She has her secret magic
to keep men's hopes alive
she's truly fantastic
the girl the woman the wife

On earth the heavenly flower
in color's riot blooming wild
south wind and summer's shower
god's face is she girl child

The morning though passes to noon
times in her wings fly
she's a woman too soon
the woman of my eye

The woman of all weather
without her man is woe-man
she's wife sister mother
the way only a woman can

She fathoms what men don't tire
see her heart burned and holed
till she walks the whole length of fire
and be the woman in their eye old

You stand behind the words,
Behind the storm that I bring,
Behind pain, and sorrow that u sometimes feel,
they don't see...

You make camp behind the Sun
You burn as it shines,
but they dont see,
you give it all up,
Just for me.

You leave the comfort and step out in the rain,
They don't see,
when you're all dressed up but still come to get wet for me,
They don't see,
you walk along,
when my feet are treading upon hot coal,
and they don't see,

How you love me.

You dive in rivers head first,
they dont see,
You climb deadly mountains for me
Sometimes I also dont see it

How much you love me.

But you love me

We dont see,
You know it,
But you still love me.

You still love me.

My heart sings in gratitude,
My bones are humbled,
I want to wrap you in melody of the affection I have for you,
at my worst,
in the darkness,
on sunny days below summer skies,
when you still love me...

You still love me

I don't want to go back,
I don't want to turn around,
go on picking up every tear I left on the road,
collect on every good moment
that we shared,
gather together the nights we laid broken
those nights that we at least had each other,
search for those still remembered suns
that shone upon us,
those a thousand marble furnaces that
woke up with the opening of your eyelids;
each morning.

I don't want to recollect,
I don't want to remember,
I don't want to reminisce on where love took us.

The lovely seas we sailed on,
the magic shells we spotted on the beach,
the gardens you likened me to,
when you said I was far more prettier,
than those well arrayed flowers.

We are here,
In the now,
You found me in shackles and you brought me free,
you held me in your arms,
you wrapped me,
you put your lips on mine,
moons later,
and I was complete.
And you gave me this.

Here and now.

I don't wanna go back,
I don't want to have any regrets,
I don't want to ask questions
of where I stumbled
and forgot to pick us up both nicely,

I want to stay here,
I want to stay here and be yours.

Every second yesterday was beautiful,
today is indeed beautiful,
but
Tomorrow is the only place I want to go,
the only place I want to go
with you.

I always had a struggle when it comes to remembering,
The things that I misplaced,
And the places I've once been,

Memories are so treacherous, vile and repulsive little things,

One moment you're lost in a carnival of delight,
Swinging by the moon and all the stars at your site,

Next it takes you somewhere you don't want to be,
Some place dark and cruel filled with damp ans ambiguous shapeless things you'd rather unsee,

Memories can be harsh and dangerous pieces of our beings,

But can we live without them?
They are what our reason is based on,
In the lives that we lead they serve as a chain,
They are the reason we know right from wrong,
Love from hate,
And good from evil,

Denying them,
Is denying reason itself.

Although..
What's so wrong with that really??
Its not like they are diamonds on the edge of our feet,
Its not like we are contractionally tied down to rationality,

We can still live the life less worried if we recant sanity,
Take an exit to our unpleasantries,
Ought to a haven of ultimate reality,

So when you find yourself locked in,
On a train,
Heading to a place in your past where screaming is unavoidable,
Remember this.....

There is a pill of freedom,
A place of peace,
The welcoming kingdom,
A cup of relief,
And I call it insanity

If you'd been here
When I was young,
You'd not forget
What we'd have done.

We'd climb roofs,
Jump in the river,
****** neighbour's pears,
Then skedaddle,
Laughing with sweat-matted hair,
Wiping off those grown-up cares.

We'd bumper-jump in four inch snow,
And never let our parents know.
Oh, such fun we two would do,
If I could stay as young as you.

We'd skate and bike,
Play street ball,
Act up in school,
Stand in the hall;
We'd hike with jars
Along country brooks,
Read and trade
Our comic books.
Lie in the sand,
Burn in the sun,
Forgetting it was time for home.
We'd never tire of our treats,
And often we'd forget to eat
Because we're having all our fun:
If you'd been here when I was young.

We'd play Tag and Red Rover,
Flags and Chase,
Then have sleep-overs.
We'd swap tomorrow
For daily pearls,
Then swap each other
For pretty girls.

We'd be up to our shenanigans,
Sleep the sleep,
Then start again.
This is the way
We'd have our fun,
If you'd been here
When I was young.

But now you're here,
And I'm much older,
The things we'd do
You'll do with others;
But when you need a  boost to climb,
This old man has a shoulder.
Yes,
I'll sure have lots of fun,
For you're here now.
That keeps me young.
For my new Grandson, Xavier (b. July 23rd.)
