her falling hair
Telling her, "Please baby be strong."

As you hold her in your arms so tight
Her head resting on your chest
A tear falls from your weeping eyes
"I'm the man who loves you best."

You lay her down to finish the dream
Leaving her with your last goodbye
A gentle kiss upon her lips
And the teardrops that you cried.

As you go to leave, she calls out your name
Wiping the tears from her eyes
"I love you sweetheart, so much that it hurts
And I bid you my last goodbye."

Tears fall regretfully down your face
As you turn to journey on your way
Leaving behind the love of your life
"I'll see you again someday."

Awoke In Love
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Someone once told me
Love is like a dream

Strewn rose petal pathways
And a delicate flowing stream.

Beautiful mountain tops
Covered with snow

Winds that whisper love
Everywhere you go.

Flowers in full bloom
Like a fairytale enchanted

A wishing well of colors
Where all wishes are granted.

A gazeebo twined with roses
Surrounded by light of fireflies

Clouds of cotton candy
That illuminate the skies.

As night begins to fall
The moon takes the sun away

Still as beautiful as ever
This dream will surely stay.

And soft as a breeze
My heart did flutter

For with every word he spoke
There not once was a stutter.

For I fell in a reverie
Full of pixies and such

When Love did talk to me
And whispered, I love you this much.

I love you like cherries
That burst in your mouth,

I love you like wisteria
That blossom down South,

I love you like dolphins
Love to jump free,

I love you like the ocean
Where waves crash gracefully.

I love you like a mountain
Loves to drink from the sky,

I love you as sweet gentle truth
That betrays the worst lie.

But as I crossed
The green hills so favored

It is that moment in choice
I will forever savor,

For as I awoke
In the morning divine

I saw all the beauties
In the bright sunshine

I awoke in love
And as I turned around

It was to see a smile
I have yet not found

For as love is as mystical
As mystical can be

It is my dream pleasant
That forever belongs to me.

With a hint of love to fill the air
Sweet caresses to know you are there.
Kisses of ecstasy that entice my soul
Passions surround me as I lose control.
Familiar dwellings of a beautiful face
Miles of torture override this place.
Tho never to part nor be stolen away
Those miles we shall separate someday.
Closeness will fill our lives with a hue
Colors of love for just me and you.
If I could just hold you near to me
There is no other place I would rather be.
Kissing your lips, as I touch your skin
Bringing me into you deeply within.
Whispers so softly that we shall share
To each others hearts of how much we care.
If I could right now, flow into your heart
Forever I'd stay never wanting to part.
My love would be tender, honest and true
Until death do we part I will love only you.

Sweaty and week
Dreaming of you
Your heart I seek

Now this day

Loving you
Desiring you
Your touch
Leaves me mesmerized

Lips of ecstasy
Tremble...
The taste so sweet
Beating heart

Stop me now

This day
Let my heart
Belong to you
For it is love

Love I seek
With you
Holding you
Craving all of you

Forever this day

You take me
To unknown places
Only my soul
Could ever crave

Back to sleep
To live the dream
With you
Forever

This day...

I sleep
Dreaming of
You and I
In love..forever

Never awake
For this is
all I know
Right now...

Dream my sweet
With me
Feel the love
That I have

Crave with me

Forever...

More Than Just A Dream...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
For every time the wind blows
A thought of you awakens
With each draft there after
My heart is but forsaken.

With every single rain drop
In my thoughts you tend to linger
With every rose that opens
A thorn but ****** my finger.

With every thought of you
It's true, I must confess
A dream you come to be
Although I seem to love you best.

Our hands have never touched
Our eyes have yet to meet
But with every waken moment
It is YOU, I feel I need.

With these thoughts, I follow
Where ever they shall lead
In hopes that maybe someday
They'll be more than just a dream.

The Spell...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
If from your lips came tenderness
Or sweet poison to my soul
The spell you cast, I'm already under
My heart you've but stole.

Though if my lips are sealed
To my neck this poison you offer
It shall flow into my veins so smooth
Reaching my heart there after.

A thief in the night to greet me
With such desires as this
When all the while, it was the thief
Who held the poisoned kiss.

The spell you wish to cast dear thief
Is that which I cannot refuse
For if you stare deep into my soul
I already belong to you.

