Untitled
Romeo Cotex Aug 2016
Years behind a screen is like a different form of light
Fear of  a new existence would provide a strong flight
For the journey that would accomplish something great
Inside my eyes you seen a new fate

Hearts can be won with words but stronger with actions
Once love is proven the goal is now fractions
Being lifted up away from all this stressed
Would be a true gift of which i'm not blessed

I vs. ME
Romeo Cotex Aug 2016
Hold me close with out touching me.
Love me dearly without showing me.
Kiss me sweetly without seeing me.
Need me the most without knowing me.

Things that I've struggled with throughout my life
Wanting to fall in love with out paying the price.
That price is pain it comes so sharp and quick
Like a form of a bruise from a swing of a stick

My mind and heart are at constant war
Never  seeking resolution my soul has tore
Into 2 different views of which happiness bloom
But cancel each other out leaving a depressive doom

It's not my fault I choose this way
At least I can write about it a bit today
I won't give up on finding a solution
To that love and sadness that needs resolution

I'm strong with weakness
I'm in love with loneliness
I'm proud with shame
I'm happy with my name

Daddy
Romeo Cotex Aug 2016
Caught by surprise their life changed in a flash.
One burst of courage and curiosity two worlds clashed
Two beating hearts merged into one
For a new life began two already begun

Life wasn't forgiving for these brave souls
But nothing would stop them because of their goals
They believe and admired the passions of others
As they shared the same fate as their sisters and brothers

Finally the night came where everything was tense
Hours of wait and pain for this new life to commence
In one single moment all of that work was achieved
Through his baby blue eyes and a cry you wouldn't believe

The soothing sound of cooing blows in
as one was the cause but the other chosen
One past choice created a future to explore
As for the mother was abandoned and left sore

This man stood up when no one else would
To make the mother happy as he knew could
Became  her rock  to always be so strong
For he developed love that finally belonged

Unfortunately this man a new life he could not be
For this man was unable to produce the proper seed
He  fought hard and love large for the chance to be a dad
Even tho it wasn't his ideal choice he's definitely glad

Wait for me
Romeo Cotex Aug 2016
It burns with the most deepest form of passion
leaving a scar on my beating heart.
As my world stopped for nearly a moment
I was left there speechless as you said "hello."
Blessed with the gift of vision I could see my future slipping.
As if the true meaning of happiness was an aura upon your skin.
I reach for your hand slowly and gracefully
pausing for a moment for a sign of rejections.
As my fingers collide with your hand
I could feel the heat of love form between our hands.
I kneel down confidently tilt your hand towards my lips.
As I leave a kiss I wish upon your mouth.
Then to awake grasping tightly onto my pillow.
Alone, desperate to hear your voice I call out to you.
"Wait!" but, no response. She's gone, I miss you.

48 hours awake
Romeo Cotex Mar 2013
Slowly I watch my life fade away as if it was meant to be forgotten.
Barely living life, each breath becoming weaker, thoughts become rotten.
Lonely nights I desperately desire people to surround me to delay my true emotion.
Although depression is only an understatement for what my life has put in motion.

A door to my future is closed by the words of my procrastination.
All I need to do is motivate myself to reach my most wanted destination.
The only life that is being lived is my own, as my eyes only can see.
To change a life, you have to sort your **** out so you can achieve.

There are hopes, dreams, wants and goals all created by our own mind.
The only way those become successful is you have to search and find.
Believe in yourself because no one else can change your thoughts but you.
Once you realize you control your own life then finally living will be true.

The explanation of life isn't what others try to prove to you.
It's merely living from birth to death while having memories to look back to.
From your first breath to the last you don't remember but you can forget.
You will know you truly lived when your entire life has not a single regret.

I need you
Romeo Cotex Jan 2013
Like a balloon with to much air, your love makes me burst.
Like a sweater on a bunny, you warm my heart.
Like a smile on an elderly, you complete my life.
Like a child with a teddy, we will never be apart.

Love for puzzlez
Romeo Cotex Dec 2012
Everyone is like a piece to a 2 piece puzzle,
all you can really do is try different pieces until once fits.
Some pieces will come close, some won't fit at all.
Yet, every piece made you realize when you finally have it.
You will fell complete.

A Man & His Guitar
Romeo Cotex Dec 2012
With smiles and happiness spread all around.
Life was ever so sweetly for these two loving clowns.
Although music has been their life from the start.
They will always love each other from the bottom of their heart.

With a guitar in his hands and his love by his side.
He played at his best as the journey began it's ride.
Through the harsh cold winter night to the hot summer days.
While he played his guitar the world stayed in amaze.

As the years grew on so did the wonderful sound.
There once came the time where he saw his love in a gown.
As he was so happy smiling beyond glee.
This man was so happy as happy could be.

Then one night she told him the news,
of which could be why he played the blues.
Months go by which seemed merely an hour.
They had a boy and a girl as pretty as a flower.

As they grew older so did their folks.
As the man knew so much he loved to tell jokes.
Time grew by as the girl wasn't so young.
She was blessed with two gifts but sadly lost one.

As the last gift grew up he became a pain,
but she was a mother of something to tame.
No one knew what he could achieve.
Maybe even this poem if he believed.

So this gift of a son could make people laugh.
Make them smile so the fun shall always last.
If he had to choose his favorite person by far.
It would most definitely be his grandpa and his guitar.
My grand father Steve Hicks won an award for being a musician, I've always looked up to him, and respect him.

