I dreamt of dinosaurs last night,
But it wasn’t just the
Prehistoric
Enormous, graceful animal
Slowly eating the green foliage.

I dreamt of a new world
Or was it an old word?
Another dimension
That my essence
Gave me a quick glimpse of?

I dreamt of a message
That this isn’t
Reality
That we are indoctrinated
And we have no sense of this.

I dreamt I woke up.
I wanted to ingress that  
New absolute
So badly and it felt
Like a world I’ll be forever seeking.

Today, for the first time I realized after 26 years in this
City of Trees that, the helicopters, the ones I’ve watched swirl down from the heavens every year,

They blossom in May
How has this gone unnoticed?

What is it?
WHAT AM I TRYING TO NUMB?

This urge this itch I have
Is seems to come and go
But mostly comes

This addiction this
“need”
What am I trying to numb??