Your beauty invites me
Beckoning me into your surroundings...
Anxious to make a wish upon this beautiful well
Taken by its wondrous reflections
I cease everything that I am....
The well, that of which, is you.

Savoring the peacefulness
Absorbing every drop of you...
For into the wishing well I wish to drown
A single coin tossed in your presence
Tarnished by your beauty...
The desired coin, that of which, is me.

Presence of a drifter
Admiring the beauty of the well...
Prays for the granting of his wish upon us
Dropping a single red rose in exchange
To lie with us forever....
The red rose, that of which, is our dream.

Hold your head up in all that you do.

Fight the fight with you far and wide.

So take my hand and hold on tight.

Unspoken Passions
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
My shy eyes gaze into yours
My emotions masked with soft aura of innocence
Like a sun kissed dandelion at dawn

But underneath, I conceal a fiery inferno of unspoken passion
Part of me hoping you'll see it's warmth
Another part hoping you won't.

Your entrancing beauty captures my breath
Filling me with a sensation of warmth and chills
Every hue of emotion melts into me
Ebbing and flowing with each turn

I want to touch you, but my heart is in chains
My love is an underground river
Flowing towards you, but then scurrying away
Quietly running through every crevasse of my being
My words drown within a torrent of emotions

As I wonder
And long endlessly
In my unquenchable thirst

My eyes brimming with hopeful longing
Sparkling like ripples
as your sunniness kisses the watery depths of my soul

Your Touch
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
You brush against me gently
A hint of what you need,
Our bodies feel inspired
By the passions that we heed.

Your eyes, they cross me softly
Bringing chills upon my spine
For just to feel you touch me
Is a feeling one of a  kind.

So, sweep your hands across me
Your finger tips on my skin,
Plant your hands within my soul
Bury your love deep within.

Make love to me all through the night
And when the night shall end
Hold me in your arms so tight
Never letting go again.

Cruel Intentions
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Bitterly cold, like ice
Your presence leaves me starving for warmth
Eyes black as coal
Empty stare leaves me desiring the blue sky
A smile cursed by evil
Disgust leaves me reaching for the heavens
Your touch, so empty
Hunger leaves me longing to be fulfilled
Your laugh, filled with pain
Leaves me longing to hear music of sweetness
Your thoughts occupied with filth
Leaves me invaded with pureness
Your heart collapsed by hatred
Has left me overwhelmed, by my heart, full of love.

Pathetic Maggot
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
I do not seek your company
Nor do I seek your time
All I seek is your soul
I want to make it mine.

Come, walk with me
In darkness, and cold
Feel a life of emptiness
Your hand I shall not hold.

You'll crawl like a pathetic maggot
Through my fleshy droppings
Bowing at my feet, you need me
For now there is no stopping.

You seek to find me everywhere
When I am not around
For summoned into evil
Forever you are bound.

Now I seek your company
I shall always seek your time
Pathetic maggot you've become
Wallowing in my grime.

It was you who beckoned me
Begging for me to appear
Now that I have come for you
Your request you must adhere.

I recall the good insisting
That you please not beckon me
Since you did not take the advice
You now belong to me.

I can mold you any way I choose
make you anything I please
You are now a pathetic maggot
A server unto me.

Once you beckoned unto me
Your soul you did sell
The time has come for you
To rot away in hell.

Peaceful Place
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
A garden of despair
Or sadness you may see.
Beauty is beyond it all
As for here, is just a dream.
It's elegance and silence
Take my soul to faraway
The beauty it beholds
Is why I come to dream each day.
In this peaceful place I sit
A gentle breeze always blows
Somewhere midst the silence
Is where all my dreams doth go.
When night begins to beacon
I am awakened from deep in sleep
As I stand to leave this peaceful place
My dreams it shall safely keep.
For another day is arising soon
Calling me nearer to thee
Back in this peaceful place
I'll return to continue my dream.

