Change can be a good thing sometimes
I think we need to be willing
To step outside of our own comfort levels
To really challenge ourselves
And to accept change
And alter ourselves where necessary
Change is coming
The world is changing
Every second
Moving quicker
Ever faster toward a new
Ever changing
Ever approaching horizon
Are you ready?

The reign of man is obsolete
We think we rule this planet
We think we are in charge
We think that we are free
To use the animals
To use the air
To use the earth
To use this planet
To use each other
To get ahead
Synthesizing chemicals
Synthesizing drugs
Synthesizing people
Synthesizing animals
Even changing the very nature
Of nature itself
But we aren't in control
As much as we think we are
The more we try and control nature
And the more we try and control each other
The more we will realize
That we shouldn't be trying to control
Or trying to change
Or trying to manipulate nature
Or even other people
Its amazing
We have more than what we need
To provide for ourselves
Provide for our mother
To provide for this planet
If we were to actually live in harmony
Living with the animals and the planet and each other
Instead of trying to control and to manipulate and to alter and change

It's easy to look down on the others
The people that just don't fit in
The people who are outside of the game
I think we should start paying
A little more attention to the others
And start seeing that they we are all
Playing the same game
I think some times we need
To step out of the game
To truly be ourselves

Having a strong will
Is about sticking to what's right
Knowing the truth
And being able to be flexible enough
To change and grow as necessary
And as you become stronger in yourself
Others will see your strength too
And you can begin to share that strength with others

Being calm through the storm
Can be just as simple
As taking the time
To trust yourself

Walking is about
Putting one foot
In front of the other
And trusting yourself
To keep going

We run ourselves frantic sometimes
Running around in circles
Not really knowing
Which way we should be going
Just slow down
Take a deep breath
And know that everything
Will be alright
If we just take the time to slow down a bit

We add a lot of things to ourselves
A lot of weight
A lot of baggage
Emotional stress
Physical limitations
They can help to weigh us down
Adding more as we go along
We can start to feel
Like the weight just keeps bearing down
We can even start to feel
Like the world is bearing down on our shoulders
But slowly and surely we can begin to remove the weights
Lifting yourself and lifting others as well
Living in harmony with yourself
Understanding that your are here
That you are human
And we all have our own weight to bear
It's what you decide to do with it
That truly defines you

I can see that you are hiding
I can see that you are peeking out
Are you lost?
Where is your home?
What's your name?
Where are you from?
Do you know yourself?
And how did you end up here?
I think we ask ourselves
These questions all the time
Sometimes its easy to get lost
Sometimes we just need to be reminded
That we are never too far from home

There are a lot misconceptions
When it comes to ***
And connecting ourselves in intimate
And healing ways
Enjoying and reveling in the pleasure
Being able to be in the moment
Truly awake and feeling ourselves
Feeling our bodies
And connecting with each other
*** has the ability to be a very powerful thing
It can transform two hearts
It can be a very powerful and uplifting thing
But unfortunately we have repressed ourselves
Even though we have a hyper sexualized society
We still repress ourselves in a lot of ways
We have commodified ourselves
And our bodies
And commodified *** as well
We need to be able to open ourselves up
To the possibility that there might be better
More whole ways to connect
Connecting with ourselves fully
Connecting with others fully
In healing and intimate ways
Because the way things are
It's Only propagate loathing of yourself
Loathing of your body
Even loathing of the feminine
And anything sensual
We need to break free of this
Because if we don't
We will continue to have people
That are lost and disconnected
From themselves
You will continue to have ****
And you will continue to propagate
The separation between the masculine and feminine
Not allowing ourselves to connect
In healing and sensual ways

Ecstasy in the moment
Love divine poured out
Living each moment
As if it were your last
Connecting with yourself
Feeling the love
Intimacy
Caring kindness
Sharing that with others
Ecstasy divine
Living in the moment
Love inside
Flowing from your heart
Flowing from your mind
Flowing out in waves
Connecting you to yourself
Connecting you to others
In wondrous and beautiful ways.

