I LIKE TO SAY YOUR NAME

I like to say
your name

when you're
not here

turn you
into sound

conjure you out of
thin air

so that you appear
before me

dressed in sound
only

memory sketching in
the rest of you

as if sound
was just an outline

and love
colours you in

adding the voice last
so I can hear you say.

"Hello you..!"
and there you are

as present
as present

can be.

I like to say
your name

when you're
not there.
forgiveness not by epiphany or stealth
but slow dawning through pain's night
thorny ever-conscious struggle for love
which suddenly breaks on wings of light
"I wondered if that was how forgiveness budded; not with the fanfare of epiphany, but with pain gathering its things, packing up, and slipping away unannounced in the middle of the night."
~ Khaled Hosseini
The world is a stage
Upon which we are permitted
A temporary performance.

Learn life’s lines well
For when we exit stage left
Only the author
Can command an encore.
I need advice for a suitable title? Or do I just leave it as is.
Your contributions will be welcome.
What if happiness is not only joy.
What if happiness is the struggle you've been through
for a cause known only to a few,
yet full of love and compassion.
What if...
What if happiness is a light
seen only by few.
