The end
Lei Hopwood Mar 2015
The end of things to come may never happen,
Whilst the end of current things happen before your eyes,
Before you brain could comprehend them.

Know Regrets
Lei Hopwood Mar 2015
I always believed it was better,
just to give up and wonder,
what could have been,
Now I know,
Now I know,
I can never give up,
and I can't get back down,
no more,
I'd rather fight and it fail,
I'd rather suffer than wonder,

Go in facing the pain,
with out the risks we can't grow,
without the cold there's no snow,
no sun without,
the moon,
But you'll know soon,
It's not better to give up and wonder,
when it's your life that tares asunder,
Fight never bail,
who cares if you fail,
Suffer then let your life buffer,
reset and reload,
don't regret this episode...

I always believed it was better,
just to give up and wonder,
what may never have been,
and now I know,
Now I know,

Journeys End
Lei Hopwood Mar 2015
I walk to clear my head,
wondering aimless amongst the dead,
listening to what the lives wish they'd said.
New life born upon thier backs,
as I crush souls with my tracks,
pondering this my brain racks.
Listening aimlessly my thoughts blurry,
Thinking back on all my friends,
my heavy heart this truly mends,
as finally my journey,
ends.

Echos
Lei Hopwood Feb 2015
You echo through my dreams,
Where in your eyes I can see a million star lights,
And in your smile I can see the gleaming sun so bright,
And I can hear your voice,
as it's calling me
calling me,
you echo,
echo through my dreams,

Although the dawn has broken,
I've glued it back together for you
Although no one will notice,
I did it all for you

Guiding Lines
Lei Hopwood Jan 2015
Smiles of their shallow passions,
blinded by the lights,
soaring from a wire noose,
wrapped in the fog of somewhere they can never know,
wearing masks of many colours hiding for all to see,
Projections of the milkyway turn the double helix at their core,
anti spiral of the pits winding wicked tales
empty souls that pass them by drawn in by the sales,

Where yesterday was,
or where tomorrow will be,
is nothing to do with me,
As the leaves turn
and snow begins to fall,
I will rise or I will burn,
Where yesterday was I can never prove,
Where will tomorrow move me,
Above or sent below,
Where yesterday was,
or where tomorrow will be,
is nothing to do with me

The scattered essence our alter egos
stare at them selves in the mirror,
shedding tears that pass us by
raining us into existence,
Something in the eyes of oceans,
whispering acid lies in depths unkown,
searching for our fish in a barrel
working for our shot in show,
when the curtains raise in endless motions,
the call will,
eventually come,
in piercing notions,

Where yesterday was,
or where tomorrow will be,
is nothing to do with me,
As the leaves turn
and snow begins to fall,
I will rise or I will burn,
Where yesterday was I can never prove,
Where will tomorrow move me,
Above or sent below,
Where yesterday was,
or where tomorrow will be,
is nothing to do with me,

Cages
Lei Hopwood Dec 2014
A bird born in a cage
will see only sickness
in the eyes of those in the skies

There is more to I
than meets the eye and I

I choose to fly

The cursed lies of history
demanding a future from me
and mining my attention span
my attention spans galaxies

There is more to I
than meets the eye and I

I choose to fly

Shadows of the hidden hands
piercing your hearts and minds
fighting over forgotten clans
and ignoring prudent signs

There is more to I
than meets the eye and I choose

I choose to fly

You
Lei Hopwood Dec 2014
You
If you hesitate because you fear to fail,
you are a fool,
you are human,
If you fail because you acted
without thinking,
you are a fool,
you are human,
If you fail because you fear to love,
you are a fool,
you a human,
If you love and do not fear to fail,
You are a fool,
You are human,

You are human.

Tomorrow's Dreams
Lei Hopwood Nov 2014
The lines of life,
and dreams are blurred,
when desire rules,
and freedom speaks,
riddles if the day,
water of the wishfull well,
that spills into the now,
yesterday's regrets will stray,
and drift through passions sleeps,
bells ring mellifluous tombs,
that teach us where we go,
what happens when tomorow comes
none of us can know.

Raise your hands
strike like a clock

Make your choices
and close me with a lock

Games of the Gods
Lei Hopwood Sep 2014
Eros:

He is your guide
singing through your eyes
as you are blind he lies

Thanatos:

Is dragging me by
when he wins I hope you'll cry
as I drift off into the skies

What is there?
Lei Hopwood Sep 2014
Is there no justice for
a man who will to fight to make
what is wrong right?

For a man who will change to insure
a bright future, exalted
the core of himself in plain sight.

Is there no hope for
a man?

Mistakes that Make
Lei Hopwood Sep 2014
****** me
take back my veil
exhale me
catch my white whale

Set me free
sliced asunder
let me flee
boundless blunder

Forgive what you see
for I will fight
depths of the sea
Turned into flight
Our life to be
filled with glee
as my pain is the light
of
me

Some times I rant...
Lei Hopwood Sep 2014
Get my point across
after all this is my loss
your in control you are my boss

I'm always here for you
but you are absent
can't arrange myself to fit around my
missing fragment

On giant eagles I did soar
burning I hit the floor
wild passions on charging boar
scrapping egos a filthy cure
after everything you want more

I gave my all
before the fall
on faithless call
locked behind your wall

Planets align
and your not mine
never again will we entwine
journey back a steep incline
soon here after I will be fine

I will be fine
fine

You gave in
Lei Hopwood Sep 2014
There was no doubt in my mind
as you say there isn't in yours

Maybe together we could find
unthought of powerful cures

If somehow we truly bind
then we could fix our flaws

But this never crossed your mind
this choice;  was truly yours.

The Park
Lei Hopwood Sep 2014
When we were together:
We could sit in a park or a field
all day long
feel the sun shining on your face and
forget everything that's wrong

When we were just friends:
We could still sit in a park or a field
all day long
feel the sun shining on our face and
forget everything that's wrong

Now we are apart:
I could sit in a park or a field
all day long
feel the sun shining on my face and
know together we still belong

Nonsense
Lei Hopwood Sep 2014
One of few constants
The one that drives everything
The one that binds everything
Some call that nonsense

Because bonds break
Even with nothing at stake
These things can seem fake

Everything drives itself
upon this mortal shelf
we believe we're full of wealth

Though it seems strange
and out of our range
we all worship change

One of few constants
The one that drives everything
The one that binds everything
How we call that nonsense

On Beating Wings
Lei Hopwood Sep 2014
Once I was an empty tree
and here I swung
On the lowest branches of me
life not yet begun

and here I see you
and you see me
passed me you flew
reaching out
we always missed
reaching out
into the abyss
into the sea
passed you I flew

The deepest depths of me
and down you slung
the branch I could not see

as I am drowning
you are frowning

and then I feel
your last appeal

Your wrist clasp to mine
and mine to yours
and together we soared
forever divine

Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda
Lei Hopwood Sep 2014
Maybe I coulda,
Maybe I shoulda,
That doesn't mean that I ever woulda.

Maybe I woulda,
I coulda,
That doesn't mean that I shoulda,

Even though I shoulda,
I probably woulda,
If I ever coulda,

Coulda,
Woulda,
Shoulda,

Withstood,
misunderstood and,
still good.

Grow to Goals
Lei Hopwood Sep 2014
The're are no snakes,
just Ladders,
for even when you life is in tatters,
you grow,
grow,
grow,
you float,
passionately to your dreams,
When we are salmon,
fighting up our streams,
this is when,
your tenacity gleams,
and pulls,
pulls,
pulls,
you passed,
your past,
your present for
Your future,
awaits.
