Action speaks louder than words
We are so quick
To put something off
Not truly dealing with
The heart of the issue

Sometimes I wonder
About the state of things
It is my opinion
That no one
Should ever
Have to worry
About sitting out
In the cold
Sitting out in the rain
Sitting without food
Without a name
Without a voice
Living from day to day
Not knowing when
Their next meal will come
When there is more than enough
For people to have
There are more than enough homes
That are sitting
That are not being used
There is more than enough clothes
There is more than enough food
There is more than enough space
There is more than to give every one a share
If we just gave what we had
Instead of hoarding it
We spend so much time
Trying to separate ourselves
From the people
From the pain of the world
People are crying out
They are crying out for justice
People want to be free
Free to dream without persecution
To feel like their lives actually mean something
To not have to want
To not have to worry
To be able to live in abundance
Sharing and giving ourselves
And living in harmony
And communion
With each other
And with the Earth

Always and forever
Forever and a day
I want this feeling to stay
This feeling of hope
This feeling of anticipation
This feeling of peace
Feeling the present
The future
And the past
Converging into one moment
Converging into who I am now
Converging
Always and forever
Forever and a day

I want people to know
That happiness
Is only a smile away
Putting away your fears
And learning to smile
Filling your heart with peace
Filling your heart with joy
And learning to love
In creative ways

I love seeing
People happy
People laughing
People singing
People dancing
Full of life
Full of light
Expressing themselves with love
Sharing their gifts and themselves
With every one around them
There are a lot of people
Who have forgotten their voices
Who have forgotten how to truly sing
Who have forgotten how to dance
Who have forgotten how to be joyful
To share themselves with love
So it does my heart good
To see people who have that light inside
And don't mind sharing it
With everyone else around them

Beauty abounds
Even in something
As simple as a snowflake
In something as simple
As a child's smile
Life is beautiful
It's the small things
A flower just budding
Opening up to the sun
A bird
Floating free on a breeze
The warmth of the sun
The breeze in the trees
That quiet voice
That let's you know
That everything will be o.k.
Beauty abounds
In the smallest of places
You just have to know
Where to look

We are living in a time of crisis
We are living in a time of confusion
We are living on the brink of disaster
Times are changing
The world is being reshaped
As we speak
But there is always hope
There is still a new dawn

A little tired
A little worn
A little trial
A little worry
A little peace
A little joy
A little happiness
A little bit of sunshine
Can go along way
When you are feeling
A little tired

The breathe of creation
Is all around us
Its in every moment
Every molecule
Everything that
Has ever happened
Is still here
Just in another form
Breathing life
And creating
The wonderful chaos
That is life

I think we could all use a little extra peace
A little bit of extra hope
A little bit of extra kindness
At times in our lives
When it seems
Like everyone is turning their back
Sometime all we want
Is for someone
To give us that smile
Reach out to us a little more
Going out there way
To make sure we are o.k
Giving a little extra
Of themselves
Sometimes it can seem
Like life can turn its back
Sometimes it can feel like we are lost
Without a paddle
Without a light
But it's usually during those times
That someone does reach out
When you start to realize
That you have been
Reached out for
All along

I had always wondered
About airplanes
Even when I was
A little kid
I used to wonder
How they actually
Stayed up in the air
Even though I knew
All the different principles
And the science
And the physics
That went into keeping them up
I am still amazed
That they actually stay up

People surprise me
I can't help but
Get a little bewildered
When I think of some
Of the things that people do
We would all be a little better off
If people started acting
With a little more sense
Because I can feel like
I am going crazy
Trying to figure people out

Sometimes
Its those little
Whole in the wall places
That can really take you
By surprise
Sometimes
Its life's little surprises
That can take us back
And give us a new perspective
Sometimes
Walking down that door
Or taking that extra street
Can lead you right where you need to go
Sometimes
Reading that right book
Or talking to that right person
At the right time
Can really make your day
And put things into perspective

Facing uncertainty
Can drive you crazy sometimes
Uncertainty
Of how your life will end
Of how the next day will begin
How the day will end
What will happen in the next 5 years
What will happen within the next hour
Even within the next minute
It can be easy to live off of uncertainties
Living in fear
Chasing your own shadow
Come out from your shadow of uncertainty
And live underneath the umbrella of optimism
Embracing each day and each moment
Instead of fearing it

