suicide

there’s all the people that say “i’m suicidal”

but it’s only a select few that have been kneeling, crying in the bathroom with a knife in a pool of blood.

i have friends that say they are depressed and suicidal as a joke. it’s not a joke and people need to realize that. it’s not funny when you were crying in the bathroom last night. when you wear long sleeves in summer to hide the scars of your pain.

isn’t it reassuring that a game we play as kids
can teach you that by saying the wrong thing
you can end someone’s life.

i just thought about this and wondered why it’s even a thing. it shouldn’t be.

I Don’t Understand

I don’t understand:
why we are prejudged
why we get nudged out of the way like we’re not important
why we don’t budge because we’re scared...

I don’t understand:
why prejudice has taken over
why the lord sometimes comes second
why we get stampeded by bad people taking over...

I don’t understand:
why were here
why our lives have taken us this way
or how magicians disappear...

But what I do understand is:
God comes first
Family comes second
And lives go unrehearsed.
