My heart is naive.
Mirroring all the common characteristics of a innocent child.
So credulous in spite of the numerous lessons learned from being so trusting.

My mind is overbearing.
A warden, feelings must stay contained.
My heart is only meant to beat.
Not to love ever again.

I only have 15 minutes on my break, but thats all I need to satisfy my desire.

I start by letting my pen kiss all over the page.
As my thoughts penetrate my mind and I insert each word inbetween the lines we become one.

Poetry!

One day I hope you'll find me.
I’m not where your peers say you belong.

I know that the thought of them finding out where you belong embarrasses you.

I am patient, because I know one day you will find me.

And on that day we will be brave and take on the world!

You're not as great as you think you are.
Sure, you may have an abundance of knowledge
but, who have you taught?

You're not as great as you think you are.
Sure, you’re good looking and stand tall with great posture
but, who have you instilled confidence in?

You’re not as great as you think you are.
Sure, you have faith and pray to me when in need
but, who around you have you helped?

Caged 23 hours a day, granted one random hour in the sun.

This cell will not break me. I know who I am.

I was never the reason your face had a frown.

Or the cause of tears that flow like a river.

You shackled me, I'm tired of being suppressed!

I am the key that unlocks your smile.

I know that in life you must grow, but dont lock away your inner child!

A door without a ****.
A bank without a vault.

A window with no latch.
A cell phone with no password.

A model lacking confidence.
A love lacking trust.

Your words and no actions.
I’m blind and insecure.