Touch can be very important
We all need to be touched
We all need to feel like we are beautiful
In our own ways
Learning to embrace our selves
Embracing the warmth
That can come with a simple touch
With a simple hug
I don't think we allow ourselves to be touched enough
We spend so much time guarding ourselves
We have spent so much time demeaning ourselves
Demeaning our bodies
Sexualizing ourselves
Demonizing touch
Even demonizing our bodies
Ultimately repressing ourselves
We need to be able to allow ourselves to be more open to touching
And hugging
And just spending time
Connecting in intimate and healing ways

We all lust
We all have
That passionate part of ourselves
The ******
The sensual force
That lives in all of us
Driving us mad at times
Clouding our minds with passion
Thinking about it
How something as simple as touch
Can be so intoxicating
Even a look
Can drive you insane
From across the room
How even a thought can be enough
To drive you to distraction
Touching
Kissing
Living in the moment
Reveling in the touch
In the pleasure
Joining as one
We all have lust inside of ourselves
It can drive us insane
Driving us to dizzying heights
We must embrace our ****** side
Embrace ourselves and even embrace our sexuality
Or else we will live repressed
Afraid to connect to our more ****** side
And ultimately denying our bodies as well
So live passionately and lust to your hearts content
As long as you are all having fun

I enjoy flowers
They are really amazing
When you truly think about them
They are constantly reaching for the light
Always growing and thriving  
Wherever they are planted
They grow from seeds
And some grow from bulbs
All the information
They ever need to grow
Is stored in their birth
When those magical seeds are formed
Like little heart beats
Each one an individual new life
Just waiting for the chance to grow

There is a spring
Inside of all of us
Its just waiting to flow
There is a spring inside of us
We just have to learn to turn it on
This spring is peace
And the well is love
You just have to be willing
To reach inside
And find it

People die every second
A life blinking out
In the blink of an eye
Life's antithesis
Death rears its ugly head
But we never truly die
Our bodies become recycled
Being consumed by the earth
Ashes to Ashes
Dust to Dust
Our bodies will always return to its source
But our spirits never die
They simply transform
Returning to the source
Where our spirits can be free
Where we become one with the universe
Where we become one with God
Repeating the great cycle
Only to fall again.

Everything has its own spirit
Everything on this earth sings
Breathes
Lives in its own way
The spring of life
Gushing forth
Bringing animation to everything

Love comes effortlessly
When we least expect it
Opening up our hearts
In whole new ways
Allow the love to shine through
Don't let love pass you by

Sometimes we rely too much
On what other people say
To make decisions
Especially when it comes to us
We can allow people to convince us
Of a lot of things that just aren't true
We have to be strong enough in ourselves
To understand what is the truth
And who we should be paying attention to

If you ever feel down
If you ever need someone by your side
Just know that I have plenty of room
I have extra space in my heart
Just for you
We have been friends for so long
We know each other so well
We have been through a lot together
We have changed a lot together
We have been through a lot of relationships
Some haven't been as good as others
Yet our friendship has remained strong
We can tell what we are both thinking
And we have known each other for so long
That I can honestly say that I love you
And I can't imagine my life without you in it
Standing steady and strong at my side
So don't hesitate to ask
Because I know you would do the same for me

Its easy sometimes
To rally against something
Especially something we are passionate about
I think sometimes we have to be willing
To step back and really figure out
What we are rallying
Or fighting against in the first place.

I think that we all need to feel special
We all need to feel connected to someone
We all need to know that we are loved
To be touched
To be held
To be told that everything will be o.k.
Sometimes all we need is a hug
A kiss
A smile
From that special someone
To light up our hearts
And to make us feel whole again

Sometimes you have
To pay attention
To life's little moments
The pause between a breathe
That warm feeling in your heart
That tells you everything is going to be o.k.

