And her so called friends
that continuously spoke about
her terrifying past.
Friends that seemed so fake
that they started to look like
poisonous Flowers.
Trusting the wrong ones can make you take Wise decisions in cutting off all there Negativity and replacing them to New ones.
He comes knocking your door
Buys things you need no more
Weighs and pays for discarded load
Then goes off to another road.

For your pound he pays pence
Makes it seem in perfect sense
The deal is only if you're willing
To barter the old for new shilling.

You feel he adds some happiness
Clears the dirt creates the space
Your home was long a messy lot
With no place for new things brought.

Not all old things are like that dirt
A few are ever new are your part
He never asks them to be sold
Knowing you wouldn't for price of gold.

Anger, frustration
Built like a brick wall inside of this heart,
Testing my patience,
Racing,
Waiting to come up with another reason,
Reasons why I deserve it,
Failures, disappointment, sadness,
Picking at weaknesses,
Waiting for a point where this ends,
Patterns of highs and lows,
Spinning so fast,
Everything in mid air,
Becomes a blurry haze,
Where I see a brick wall,
With anger and frustration
Going on and on

Let the light be taken away from the night and let your radiance outshine the sun. The celestial bodies are of no compare to you. The light of your love blinds me and you walk with footsteps as light a summer breeze. I long to hold you and to feel the warmth that your love projects. Flowers bloom in your presence and lives are changed because you have passed by. To know you is to love you and to be placed under your spell. You have stolen the moon from the heavens and replaced it with your smile.

When I give a glass of water to some who thirst, let the glory be God's. When I sew a seed of hope, let the glory be God's. When I answer a friends call for help in the midnight hour, let the glory be God's. In all things that I do that are worthy of honor and praise, let the glory be God's.
We are called to be the hands and feet of God to do his will upon the earth as best as we can given our human frailties. Let the glory be his always.

I once lived as if there were no tomorrow. I didn't care what I did. I thought this moment was all that there was. I was lost and foolish, I could not see the truth. I was without hope as so many are. I struggled to find the answers to a burning question I had inside. Nothing I tried would could give me peace. It wasn't until I one day found Jesus, that I finally was given rest. I came to know the truth. I was broken and couldn't fix myself, I had to empty out my soul. In a moment of utter shame, my sins were lifted away. That was the day he pardoned me.

The floral arrangements will be lovely when they lay me to rest. The mourners will be very somber and waiting to pay their respect. The casket will be lain open for all the world to see. Alas, life has finally gotten the better of me. There will be plenty of tissues for those who choose to weep and for those who snicker at my demise, there will be free drinks at my wake, but before anyone gets a sip or sheds a single tear. I will bid my own farewell as I eulogize myself. Attendance will be mandatory if you want to be in my will. I will not take a lot of time, just a few choice words will I have to say, but by the end of my own sermon, where I speak my mind. Some of those in attendance will be surprise and others will say that's just about right. So all I ask if a few moments of your time, then some of you will inherit my stuff and others can get drunk on my dime. For after I eulogize, myself, I want all to have a good time.

I'll burn this bridge,
Its already crumbling
There's a thousand more.
I'll swim if I have to.
As I fall into the ocean,
Lost at sea,
I remember where I need to go:
Two steps forward; one step back.
Gotta wait, gotta wait
For those lights, please save
Me.

On board these ships, its not the same.
Expecting what I had with you,
We'll cross paths again
When time's better,
Maybe in another life;
This one's so finite.
We are limited by time.

It rocks and withers, and I'll have to depart.
Comrades come, while the rest leave.
We disappear and reappear,
I rent this terrain once more.
My feet still walk,
Stronger yet weak,
Cautious yet confident.

Finally do I see
A new bridge to cross.
You pass, we smile
Silent memories
Remind us why we're here,
Compassion fills our hearts
And there's all that that I see.

But here, the crystal ball glows,
It wanes into the hour,
The luminescence fades,
Our memories devoured,
The screen of our future,
Turn into grains of white noise.
I had a fight with a friend and decided to write this, it is the lyrics to a song but it also functions as a poem. I was inspired by the Simpson's episode of the lighthouse and the loneliness and isolation of it. I was also inspired somewhat of Pirates of the Caribbean possibly, maybe. By Björk. Just kidding. Enjoy.
