"Nothing will ever come between us", you said,
now there is something playing in your head.
I know he's just an old boyfriend from school,
but don't you see I look like a fool?

This is the last straw, the last drop of wine,
you'll have to tell him yourself my friend.
I am fresh out of understanding,
and don't say that I am too demanding.
We are to long together to start playing games
let's not watch this go up in flames.

Can't you see you are living your past,
trying to hold on to what you can't grasp?
I am sorry, he can't spend the night.
No, I am not trying to start a fight.

I'm sure he's got someone else to *****.
Someone, somewhere that he can do.
Did you tell him that we're a pair,
it appears he doesn't seem to care?
We are to long together to start playing games,
let's not watch this go up in flames.

Walls are thin I can hear what you say,
I think it's time he went on his way.
It's been like I am not even there,
What do you mean I'm not being fair?

There he sits with my scotch in his hand.
Is that his bike in the drive, who does he think he is?
I see his eyes follow you,
watching every curve like I use to do.
We are to long together to start playing games,
let's not watch this go up in flames.

Why did you let the Letterman in,
with his motorcycle helmet and all his leather garb?
Tattoos and earrings are scaring me half to death,
this is the suburbs you know?

*A peek at an otherwise happily married fictitious couple named Bob and Mary....... And there surly visitor Steve, the Letterman.

Jasper words pour from his lips,
in contrapuntal time.
They shuffle just behind the beat,
they strain to make their rhyme.

Sweat drips on his old guitar,
strings bend and cry and sing.
Hear the Blues Man on his throne,
he makes his guitar ring.

Air thick with smoke and rhythm,
like some ancient ritual dance.
Mesmerizing, hypnotizing
he puts you in a trance.

Weaving tones and chicken bones,
with cheap flat lukewarm beer.
There's no place you would rather be,
than with the Blues Man in your ear.

To take bad juju off his strings,
he'll use the John the conqueror root.
He ain't got a *** to **** in,
But he's got a blue silk suit.

His shoe keeps time, heel to toe,
with a whiskey voice he croons.
Harp in its rack, he wails away,
a Little Walter tune.

With gospel affectations,
he preaches to his throng.
"I saw her kissin' Willie last night,
she went and done me wrong".

"I'm gonna take the next thang smokin'
out of this here town".
Then he slides a bottle across the strings,
and it makes a mournful sound.

You forget about your troubles
when you get what he's layin' down.
He'll take you to the other side,
when the BluesMan comes to town.

Every girl deserves to be reminded of how beautiful they are.
Every girl deserves be told they are loved.
Every girl deserves to know that someone is always there for them.
Every girl deserves support.
Every girl deserves someone to talk to in the middle of the night.
Every girl deserves to know how amazing they are.
Every girl deserves someone that makes them happy.
Every girl deserves a shoulder to cry on.
Every girl deserves to be treated like a lady.
Every girl deserves to know how special they are.
Every girl deserves to have fun.
Every girl deserves to be happy.
Every girl deserves to be told that they are perfect.
Every girl deserves to be loved.

But sadly,
Not every girl has that.
Most girls sit alone in their rooms at night,
And cry.
Because no one is really there for them.
No one reminds them of their assets.
No one sees their beauty
People take advantage of them.
And when those girls look in the mirror,
All they see is their flaws and imperfections.
They look at themselves in the reflection,
And hate what they see.
They cry for what seems like forever.
Then wish that they were someone else.
Someone prettier,
Someone better,
Someone happier,
Someone skinnier,
Someone richer,
Someone with a better life than their own.

But they don't see their strengths.
And most of the time,
They never will.
Girls only see their ugliness,
And that's always what they will see.
Society has formed an image of women.
You have to look like models and celebrities,
Or else you're considered ugly.
You have to have a perfect body,
Or else you're considered fat.
But all a girl really needs is someone to tell them they are beautiful the way they are.
They may never actually believe it,
But at least they know that you think that,
And it makes them start to transform their vision of themselves,
Into what they actually are,
Which is a beautiful girl who is perfect in every single way.

Lover of Words
I'm lost,
Some time ago I lost my way,
To tv and friends and video games,
And now I lay here on my bed confused as ever and broken,
I missing the world I once held dear,
So busy have I let everything become,
Who am I and what have I done,
I'm a lost broken girl trying to overcome my own brokenness,
With my own selfishness,
And lately it hasn't been working,
I feel like a absolute failure,
I've lost my soul to this world,
this crummy god forsaken earth,
That taunts and toils away with pain and agony,
One where people get mixed up with drugs to make them feel nothing
And I feel everything,

This account isn't made for you
All these poems aren't about you
The one I like is of course not you
The one I love couldn't be you

In my head you're erased
In my heart you have no place
I don't remember our kisses' taste
I forgot about our sweet embrace

You don't love me anymore, I could only care less
I will never wear that **** blue dress
Remember the day I said 'to you, I'd still say yes'
Forget it 'cause I am a big mess.

Mistakes
 Jun 2013 hello
Kitty Prr
Mistakes were made.
Getting involved with you was a mistake,
Falling for you was a mistake.
Choosing not to see you again because it's wrong was a mistake,
And starting to see you again is a mistake.

Ahh sweet mistakes.
The imperfections that make life so beautiful.
I will gladly make mistakes with you.
My intellect shouts 'this can only end badly'
I don't care.
Each moment with you is beautiful,
I choose to experience every one to the full.

Tomorrow can look after itself.
Today, my sweet mistake, I am yours.

Too many nights
were never enough
With only the stars
to call my bluff;
Making constellations
from the freckles on my face,
Waiting for the mirror
to deem me a disgrace;
Summer nights
warm and full,
Spent wishing,
waiting for the pull
From you
that never came
I learned the rules
to your stupid game;
The one that you weren't playing.

I'm used to playing alone.