I am on solid ground
My feet are moving forward
Walking and moving
Advancing toward
An ever approaching future

There are some people that are hollow
They have taken away so much of themselves
That there is nothing left
Nothing but a hollow shell
Artificial
Not knowing what it truly means to be real
If their lives depended on it

We can be eating away
Eating ourselves inside
Eating away little parts of ourselves
Eating ourselves away with doubt
By believing what the world has told us
Feeding the hurt
Feeding the pain
Not knowing how to let go

The people on the t.v.
Pay a lot of money
To take up airspace
To try and sell their products
And to try and grab our attention
And grab our minds
Convincing us
That we need to buy that extra ginsu knife
Or Chia pet
Or else your life surely couldn't be complete
Telling us that we have to live a certain way
Eat a certain way
Love a certain way
Look a certain way
Even feel a certain way
Or else somehow we just aren't good citizens
We just aren't being patriotic enough
If we don't buy into their political slander
And buying into the America dream
That is based on artificial hopes
And artificial dreams

Sometimes its easy
To think of someone as crazy
Thinking of them
As somehow being different
Separate from society
Different from other people
A harm to society
A harm to themselves
They must be contained
Because if we just let them run free
They might just upset the system
And upset everyone else around them
I think sometimes we need
To pay a little more attention
To the people that society
Has deemed as crazy
Or somehow unfit
To work into society
Sometimes its because
They have understood
And seen a little more of this world
Then they would really like
And some of them are just naturally sensitive
And so the world seems like a strange and foreign place
Some people are tossed out
Because they are seen as dangerous
But I think we need to be questioning
The rules and regulations
And what we consider to be normal
In our own society
Before we can start calling other people crazy
We are all a little crazy in our own ways
It just depends on how
We deal with the ourselves

Sometimes I think
We need to scream out loud
Raise our voices
And yell out loud
Yelling for the people
Who can not speak for themselves
Screaming
Releasing the pain
That life can sometimes bring
Allowing yourself to release
Because there are things in this world
We should all be screaming about
And making noise
Let it out

Every once in a while
I forget myself
I forget where I have been
And what I have been through
To get me where I am
I think its very easy
Every once in a while
To forget just how far we have come
Just how much we have grown
And just how hard we have strived
To make it to where we are right now

The will to survive
Can be a very powerful thing
Sometimes its that unbreakable will
That hope to live
That can help us make it
Even if we are hurting
Even if we are damaged
Whether it be physically
Or otherwise
Its our will to live
The will to survive
That will push us through
Time after time

Happiness comes from deep inside
Being content with yourself
Being content with where you are
Living in the moment
And choosing to be free

People can be a headache sometimes
Sometimes I just want to smack some people
There are some people out there
That I makes me question
If people really have any good sense anymore

Sometimes you have
To put a little work in
To really get what you want
Sometimes you have to struggle
Before you reach the finish
Sometimes the skies can seem
The darkest just before you have arrived
But if you endure
Usually there is what you are looking for
On the other side

Little green men
Have invaded our television
Visions of aliens from mars
Instead of sugar plums
Dance through our head
Threatening our sanity
Causing hysteria
There are little green men
On the television
Sometimes I think all of those crazy politicians
And officials might be little green men themselves
Disguised as humans
To hide their existence
But I shouldn't think too loudly
The little green men might come after me.

Adding and subtracting
Can seem easy sometimes
Adding a little bit of ourselves
And subtracting a little bit there
Until we no longer recognize ourselves

The sight of the world
Is a beautiful one
Even as turbulent
As things might seem
Our mother is still beautifully shining
Shining her ever present love and grace
On all her children

Behold
A change is coming
It comes faster every day
Behold
We are in the hour of discontent
We are moving quicker towards something
Behold
There are eyes that are awakening
People that are shaking
Awakening their hearts
Behold
We are moving
Toward what
Only time will tell