Sometimes we can get caught
Recycling old feelings
Getting caught in old ways of doing things
Not allowing ourselves to move forward
Recycling the same habits
Over and over again

There are some things in this world
That can't be explained
Life's little inconsistencies
That seems to plague us
Sometimes it can feel like
The world is upside down
It can get easy to get caught up
Living in inconsistencies
Moving away from the reality
Living our lives backwards
Not really understanding
Exactly where we are supposed to be
But when you start to line yourself up
And once you start to understand
That life shouldn't be forfeit for pride
For greed
For power
For personal gain
Out of anger
Out of fear
Out of ignorance
People are living lost
Moving backwards
From where they should be
Harming themselves
And often others in the process
But we must learn to live in reality
And step away from the inconsistencies
That cloud us from where we should be

Every minute
Every second
Every hour
Life begins
Starting the seed to new life
Life is everywhere
Spreading out
Indestructible
Just as their is destruction
Death
Disease
There is always life waiting to spring
Life's spark
God's glow
Giving life giving breathe to everything
Life has seasons
Nothing lasts forever
Everything is changing
Just as one thing ends
Another begins
Just as one thing perishes
Life still moves on

Its easy to be bitter
Just laugh
And smile sometimes

Sometimes we get railroaded
So we move to the right tracks

A train of thought
Is a powerful thing
Used correctly

Trails run through the forrest
Offer nature's delight on display

Heaven is around us
We just have to look
Inside ourselves

Powerful orbs
Search for the light
View into your soul

Lapsing into myself
I find
Inner demons
And the calm

I think that its very arrogant
For some people to believe
That we are somehow better than
Or greater than any other animal
Or any living organism on this planet
We all live and exist just the same
Floating on the same beautiful ball
That we all call home
Everything has a spirit
You can not separate spirit from matter
So to say that animals don't have a soul
Or don't have a spirit
I believe is a very arrogant statement
It denies them the spark and spirit
And ultimately denies the fact that they
Are living breathing beings just like us'
I don't believe that we were put here
To subjugate the fields and the animals
We were meant to live in harmony with
The other living things on this planet
And to live in harmony with ourselves as well
Learning from each other
Existing in harmony with the planet
Not against it
In the effort of trying to tame the wild
We have ultimately destroyed
Our planet in the process
I believe that we need to get back to the natural way
Living in communion with each other
And living in communion with every living thing
That is on this wonderful
Beautiful blue ball
We call Earth
And we all call home

Sometimes I wonder
If I am going crazy
There are sometimes
When I wonder
If I am truly insane
And if everyone else around me
Is actually sane
It seems more often than not
The things and the ideas that I express
Don't really seem to follow
The general rules
I know that there are some people
Who seem to agree with what I say sometimes
But a lot of what I think
Is just a jumbled mess of words
Coming together in my poetry
Sometimes I wonder
If I am going out of my mind
But then again maybe everyone is crazy
And I am the one that is insane
But they say that the true sign of insanity
Is not being able to realize you are insane in the first place

We tend to close ourselves
We tend to shut ourselves off
We tend to close our hearts
To keep ourselves from hurting
We shield ourselves
We shield our hurt
To hide the pain
We are taught that
We are supposed to keep smiling
Keep pretending everything is o.k.
Afraid to crack and show any weakness
We have to shut off our emotions
To play the game
We learn very early
That if we open our hearts
If we allow ourselves to be vulnerable
We will ultimately get hurt
So we learn to become callous
To become cynical
To protect ourselves
Not allowing ourselves
To be optimistic
Actually hoping
Or wishing for something
We are so afraid of losing something
That we automatically shut off
Whenever we feel like we might
Have the chance to fail
That way when we do
We won't feel so bad
We can just convince ourselves
That we weren't meant to have it
That we shouldn't have tried in the first place
Pushing aside our own feelings
To shield our hearts
But ultimately all this ends up doing
Is bottling the hurt inside
It will manifest in other ways
If you don't let it go sometime
Being able to open up your heart
And being able to open yourself
Allowing yourself to be vulnerable
Putting your heart out
And trusting that it will be o.k.
We all have times in our lives
When we want to hide ourselves
When we are dealing with
Negative things that happen
But its about being able to express yourself
And not bottling it up
Being able to express whatever you feel
Being present in the emotion
No matter what it happens to be
Whether it be anger or joy
Allowing yourself to be present with yourself
Opening yourself up so that you can be present
Being present with the people around you
And sharing your heart openly
I think you will find
That if you share your heart openly with others
They will do the same for you

Sometimes you have to reconcile love
To really love yourself
To truly know yourself
To let go of your preconceptions
Of what love might be
And find yourself again