The Mirror
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
The mirror reflects the image
The image defaced
A blur, invisible, a mistake

The mirror shows all
All is everything about you
Nothing, little, a coward

The mirror is truth
Truth is what I believe
All, but nothing  from you

The mirror holds your future
Your future is doomed
Flames, screaming, helpless

The mirror allows you one call
One call to whom it counts
Not me, no way, someone else

The mirror breaks before you
You, who is pathetic and low
****, death rot, vanished

The mirror reflects the image
The image now beautiful
For without you, I reflect

I Wish I May
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Hold you in my arms tonight.
To let you know how much I care
All my love with you I'll share.

I wish I may, I wish I might,
Touch your lips to mine tonight.
For your sweetness I long to taste
Leaving none behind to waste.

I wish I may, I wish I might,
Feel our bodies pressing tight
Passions burn and love unfolds
The realm of love we begin to mold.

I wish I may, I wish I might,
Make love to you all through the night
Have your body blanket mine
Our passions raw and unconfined.

I wish I may, I wish I might,
Transcend my love beyond your sight
To make you see and understand
As love is just the way I planned.

My One Day Of Freedom
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
My life that's just so hectic
Is far from calming down
Stress levels overflow
Aggravated by every sound.

My head like a volcano
ready to errupt to the max
what I wouldn't give for
Just one day to relax.

No kids yelling, "Mommy"
Laundry that's already clean
A house so immaculate
Not even dust is seen.

Dishes washed and put away
The floors all nicely swept
Everything in its place
Exactly where its kept.

A massage for the body
Jacuzzi for the mind
A drug to make me stressless
It doesn't matter what kind.

Slave-free environment
No duties to acquire
Living just ONE day of freedom
To do what I desire.

Perhaps I wake up feeling lazy
Or I wake up wanting to shop
It will be my choice to do
whatever until I drop.

If the house turns to chaos
Or crashes to the ground
At least I'll know that when it did
ONE day of freedom I had found.

Sadness
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Sadness lives to hollow the heart
Its pleasure is our pain
It abides in darkness and fear
It lives for weakness to gain.
Burying itself within our minds
Trying to steal our dreams
Desiring one tear to fall
Knowing it shall succeed.
Sadness is but a figment
That of which we can control
If we refuse to get lost within it
It cannot deprive our souls.
Our strength and our wisdom
Keeps us standing tall
As long as we fight sadness
We are saved from it all.

The Gift Of Friends
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
There are days when
beneath our adulthood comes
the innocent child within,
who giggles at the little things
and wears a silly grin.

There are days when
melancholy comes to
visit for a while;
the mind feels tired, the body weak;
we have no strength to smile.

There are days when
joy abundant
grabs a hold of you and me;
wraps us up in all it's splendor,
lifts us up and sets us free.

There are days when
sorrow wraps us
in its cloak of grief and fear,
'till our hearts ache to the breaking,
'till our eyes can't shed a tear.

There are days when
love bestows us
with its wonderment and light;
with its beauty and its mystery,
its power and its might.

There are days when
all I need is you
to be there to make me smile;
Just knowing that you comfort me
makes our friendship all worth while.

And there are days when
life rewards us
and seems to make amends
by granting us a marvelous gift,
the precious gift of Friends.

I want nothing more than to love you
Each and every single day,
For you to feel love in your life
In every possible way.

To greet you each morning, my love
With a kiss upon your lips,
To intensify your heart with passion
From the touch of my fingertips.

Fill your life with happiness for eternity
Never hurting, nor letting you down,
Always being the voice you will hear
Without even making a sound.

My eyes will always show to you
Things I may forget to say,
For the rest your life I promise you
You will feel love in every way.

My heart grows weary without you
For with you I want to be,
This longing deep inside my heart
Is the love I have for thee.

No other could ever touch it, my love
My heart is branded with your name,
If you will accept the love that I offer
This love will never change.

In A Dream
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
I saw you once in a dream,
Delicate, sweet face of innocense,
Drawing my heart to the palm of your hands....
Holding it there...
Mesmerized!

Sitting at your knee, staring into your eyes,
Magical webs you weave,
Taking me from my self-imposed solitude,
thrusting me into a rainbow's-journey....
Delightful!

Hours spent within your existence drift away,
Delicate, sweet face of innocense darkens in the fires glow,
Stillness cocoons us, entrapping us in thoughtfulness;
My heart in your hands, your eyes fill my soul..
Spellbound!

