Andie Lee Nov 5
Just as the withered leaves
Fall from blighted branches
So does the joy
Dissipate from my wretched heart
As I stand here and watch
Hope disappear before my very eyes
Like ghosts in the sun
And like tears in the rain
No one noticed
©️ Andie Lee 2024
As rain streaks down the window pane,
I find myself dissociating again.
All the world is colored gray,
My body feels numb and cold.

Thoughts drift like clouds
Through the silent night.
Lost whispers fading from sight.
Yet in the dark, a flicker.
A reminder that hope can, eventually, emerge.
