Life is a scream, Life is a hoot,
In a zoot suit, on a toot-toot,
With a razzle-dazzle twist and a fuddle-fuddle boot,
You’re strutting like a jellybean, totally cute.

Giddy-up, flip-flop, and give a loud “hee-hee,”
While the dolled-up dames shout, “Ain't that the bee's knees?”
Don’t be a wet blanket, join the jamboree,
Let's hop, skip, and jazz it, wild and free!

Twirls and giggles, a plop and a pop,
Belly laughs bounce as we belly-flop.
A snazzy little rhyme with a wink and a flick,
Life’s too short...let's get our kicks!

A giggle, a shimmy, a zippity-zap,
Twirling our petticoats in a clap-clap clap.
Don’t be a damp rag, don't be a dud,
We’re turning the world into a fizz and a thud!

With a hocus-pocus, and a zippity-zing,
We’re skipping the hop and doing the swing.
Snaps and taps, we're popping the cork,
In a hoot, in a holler, let’s go for a walk!

A snappy chapeau, a high-heeled sashay,
Flipping our hair in a most fabulous way.
So let’s set the world on a merry tilt,
Spinning in circles ‘til the sky's made of quilt!

We’re jiving, we’re jiving, no need for a plan,
We’re a crackerjack crew, and that’s who I am!
With a wink, with a nudge, we’re out for a ride,
On this zany old rollercoaster, side by side!

“Life’s a hoot, so let’s make sure we’re the ones doing the screaming!”
Written for a friend... You know who you are...
In every flower
There is a poem
In a garland
There's poetry

Pastel similes
Bright metaphors
Sweet allusions
Quaint allegories

In every flower
There is a poem
For every season
And every day

A song of Spring
A verse of winter -
And all that life
Brings your way.
If you ever feel,
Like you are an accident,
Just close your eyes,
And listen to the birds,
Tweedle-ee, tweedle-oo,
Hear the sway of the leaves,
Shhhhhh... shhhhhh,
Open your eyes,
See the blue sky,
The green grass,
The fresh air,
And remember,
You
Are
Loved.
Wanted.
Do not give up.
Keep pressing on.
I press on for the prize,
For which God has called me heavenward,
In the name of Christ Jesus.

You are never alone.
In daily rush, we pass the fleeting joys,
The sunrise painted gold upon the stream,
A child’s soft laughter, nature's sweet employs,
Yet we, absorbed, may lose the gentle dream.
The beauty dwells in moments small and bright,
In whispered winds, where blossoms sway and dance,
But oft we miss these gifts of pure delight,
Entranced by shadows, caught in life’s expanse.
Take heed, dear heart, in stillness value worth,
For every breath encased in fleeting time,
In gratitude, find beauty’s truest birth,
And seize each moment as a cherished rhyme.
Let not this life, though bright, be brushed aside;
Embrace its grace, let love within us bide.
"A Life Beautiful, Yet Uncherished" evokes a poignant sentiment about the contrast between the inherent value of life and the tendency to overlook or take it for granted. It captures the essence of existence filled with wonder, joy, and potential that often goes unnoticed amid the mundane routines and challenges of everyday life.  Just this morning I was driving to work thinking about all my troubles ... barely seeing the road in front of me for all my woe.  A passing train honked and jolted me out of my reverie.  I noticed a car at the stop sign turn left onto the highway.  He had just beat that train.  How lucky!!     It brought a genuine smile to my face to see the good fortune of another for goodness knows I know how it feels to be so lucky to not have to wait for a train or light or other such hinderance.  I then looked around to find the sky in all sorts of shades of gray and blue with swatches of pink throughout.  It was a little stormy, a little dark, but very beautiful.  JOY in small things.  Embrace the life around you with grace and joy.
In the quiet, where words should land,
There’s only the echo of my trembling hand.
A heart once fierce, now a stone in my chest,
Fighting a battle that won't let me rest.

Once, there was hope in the space we shared,
But the walls have closed in, and no one’s there.
Respect, like sunlight, is slow to fade,
Yet I stand in shadows, feeling betrayed.

I’ve given it all, and it’s never enough,
The silence thickens, the road’s grown rough.
I ask for one thing to keep me alive;
But respect is a gift I can’t derive.

I am more than a fight, more than a plea,
But the weight I carry is crushing me.
I want to rise, to shatter the chain,
But the world holds me in an endless refrain.

Still, I am the lion, I am the flame,
Though the path is uncertain, I’ll rise just the same.
For even in silence, even in pain,
I am still here, and I’ll rise again.

I will rise, not for them, but for me.
I will rise, and let the world see.
I carry worlds within my chest,
silent storms I don’t confess.
A smile, a nod,a quiet plea,
hoping someone sees through me.
