Lacking intent like a rock lying,
On a beach getting weathered to sand,
Slowly witnessing my own demise.

Like many others there was a child,
From a well of infinite dreams with others he picked some,
In the wake of unbound imagination,
He was a champion of his world,
He saw the skies as his playground,
His nascent mind held no limitations.
Growing older he was taught of the world,
Of what he could do, what man could not,
He learnt of gravity, how it made things fall,
The weight of the knowledge bore him down,
Plucking him from the skies, rooting him to the ground.
With a few broken hearts, failures to be someone,
Stranded in his reality, he looked to the clouds,
Questioning his learning, he began to unlearn,
Becoming from man to child again,
Gaining new perspective on his notions,
Gravity he saw, was not to hold him down,
But to hold the universe together,
Something he could overcome.
Reaching the skies he built his house,
Teasing the heavens, yet rising from the ground,
A monument to remembering who he is,
To never again be someone else.
I know this is very haphazard, but I just couldn't find the right composition... Hope you can still get the idea of what I wished to convey. Maybe some day I will rewrite this to better words.

There is an uncertainty that resides within,
Where meaning should be,
Forehead weighed down by a frown,
Where bliss should be,
A dampened spirit lies in wake,
Where belief should be,
Escaping the world,
The world where I should be,
Looking away from what is,
Looking for where I would like to be,
There is ignorance at purpose,
Where doing should be,
There is a Depression,
Where life should be.

A good day has been long since had,
There was no dark cloud in the sky,
Or something such, but the absence of one.
With the lack of rain and something more,
Passed day after day with habitual motion,
There was no cloud, there was nothing wrong.
The everyday was so uninspired,
We begged for rain so that we might again,
After the gloom appreciate the sun.
But we denied ourselves contentment,
Because we discovered something beyond the sky,
Then in passing we sought each other,
Hoping to share something more,
Like how we were happy with the sky,
Then the rains, then back to the sky,
With the lack of we learned to appreciate pain.
With the chaos of unplanned fun,
We called it a good day again.
I don't know how well it makes sense, I hoped to convey how it took some trouble to appreciate my strengths sometimes, how many see it as a flaw yet I appreciate the madness.

Given a life to ****,
I know I killed mine,
It was with you I became,
Without you I came undone.

That old life of ours has come to pass,
You have already been reborn,
I have learned to live without you,
Still, the memory of how you made me feel stays.
I cannot explain why I love you more than my life.

From the time I fell for you,
I knew to me you meant something more,
Like your every little thing I've come to adore,
By my side, you are a strength I lack alone,
Having known your grace,
Without you is all but an existence.
Of late I realise I tend to live in an illusion,
Like how I put you on a pedestal,
When all you wanted was to be by my side,
I regret to think I was wrong about being right,
I do keep hurting you, don't I?
This sparse acknowledgement you make of my existence,
Will always remind me to look before I fall again.
I let love break a friendship stronger than it. Wish I hadn't.

Thanks for the smiles,
Thanks for the laughs,
Thanks for the gifts,
Thanks for the special moments,
Thanks for the sorrows, I’m sorry for the ones I gave,
Thanks for the help,
Thanks for teaching me all I know,
Thanks for pushing me so I could get here,
Thanks for being my world,
Thanks for the memories,
I hope to cherish them in the afterlife,
Thanks for making my life precious, worth living,
Goodbye till I see you next time,
I hope to see you some day in another life.