With the glow of the fire the night descends upon us
In this hour, this place becomes ours,
Together our souls blend deeply into one
To the precious, lasting moments, of US..
Picture perfect!

I saw you once in a dream, and I shall see you again.....

The Heart of Stone
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Away at a distance,
Everyday he sets alone,
Leaning up against
A heart that's made of stone.

He reads a book each day,
He often lays to rest,
Does he grieve the loss of love,
Or is life his only test?

Passing by one afternoon,
I turned to him and smiled,
His eyes were filled with sadness
As he spoke, “I'm ok my child.”

Was he feeling lonely,
Or was his heart full of fear
For what was all his heartache,
And why the saddened tears.

Today starts a new day,
The distance is all alone,
No one there to occupy
The heart that's  made of stone.

Did he find his happiness,
Is he at peace within his heart,
Are his sad eyes smiling now,
With his heartache, did he part?

For the books he read each day,
Were not just books you read,
They held photos and memories
of his life that he did grieve.

Now the distance is empty,
But his presence will never be gone,
For his life and his love remain in
The heart that's made of stone.

Each day he carried his memories
Never leaving them alone,
For they lay to rest inside
The heart that's made of stone.

Held Captive By Agony...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Weeping heart, tear bound eyes
Forsaken by the jester of love
Your wretched claws cutting my flesh
Pouring salt into the wounds for torture
So cold, so bitter, full of hatred
Why must thou want to hurt me
Used, abused, yet, in love all the while
Truth refused to be part of you
Why must you thrive on agony
Instead of desiring love as your own
It's desperate to feel your longing
Wanting to overfill you with its sweetness
If by chance agony could slip away
Just for a moment in time..
Love would take you prisoner
Giving you its sweetness divine
No more to suffer loneliness
For your heart would be fulfilled.

The Beast Within
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
He hunts for me, by night
My soul he longs to take
As my temptations are getting weaker
I fear, it's the taste of blood I crave.

The medication, I'm now immune
Before long I shall transform
For the beast that longs to steal my soul
Will be the beast, that I become.

As he hunts for me each night
My craving, is to steal his soul
For the smell of his blood leaves me thirsty
Driving me out of control.

His skin smells of sweetness
His blood is my cravings of the night
He moves closer to me, I lick him
His neck, irresistible, I bite.

The splatter of blood everywhere
Tearing flesh from bones
I crave the smell of death inside
                                   A death to most unknown.

After all the nights he hunted me
It was I, who stole his soul
Now, I'm nothing more than he
The Beast, that lost control.

GOD GAVE TO ME...
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
God gave to me, you.
He brought unto my life a ray of illumination,
Knowing that you could brighten my very existence,
Being that I needed nothing more than a noble friend.
One to escort me through complex situations,
To instruct me to keep my head raised high,
To smile in even the most strenuous contingency,
Most of all to just be my own authority.
You have taught me how to weather the storms,
How to turn heartless situations into honorable,
How to deliver smiles unto the saddest at heart,
How to love unconditionally with everything I have,
Strive to be the foremost of what God gave me,
Use my knowledge well, that is what guided you to me,
Always stand firm on the ground that my life, so firm, will rest.
God gave to me, you, because he knew I needed no other!

To Dream Of Ones Self
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
What beneath my feet doth hold
Thy body strong, and steady
When all the while I feel weak
Thy palms are warm and sweaty.
Feverish feeling all over my body
Clammy skin, to touch so cool
Skin as pale as the fairest of them all
Faint, and falling like a fool.
No more strong and steadiness
Lanky with eyes that droop
A body so frail and fragile now
Above thy life does beauty group.
Taking my hand, lifting me to my feet
Strength now rushes over me
Whence all the while it was dream
Allowing my heart and soul to see.
Hidden behind a closed door
My life seems as described above
Once the dream took over my mind
There was nothing more than love.
Waiting to capture my heart and soul
To refrain me from seeing anything less
Now I understand the meaning of ones self
Open your heart, for your life shall be blessed.