The edge of eternity
Lies between the future
The present
And the past
Floating elusively
Just out of our grasp
The more you try and hold on
The more it will elude you
Until you have to resign yourself
That to truly comprehend
The enormity that is eternity
You have to let go
And tap into that old intuitive part of yourself
That just knows and perceives
We all have all the knowledge
All of the information we ever need
We just need to know where to look
We just have to look inside of ourselves
To find where the edge of eternity lies
Its hidden in our minds
Its hidden in our hearts
It's just waiting to be unleashed

Even as crazy as the world is
It seems like there is peace to be found
It is the crazy dynamic
That plays over and over
Just as there seems to be
More violence
People almost seem
To be losing their minds
You hear on the news
How more people are
Committing murders
How it seems like more
People are abusing children
How all of these drugs that we have created
To heal people
Are causing more damage
Than the symptom they
Were intended to cure
We hear all the time
More and more people
Are losing their jobs
There is civil unrest
How the homeless
Population is rising
And more families
Are being tossed by the wayside
But even with that said
There is still hope
There is still laughter
Life goes on
We can still find peace
Even in this crazy world
We can still find moments of happiness
That is the great thing about being human
We can live
We can love
We can laugh
Even during these crazy times

I am sailing on a dream
Sailing in my mind
I am free in my dreams
Free for my thoughts to take flight
I am free from the world
Free from the weight of everything
Everything that is going on in my life
Has drifted away
Floating somewhere between
The sea of eternity
And my mind
I am floating
Feeling ever free
Sailing on a dream
As I descend into the waking world
I feel the weight return
I have passed through another night
Ready to face another day

I see the sky above me
I feel the earth beneath me
I see the sun in the sky
And I see the moon
Shining down
I see the stars
Shining bright
To lead our way
When we are lost in the night
We all see the same sky
We all feel the same earth
Underneath our feet
We all look at the same moon
We all feel the same sun
Shining down from above
Giving its life bringing
Glow to us all
Touching us all the same
We all look at the same moon
The stars are there for us all to see
As long as we still feel the same Earth
Underneath our feet
And as long as we feel the same sun
Bearing down on us all the same
As long as the stars still cover
The sky at night
As long as we look at the same moon in the sky
And as long as we still look at the same sky above
We are all connected
We are connected through the Earth
No matter how different we are
Or how different our experiences are
We are all connected by the Earth
We all share the same home
We are all children from the same mother
Giving life and breath to us all

I wonder sometimes
What it is the that people see
When they look at me
What it is that people notice first
It never ceases to amaze
Just how many seem to have
A hard time really classifying me
I think that we tend to classify people in general
Its often very easy to just
To automatically make assessment off of what we see
We almost have a harder time
Dealing with the people that are ambiguous
That we can't classify right away
Than the people that seem to fit
The stereotypes
Or are preconceived ideas
About how we think
People should behave
Or even look
And if people don't
Automatically fit
Into our neat little boxes
And into a neat little
Classification
Its almost like we repel those people
Somehow it scares us to see people
That don't fit into our ideas
Our ideals of normalcy that is based
On social constructs that we have
Built ourselves
I think we need to step
Away from putting people
In small boxes
We need to start really
Looking at people
Getting past the stigmas
And the social constructs
That we put on certain people
And seeing the person for who they are
Everyone is lost in their own ways
We all could use a little help here and there
But when you automatically
Shun someone
Or push someone aside
Based on superficial constructs
You ultimately end up alienating them
But you are ultimately alienating yourself
Living in lies and false fears
That are based on false precepts in the first place
We all want to be seen as people
We all want to have our own voices
To have our own views
Without worrying about being judged
Or classified by anyone
We are all human
We all deserve to be treated as such

We all have our own journeys to take
We all have a long way to go
We all have our own paths ahead
We all have our different points of view
We all follow our own way
We walk our own path
We have our own past
We have our own future
We all exist in the same time
In the same present
We go to the same place
We all go to the same source
We return back to the light
To begin everything anew
Where our paths converge
Where we are one with the creator
Where we are one with the source
Where we understand everything
Where we come back again
To try and remember everything again
We all walk our own paths
We all have our own futures
We all have our own trials
We all have our own crosses to bear
We all have the chance to grow and to thrive
And to get to do it all over again
Until our souls are ready
To return again