They attack our minds
Tell us things that aren't true
They shackle our minds with their half truths
Hiding their lies
Making us feel like we are less powerful
And less whole
Than we really are
They exist in our miseries
In our discontent
Off of our confusion
Taking us away from the one central truth
We are all one
Bound by love
The more we understand this truth
The more their lies will be unravelled
And the truth will be revealed

We shed our skins as we go along
As we get older
We shed older parts of ourselves
So that we can bring forth
Newer
Fresher parts of ourselves
Shedding old habits
Shedding old ways
Replacing them with more beautiful
Shining version
Killing our old selves
So that we can be reborn again

Bells are ringing
People are singing
Dancing
Laughing
Happy
Joyful
Ringing the bells
They sound
Reverberate
As they ring into their soul

There is singing in my heart
Singing in my mind
A voice
A song
That helps me through the day
Keeps me dancing
Keeps me whole
Keeps me moving
To make it through another day

God help us
Mother sustain us
Father come
Spirit descend
Come and rain your love down
Rain it on the world
So that we might all see
Just how lovely
Beautiful
Wonderful we really are
And start loving and each other
As much as you love every single one of us

Sometimes it helps to have an ally
Someone who has got your back
Even during the darkest of days
Helping you see yourself
Even if you don't really want to see
To help us laugh
And to help steer us back
When we are getting off track
Sometimes we could all use an ally in our lives
But sometimes it's nice to be an ally to someone as well.

Sometimes when I am alone with myself
Is when I am at the most peace
When I can separate from the world
Finding myself in myself
Reveling in solitude
Sometimes we need a little alone time
To take care of ourselves
And to reclaim ourselves
From an ever advancing world

Tireless pursuit
Of a twisted dream
Can drive us mad
Twist our hearts
Taking us farther away from ourselves

Its easy to be strict on ourselves
Sometimes we are our own worst judge
Catching ourselves doubting
Wondering if what we did was the right decision
Constantly questioning ourselves and our actions

Elevate yourself
Get past the mundane
Get past the physical
And see the world
For what it is

Sometimes we could all use an escape
An escape from our lives
An escape from the mundane
An escape from the world
And all of the troubles and trials
That come along with it

Sometimes we have
To step away from ourselves
To truly see ourselves at all

Once in a while
It can get hard to smile
Every once in a while
It can get hard to breath
Every once in a while
It can be easy to think about giving up
Every once in a while
You just want  to be free
Free from the weight
Free from the pain
Free from the guilt
Freedom from the shame
Every once in a while
You have to take time for yourself
And to just let it all go
Let go of the hurt
The pain
The shame
And the guilt
And just live day by day
Trying to become a slightly better person
Than you were the day before

Sometimes we just have to take the moment
To dance in the sun
Enjoying life's gifts
Receiving them wholeheartedly
And reveling in the single moments
That make us the happiest
And giving thanks
For the fact that we exist

No matter what we may think
No matter what the world might tell us
No matter what we might have convinced ourselves
We are all worthy of love
We are all worthy of peace
We all have our chances to grow
To love
To dance
To rejoice
To live out God's will with love
And to hope for our fellow human beings
To imbue our gifts
And be willing to share them with others openly
And understanding the healing that can bring

When I think of heaven
I don't think of some angry God pointing down
Spitting out rules and regulations
Condemning people's souls to hell
Love rules everything
There is a little God
And a little heaven in all of us
Even the greatest sinner
Still has a little piece
We live
We die
We move on
We grow
We have to be willing
To accept the God in everyone
And love everyone accordingly
Or else we are limiting our view of God
And ultimately limiting our view of heaven.

There is a gate that opens up
It leads to nowhere
It is sitting
Waiting for those
That attempt to enter
To fall victim to its traps
It's very easy to enter
But even harder to get out
One you open it
You will never be the same

Taking a break from my mind
A break from this world
A break from myself
A break from this mess

Sometimes its the light inside of us
That keeps us sane
And keeps us alive
And keeps us fighting another day

Grace can save
Sometimes it is only through grace
Peace and mercy
That we can truly see into others hearts
And see the god worth saving

I think people are slowly
Waking up
There are a lot of people
That are still confused
Are still stumbling along in the dark
But there are the people
Who actually see the light
And the truth for what it is
And don't mind sharing it with others
