Only to get better ones later,

Fake friends I lost
Only to get real ones later,

Games I lost
Only to practice harder,

Time I lost
Only to know it's importance better,

Well, Everything I lost
Only to get something better.

Racing our hearts on the bicycles,
Playing a board game with sandwiches by our side,
I miss those days

Madding and laughing and joking
about anything and everything,
Life being simple,
we being innocent and full of joys of spring,
I miss those days

Now that we've grown, all we talk about is cigarettes, drinks and drugs,
For most of us the innocence is lost
the few who retain it, thus, get lost.

Now I know that's life and we ought to live through it, so;
I hope to keep the child in me alive
and find a few with a heart like mine.

Learning from them makes me what I am,
Since eons, experience has been the best teacher,
I don't regret my choices, even if it was a big, big mistake,