There is an order to everything
An underlying factor
That rules everything
We need to get back in order
So that we can start living together
Living in order with the Earth
Instead of trying to subjugate and tame it
Learning from the ancient wisdoms
And taking care of our mother
And taking care of ourselves
Paying attention to the natural order
Instead of forcing our artificial way of life
Unto each other and this planet
Our mother wants to be free
Free to breathe
To live in balance
Everything has a balance
Everything has a natural order
We have to be willing to live alongside
Our brothers and sisters
Living in order with each other
Living in order with ourselves
Accepting ourselves
Accepting our natural order in the world

Sometimes all it takes
Is a simple act of kindness
To really make someone's day
Extending yourself to someone
To someone in need
Being that person
Who steps up for those
Who no one else will step up for
Being that person
Who wants to help because they see
That there are people who need help
And they know in their hearts
That they have the ability to help
Or a burning desire to make change
Where change doesn't seem to come very easily
Being that special someone
In someone's life
Extending yourself to others
In loving and kind ways
Opening up your heart
For the people
Who everyone else has shut out
Putting yourself in the crossfire
So that others can live a better life
Even if it means you have to give
Everything and all of yourself
In the process
Being willing to be there for others
To cry for them
To fight for them
To live in someone else's shoes
Sometimes all it takes
Is that first act of kindness
To really change people's hearts
To let them see the possibilities
When we all act a little kinder to each other
And protect the people in this world
Who need protecting the most

I think that we all need time to breathe
We spend so much time running
We seldom take the time
To just enjoy life
To go for a walk
To enjoy the simple act of living
Allowing yourself to truly breathe
And feeling your worries dissolve
Taking the time to do something
That makes you happy
And taking the time to build
Positive relationships with the
People around you
Building your community
Getting to know the people around you
Take time to breathe
Just breathe in
And breathe out
And you will start to see
Just how much more stress free
Life can be
If you just take time for yourself
Every once in a while
To let go
And just be
BREATHE!!!

Yesterday can seem so far away sometime
Sometimes it can feel that yesterday is all we have
We can become so trapped in yesterday
Remembering pasts and replaying the same drama again and again
Never quite being able to let go of what happened
Constantly holding on to everything that has ever happened
Being stuck in the past with no future
And with no present
Constantly stuck
Frozen in time
Unable to move forward
We can continue to hurt ourselves
Locked in memories
That just don't seem to fade
We must be willing to live in the present
Allowing ourselves to move past our past
So that we can live in the present
And start moving toward the future

I remember when I was a little kid
Easter used to be a big thing
We used to eat our cadbury eggs
Paint our boiled eggs the day before
And we would go out and hunt
Once they had set the day before
We used to go to the sunday masses
That would teach about Easter
And of course Peter Cottontail
Would be once again hopping down that bunny trial
But somehow it always seemed funny to me
Even as a child
That somehow a bunny was supposed to lay eggs
And somehow little chickens were involved
Somehow it had something to do with jesus
And that we were supposed to be honoring him
By painting easter eggs
And opening up our easter egg baskets
Now that I am older
I don't really celebrate it as much
I am caught between the crossroads
Of childhood the fun and glee it used to hold
And the part of me that thinks about these things way too much

There is a trinket
A treasure that we all have
Just waiting to spring
We have a treasure inside of ourselves
That not many people find
Some people spend their whole lives
Searching for that one thing
That everyone has
It's in the heart of a child
It's locked away
Just waiting to be found
Just waiting to be accessed
When the world starts to turn on us
When it seems like things
Are not quite going as planned
When we have to make it through the storm
And when we feel like life
Just keeps throwing one curve ball
After another
It's hope
We all have the ability to hope
To dream
And to love
With hope we can get through anything
It gives you the strength
To carry on in even the darkest times
We must be willing to find that hope
That lies dormant within all of us
Or we will inevitably get lost
Losing ourselves more and more
To an unrelenting world
It can be easy to lose sight of who we are
It can be even easier to lose hope altogether
But if we hold onto hope
If we keep it in our grasp
We can move mountains
And do great things
That we might not have thought
We were capable of
