Two people linked by common thoughts
Are links within a chain
They run throughout the universe
With thoughts they cannot tame

Where they end they begin
And where they begin they end
Two roads shall meet
Where a sign shall read
"Here they became friends".

I walk through the mist
Moon casting peculiar shadows
Headstones tall and thin
Branches leave ghastly images
Among the dirt,the mist and leaves

Heavy heartedly I proceed
I never like this walk
It's here just past the trees
I walk upon them,and fall upon my knees

I often wonder ,what could be different
If you didn't have to go
Where would we be now
You never let me know

I'm still angry at you, even now
Or am I just suffering
From a long since broken heart
I don't know what I feel
I only know it still hurts

I love you
I'll see you again tomorrow.

The fields of gold
Sway in the breeze
Forests of green
Inhabited by fairies

The woodland creatures bow
Before the fairies and the trees
Who always did provide
The food,the way,the means

All did bow in homage
To the ones who rode the breeze
Fire breathing flyers
Did never burn their trees

Ominous full of mystery
These giants who fire did they breathe
Were once as plentiful as the trees
Now only do they live on
In history and in dreams

We run through this realm
My lover and me
Time cannot touch us
We'll forever be free

My mind is swirling
These thoughts aren't mine
Where did they come from
When did I cross this line

Aloneness rattles
Like an old rusty cage
When did I lose everything
Who turned that page

Life like a book
Is full of new chapters
Some full of sadness
Some full of laughter

This new chapter open
The old chapter closed
I'm lost in this moment
The clock hands have froze

I'm in control
Of my own destiny
The anchor chains broken
Going forward through the sea.

My senses reeling
I do not know What to do
Still in love with you

Oh master of chemistry
What wonders you devise
Some make us happy
Some save our lives

Sterile lab coat
In a white sterile cell
You toil all hours
To create the newest pill

We never acknowledge
Your struggle and strife
For the chemical wonders
That are part of our life.

The sun did not shine
The wind surely did blow hard
The trees sway and snap

Soft rain falling down
New plants sprouting all around
Green lush countryside

Things not going well now
I'm ready to crack
Satan himself
Laughs at my back

Waiting and hoping
The pressure will take
I'll say something awful
Like God is a fake

That's how he gets started
How he gets in
Turns you against God
And welcomes you in

I'm not that foolish
Sometimes I'm bothered
But he'll never deny me
The love of my Father

Useless babble
Thrown forth from a drunk
Reminds me of a child
Playing with bubbles in a tub

You can't understand them
You laugh and you think
One's just a baby
But the other
How much did he drink?

Alas I've found another Muse
She knows not yet
But still it's true

For from inside
Inspiration again flows
Until that time
Like the rest she shall go

A cougar from the mountain came
On padded paw she stalked her prey
When he came within striking distance
All was over in an instant

I walked through a town
That I once knew
Walked not drove
And that's how I knew

All along the side of the road
Bottles and cans strewn all around
Flattened cigarette packs,
General ******* and such
Stark reminders
Of those down on their luck

We drive past such things
Each and every day
We don't blink an eye
Nor do we say

Maybe that fellow
Could use a lift
It's pedal to the metal
And around all lifes corners

We drift.

Back to the happiness
My little pills bring
My heart was a'flutter
And now does it sting

Some things in life
Are just not meant to be
What will happen next
I'll have to wait and see

We started out nothing
And as nothing we shall end

Sometimes
I feel a fool
Things not  what they seem

My mind ebbs and flows
Like the perpetual tide
Sometimes towards darkness
Sometimes towards light

Where it lies now
That I don't know
maybe I will
with the dawn of tomorrow.

I must confess
As I undress
The sins I carry
I cannot bury

They haunt in the night
And even in the light
They follow close
But never are they seen

Save for me in my nightmares
And every time between

Will they ever leave me
There's only one who can say
I'm hopeful To meet him
On my last day

Adventurous spirit I still have inside
Though through these bars
no mountains left to climb

No thrill of the hunt
No shade under trees
On a vast arid desert
Like when I was free

Alone in my cage
Though the bars they are rusting
Maybe someday
though I'm no longer trusting.

Each time you run out
It gets harder to wait
Then you get more
And more you will take

One of these days
You'll have waited too long
You'll take way too many
And soon will be gone.

I write for her
Though I don't think she knows
My heart like my words
To her I hope they'll flow.

I see so much sadness
I know I'm not alone
So,So much pain
Rivers of it flow

I understand the reasons
Wish to help them all
How would that be possible
When I still trip and fall

Hope keeps showing itself
Only glimpses at a time
There's one who keeps me moving
She moves me all the time

Someday seems so distant
Like a mountain looming far
But someday keeps me going
Though sometimes it gets hard.

