I am a knight and my armor is loneliness,
I am a killer and my knife is my own pain,
I am a princess and my gown is my web of lies,
I am an angel with clipped wings unabled to fly,
I don't know why I am this way,
I don't know if I'll ever change,
All I know is I'll stay alone,
In my padded room of hate
I'm alone,
Not in body yet in mind and soul,
Its hard to go on,
Knowing my future will end up like their past,
Yet somehow I do,
Their future is dark,
No light shining in,
Mine is dark yet I can still see the sun,
You can't help me now,
Its cute how you try,
I smile a fake smile,
Grin a fake grin,
I'm sorry for this,
I really am,
I tried my best but its time to go,
I love you my little rainbow
Why am I here,
In this strange world,
Am I gonna be some stupdifiying,
Look at her flying,
Talented kind of girl,
Or stay a joke,
Waiting on some invisibility cloak,
To hide me from the population,
I may be awkward,
A weird teen freak,
But I'm in no way weak,
I can fight the power,
Stay in school for all eight hours,
I become a singer in the shower,
An angel when I wanna be,
And a demon when you mess with me,
I don't know why I'm here,
Where I'm going,
Or when I'll be done,
But I for one,
Know that I'm going somewhere,
Why am I here,
To be some social experiment,
A test on lonely temperament,
A new look on innocence,
Or maybe a lost cause,
A thing filled with flaws,
Like a crowd going "awe",
Its all pretend,
We're all gone in the end,
Even those strong men,
Who worked to get us where we are,
Fights for freedom,
Equality,
And respect,
Disappearing,
Because of this "teasing",
Pages burn like my soul,
History erases,
In the end,
I gotta get around this bend,
In my life's road,
We all have to learn to be bold,
Stand up for the old,
And the new,
Don't try to be so cold,
I still don't know why I'm here,
And like always I'm filled with fears,
Like always my eyes fill with tears,
Think of them,
I gotta put them to rest,
Find out how to be the best,
I can be,
Its time for them to see,
Everybody holds the key,
To unlock the chains of society,
To release somebody of their pain,
That's what you have to gain,
Don't be so vain,
By acting this way,
Say what you have to say,
Scream it out today,
Why am I here,
To improve,
To learn,
To listen,
Or maybe to feel the glisten of someone's tears on my shoulder,
I don't know how to move the boulder,
Of doubt,
But I can go without,
My answer until I learn,
I guess my answer's something I'll have to earn
This poem is something I wrote about a year ago when I felt like everybody was turning against me until they needed something.
