Shallow
Levin Pace Dec 2018
I feel empty.
A lot of people know me, a lot don’t.
A lot of people could, but they won’t.
We sometimes succumb to darkness,
Our mental plague.
Wishing anyone could just wash it away.
But instead we are alone.
Wishing someone would pick up their phone
Willing to delete the life we were given
Instead of looking at happiness sit ins
The mask has fallen,
Just wish I had a hole to crawl in.
So I could die in piece.

Roses are lame
Levin Pace Nov 2018
Your laugh is like the night sky
Everlasting in my mind
Going on forever in my eyes
Such a feeling i cant unwind
Calling you a rose is untrue
Roses are thorned and overrated
And it just isnt you
Your beauty cannot be stated
You are a daisy
Lovely and yellow
Little smile driving me crazy
Roses are lame, and you are mellow
Ignore the dumb roses,
Daisys are perfect for me.
Im sick of love and feelings, but my brain eats it up.

Hurt
Levin Pace Dec 2018
Kiss my scars, to tell them goodbye
Lay with me towards the night sky
Talk about the wish for us to fly
Not running for my life anymore
It’s time for us to settle the score
We will tell depression nevermore
For chloe

The World War Daisy
Levin Pace Nov 2018
One daisy
Untouched by the carnage
Watching as a city burned
Unscathed by the bombs
The warchangers
Only 2 dropped
Only 2 needed
Their targets burned
And the flower just watched
As retaliation fell
And radiation rose

Sunshine
Levin Pace Nov 2018
Not an object but a person
The girl whose smile lights up the room
Making everyone happy without trying
Her kindness knows no bounds
Not a single soul regrets their meeting
Because she is their sunshine

1 Daisy in a field of weeds,
Bright and untamed
Lively and beautiful
But thinks she is wilted
Imperfect, thorned
But yet she is brighter than all
The number was the current number of people alive at the time of writing

Grief
Levin Pace Nov 2018
Inside every heart there is a poem
And behind every poet there is pain
I must confess that im depressed
And its driving me insane
I want to simply be happy
But it's something i cannot do
For how can i be happy
When my happiness died with you

Are we living?
Levin Pace Jun 2019
Are we living or just doing the motions?
I wonder how many of us are holding on
For better days to come, futures to come
Only to be let down by some.
It gets better I promise. You’ll get through this.
If they left you, they aren’t worth it.
If they don’t accept you, their loss.
Your life is yours to live, and you’ll make it.
So don’t just do the motions,
Live.
I want to give you all the hope I need.

Tell me what you see
Is it a demon inside
Or a soul screaming to be set free