On This Day
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Beautiful white gown, flowing so fair,
Babies breath wrapped in my hair
Lovely flowers, I hold in my hands,
Awaiting the hour that we shall both stand
Vowing our love, underneath open sky,
As doves in flight pass us by
True love has met it's glorious day
Knowing that forever, it's here to stay
Feeling the air breath on our skin,
The sun, to our souls, sinking within
As we vow to each other to always be true
From this day forward, it's me and you
A chance to make a brand new start
With love to over flow each others hearts
Before you, I stand, to walk down the isle
My true love awaits, with a gorgeous smile
My heart is singing from deep within,
For this is the moment our life will begin
My journey starts, towards my love so true
Tears fill my eyes, each step closer to you
On this day, my dream has come true
To marry a man as wonderful as you
Now together we stand, side by side
We say our vows with honor and pride
To have your name, now as my own
We kiss with passion, our love is shown
Down the isle, now as one
Our lifelong journey has just begun.
Beautiful day, wondrous start
We are now the owners of one big heart
To envision a love, so perfect and true
This is my dream for when I marry you.

My Daddy
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Days on the beach with our feet in the sand
The sun on our face, walking hand in hand.
The waves gently flowing up to the shore
These are the memories that daddies are for.

Sleeping peacefully, as you rock in your chair
Your breath softly sweeping through my long hair.
My thumb in my mouth, a smile on your face
I could never imagine being any other place.

There were days when we'd mingle out in the shop
Two very wise carpenters just doing their jobs.
I'd watch, as you worked, just building away
Following in your shadow  without a word to say.

You'd even take me hunting when ever you would go
Although this little mouth was quite the talking pro.
I may have scared the deer away more times than few
But it didn't seem to matter because I always went with you.

Days spent with daddy were diamonds and gold
In this little girls' heart she will always hold.
Now many miles between us, time is made few
I wish for one more day to walk hand in hand with you.

The times we use to share are branded in my heart
Memories lie deep within, they shall never part.
I keep them alive with thoughts everyday
Of my wonderful daddy in his own special way.

Farewell.....
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
Your arms stretch to a distance
that I feel no more
My heart is withered of your presence
My eyes burn beneath your reflection

Skin, so soft and gentle to touch
scaled like a lizard from your lies
Deceit from the mouth of satan
Heat exhausting my soul

Release me from your evil grip
Set my soul free, for a life of beauty
With you I shall become frail and measly
Unlike now, where I'm strong and free

Allow me to soar to higher demands
You are not entitled to an opinion
nor a say in the matter
For selfishness reigns your poor existence

Farewell to the nightmare from hell
Become a non-existing nothing
From the likes of your beliefs
You'll become the dirt beneath my feet

Farewell...waste of time!!

Look At Me
Candy Glidden Jul 2010
"Excuse me young lady,"
I heard a voice say,
"Tell me what you see
When you look at me today?"

I said, "I see an old man,
Withered to the bone,
Walking down the street,
You seem so all alone.

A cane in your hand
Hearing aide in your ear,
Wrinkles upon your face,
Some whiskers to make a beard.

Your back is hunched over,
Your socks don't even match,
You had  a bottle filled with water
In which the lid you didn't latch.

Now, I'll mention the wet pants,
The huge glasses upon your face,
It seems to me as tho you can't see,
and why you move in a turtle like pace."

The old man looked very sad
At all the things that I had said,
At that very moment in time,
I knew my comments I would dread.

The old man turned to me,
And without a single thought,
The words he spoke I'll never forget,
"You see me for what I am not."

My old heart still beats strong,
My legs go where I chose to tread,
Tho my eyes are not as good as
The eyes that I once had

My ears may need a little help,
Tho I can hear what people say,
May you remember what you thought of me
When you ask someone, someday.

We all grow old, in time we do,
Yet somehow, we remain the same.
The person who lives inside this soul
Has never really changed.

Someday you may ask someone what they see,
"An old woman," is what they might say,
But in your heart that won't be true,
Then you'll turn the other way.

Tears will fall at your sadness,
For who you are, they cannot see,
You may be old and a little worn,
Or even lonely you may seem to be.

Your back may hunch way over,
Glasses could rest upon your face,
Which may even be the reason for
Your slow and creeping pace.

Now, look at me young lady
Tell me what you see in me today,
I turned while crying and said to him,
"I see what God has made."

With his head hanging low,
I could see the teardrops fall,
He said in a silent voice to me,
"Thank you for seeing it all."