My mind wanders through space and time
Hallucinations fill my mind
I see your face
But know it's not real
I cannot help this it's how I feel

I miss you so
Though met we have not
Maybe the next life
We'll get our shot

Why is it the ones you love most
Hurt you the worst
They know just what to say
Or even what look to give

You never see it coming
You'd think by now you'd know
See the signs ahead of time
And just turn around and go

Every time blindsided
It tears a piece of heart
Every time is next time
You've said that from the start

If you leave you're the ****
If you stay it's so much work
Why can't it just change

It seems in this life
There's just struggle and strife
Happiness is fleeting
And only once in a while

Hope keeps most going
But can take us so far
Truth then takes hold
And call your cards

You show your hand of Hope
But it won't beat a straight
Not even two pair
You've got aces and eights

I don't feel like writing
But this thought I'll leave with you
Always try to let the words out
Even when your blue

I've never known fear
Though I'm feeling it now
Unsure of my future
Feelings abound

How to proceed
I am at a loss
My compass is spinning
No land have I crossed

Fear a new feeling
To add to my list
I'm not sure I like it
I'll have to fight through this

My chemical happiness
Can't help me now
It's my heart that now ails me
Not sure I can fix this,I don't know how.

Delusions of happiness
Run through my head
I try to decipher
The cryptic messages

My mind tells me one thing
My heart says another
Which shall I follow
Is there another

Time they say heals all wounds
I say it creates them
I wish it would stop
Time for awhile

I need to get my bearings
Without them I'm lost
Adrift on a sea
From sunshine to frost

Extreme to extereme
How I wish she would say it

I lust for adventure
For romance anew

Fortune rewards the bold they say
Though bold I am not
Maybe that's why I'm here

The fog rolling in
Thanks to the little yellow pills
An insomniacs coffee

Some not so good

Now dreams are quite near now
So I must say goodnight
I'll write in the morning
When the sun starts to rise.

Sitting in the cafe, you turn your head
Glancing in her direction
You've seen her before
Tonight you'll say hello

Now the nerves start
Your mouth dries up
You couldn't talk if you wanted
Knees are weak

Now's the time

You turn back towards her

She's gone.

My muse has returned
Inspiration renewed
I'll keep the words flowing
All because of you

Darkness approaching
Sun has now set
Fatigue taking over
Time now for bed.

My muse no longer visits me
I know not where she's gone
No words now swirling in my brain
I cannot take this for long

Please come and visit again
Your presence brings me peace
Without you I shall struggle
My brain unleashed a beast

I write or rather scribble
My words all skewed and trash
Until you return to me,
Writing,this is the last.

Two doves are cooing
On a branch at my window
Wonderful songs sung

All around me hopelessness
I try to climb out
It tries to pull me back down

Struggle,struggle pull pull
Almost out
I can see the light above

Almost out,CRASH!
Pulled back down
I start to think
What's the point
Why keep trying


The darkness overtakes me
It has won
I'm done trying

I see beauty in a sunrise
Hear music in the breeze
You only get so many
So treasure all of these

When my time here is ended
I know that I will miss
The beauty in each sunrise
And the music on the wind

I hope before I leave here
The words that pass my lips
Are I'm so glad I lived this long
To witness all of this

Moonless
Starless
Dreams now take flight

I dream of tomorrow
And of days long since past
I sit in the dark
Alone here at last

I once wanted peace
And quiet within
Now I know loneliness
And quiet within

I want sunlight
And warmth from another
Chaos and laughter
I want my true lover

People call him crazy
I guess maybe it's true
"When it comes to war,
You do what you have to do"

The faces never leave him
When he's alone and in the dark
The lives that he has taken
Leaves a scar upon his heart

"Why?how could you ****"
The people all would say
He'd give a half-hearted chuckle
And turn and walk away

He did it not for medals
For money or for spite
He did it so the rest of us
Wouldn't have to fight.

Starting to get tipsy
A bakers dozen down
The pain,I still can feel it
"Another drink please now"

Pain is now subsiding
Numbness in my brain
I wish I could melt where I stand
And go straight down the drain

No pain, no thoughts, no anything
No yearning to go on
I feel the tug of sleep now
I'm going to lie down

And dream of pleasant mornings
With the hope of coming dawn
I' ll do it again tomorrow
Until I can't go on

A caged tiger am I
My running days through
My eyes are now lifeless
My soul has died too

The fight gone from my spirit
I slumber through life
I peer through the bars
When I wake in the night

The time has come
Should I lie down and die?
Or should I keep surviving
As the days pass me by

Of one thing I am certain
One thing I know is true
One day these bars on my cage will rust
And I will slip right through.

Rising from the gates of Hell
The ancient angel Gabriel
He who first locked up the beast
To give the world its time of peace

Now the angel once again
Had the keys in his hands
To loose the beast upon the world
His time has come, his flag unfurled

A thousand years has been given he
By the one who made the keys
But when his reign is finally through
Back through the gates of Hell to his doom

He cannot win and this he knows
His aim to take as many souls
With him when he goes back to Hell
The most beautiful angel, before he fell.

Saturday morning
and my love has gone
From my bed she left
with the approach of dawn

The sunrise bittersweet

beauty for the eyes
lonely for my heart
Will my love come back
I knew not from the start

Only time will tell.
