Two Words

Two words, Good Morning
Can help to start a day
Two words, Thank You
Can make it all okay
Two words, Miss You
Can calm a lonely heart
Two words, I Know
Can give a fresh new start
Two words, I Care
Can heal the hurt inside
Two words, I'm Sorry
Can start a brand new life
Two words, Love You
Can make the world right
Two Words
Just A Simple Thank You

I want to thank each one of you
For reading all my rhymes
I have 10,000 readers
In only 6 months time

I appreciate all your words
And the kindness of your hearts
The sharing of this passion
That some would call an art

I remember not to long ago
I would throw these words away
Thinking that this passion
Was somehow just a faze

I want to give a special thanks
To those who friended me
You helped me tell my stories
And you share this love with me

Carl Joseph Roberts

I wanted to just take a moment to thank you all.
Your kindness has allowed me to share my heartache.
Your words of encouragement helped heal my heart.
Your poems inspired me to keep writing and posting.
Many of your poems touched my inner soul.
You helped me laugh, cry, and feel sorrow.
You encouraged me to push forward in my writtings
Your words and poems have inspired.
I know that we may never meet in person
There is however a bonding friendships that will last.
Thank you for reading my poems
I hope to have 10,000 more reads in the next 6 months.
If however I only touch but one then this is worth it.
A simple thank you my friends and fellow poets. ...Joe
Please Read over my work and honestly tell me what one touched you, made you think, laugh, cry or be happy.

I have had technical difficulties, please stand by.
If I missed any ones comments, I could cry.
I love hearing each and every one of your thoughts,
But I had not checked my e-mail in weeks, there were lots.

After trying to read them all in one day.
My mind was a mess, it was severely frayed.
So again if I missed you I am terribly sorry,
But after seven hundred e-mails, my eyes were starry.
One day
It broke
We stopped caring
about spiders and their webs
dust in corners
scattered toys on the lawn
and neigbours judging
We stopped

But then it began
the construction of new paths
new connections
outside us
morally deranged but marvellous
in their metaphors

And then the fights started
discovery of deceit
the heartbreak
and the revellations
revealing devils and demons
and dark desires

Gradually
It healed
We began to love
not sweet, innocent, postcard love
no! mad, ******, nasty love
a yelling, crying, caring love
not taking anything for granted love
We healed

I met a man

Who lived a light year away from his heart
Said he'd like to one day visit
But the distance was much to far

I met a man

Who from his heart lived a block away
And although he lived so close
He never gave it the time of day

I met a man

Whose heart beat deep down inside his chest
Where he took his heart for granted
Till it became a ****** mess

I met a man

Who wore his heart out on his sleeve
When it comes to where your heart belongs
This is where every heart should beat

Lazar lights green and white,
thirty thousand people standing in the night.
******* held in the air,
Surf the pit if you dare.

Getting high on the wind,
with your new stranger friends.
Heads up and down, with the beat,
let go of your inner freak.

Go to bed with the sun,
It's never to late for some fun.
Sleep by day, play by night.
Play until the morning light.

Three days in a farmers field,
Three days you can get your thrills.
Sing along, it's your favorite song,
To soon the bands will all be gone.

The girl is a puzzle piece

She never seems to fit
If it were up to me alone
Long ago, would have called it quits

The girl is a puzzle piece

Her picture's on the box's front
The beauty that is held within
That's the girl I want

The girl is a puzzle piece

Her edges torn and tattered
By a world of cruelty
On life's floor she has been scattered

The girl is a puzzle piece

I can't help but keep on trying
For that perfect fit
Because this puzzle's mine
Well,  I promised somebody to write
About air so I thought that I might
Try to write with a beat
Maybe shake off this heat
Flapping beats in the air I take flight

I use heatwaves as lifts to the sky
Upon gentle warm winds I fly high
I don't need any wings
Don't need any helpful things
I get upwinds from you when you sigh