Nameless
Romeo Cotex Nov 2012
Intentions of detentions have prevention inventions. Attention I mention, fiction when you listen to the correction of life's mission.

Come get some if you miss them. Then kiss them, with glum chums for the slums. That's not dumb lets have ***, just for fun, i just won as you lose em.

You must train, this insane living in my brain. There's no shame, just a blame to a name, our lame gain for rain so drain this fame from your life which is the Game.
This was a thought that crossed my mind. I Thought again that I should post it.

The Question
Romeo Cotex Nov 2012
Stuck inside a hard time of confusion,
waiting for an answer that might never come.
If I only knew what truly was going to happen,
would I prepare or would I run.

The Silent Hunt
Romeo Cotex Nov 2012
I sit alone, by myself waiting to begin,
As my future goal might be my last sin.
I watch and listen as the wind starts to whistle,
yet, at the back of my mind I could launch like a missile.

Then in a split second I witness an action,
This image is can be missed by a mere fraction.
There walks slowly my life, my food, my thrill.
Tonight is the night, I hunt to ****.

I must not rush, for fear it will frighten.
Once I have success, my mind will enlighten.
For I slowly creep, as I watch it stay.
To hunt this Creature makes it my pray.

As I slowly inch forward with stealth more then ever.
For I must be cautious, it might be the meaning of cleaver.
Hunting isn't a game it's my way of life.
Can't lose this chance I must be as sharp as a knife.

Once so close to my target their scent I could taste,
I don't want it to run for i don't want to chase.
In a quick moment it's eyes lock on to mine.
As it's muscles tense it must mean it's time.

With moves so swift, cleaner then water.
The next few minutes could end in a slaughter.
I leap at it, full force and might.
Then instantly it vanishes from sight.

I am left there once again sitting alone.
Dazed and confused, with weeps and moan.
As I scream into the sky “WHAT CAN THIS MEAN”
I awoke..and whispered “It was only a Dream.”

Inspiration
Romeo Cotex Oct 2012
Don't give into the pressure of wrong,
stop listening to all that garbage being played in a song.

Stand up for your own rights and way of life,
you only have one and you can't live it twice.

Smile, relax, and the live to the fullest,
because once the time runs out, and you reached your oldest.

Stop and look back, if you can say it was golden,
then you have truly known what it's like to live in the moment.

This pain is deep and retread with horror.
This pain has lived with me my whole life.
This pain makes me cry out for honor.
This pain relieves my sorrow.

This torture makes my life who i am.
This torture decides my fate.
This torture can manipulate who i am.
This torture will leave me in the state.

I am the one who destroyed others.
I am the one who made peoples lives hell.
I am the one who manipulated others.
I left you with my only will.

I'm here today to confess my anger.
I'm here today to confess my sins.
I'm here today to stop the horrid lives.
I'm here today to make amends.

Wishing
Romeo Cotex Oct 2012
I look around and see the smiles and laughter of others,
Wishing I could have what they have.

I see couple kissing and holding hands with such love,
Wishing I could have what they have.

I see the world and the people it has with there fame,
Wishing I could have what they have.

I see people live there life to the fullest with no regrets,
Wishing I could have what they have.

I hear about the accomplishments of extraordinary people,
Wishing I could have what they have.

Most of all, I feel the happiness around me spreading like wild fire,
Wishing just wishing, I could feel it for a moment to.

The Sunset
Romeo Cotex Sep 2012
There I’m standing on the top of the Bridge.
Watching the ocean, sky and you.
There. Between the ocean and sky.
There you are. Shiny and big.
I’m watching over you as you slowly gets down behind the ocean.
Watching like you were my lover.
My one.
Just to be sure that no one hurts you or gets way to near.
I wish that you could stay there and watch over me as well, but I knew you had to go sooner or later.
Half of you is down and I keep staring at you, as you were my last hope, love and luck.
You which keeps me warm and happy, please don’t you disappear behind the ocean.
Only an edge of you left. Before you disappear behind this horizon, you gives me this last caress and warm, which could melt any kind of ice.
As the sky turns black my tear slowly appear. It runs slowly and cold down.
I felt helpless and alone.
The cold wind and the black night teasing me around and makes me blind.
I wished this night should be over, and desperate waits for the morning.
For the sunrise.
For my lover.
To see his face and feel his warm again.
I will wait for u.

My Life
Romeo Cotex Sep 2012
My life is like a smile missing some teeth.
My life is like an ice cream cone that once fell on the floor.
My life is like a forest containing mostly burnt trees.
My life is like a horror film with out any gore.

My life won't get mad at you and punch you in the face.
My life won't cry near you and tell you nothings wrong.
My life won't lie to you and make you feel disgraced.
My life won't  back stab you and make you feel gone.

My life never yells for no reason.
My life never smile when it's not happy.
My life never cries when it's not sad.
My life never covers the truth with something sappy.

This is My life. How's Your's ?

If I could.
Romeo Cotex Jul 2012
If I could find a smile,
I'd find it deep within you.

If I could hear a laugh,
I'd make you giggle so true.

If I could feel the love,
I'd give it back but more.

If I could unbreak my heart,
these tears wouldn't be so sore.

If I could have a chance,
I'd turn your life around.

If I could turn back time,
I'd save you from the ground.

R.I.P. Big brother. I miss you.
My Brother Steven Hicks was three years old when he died in a freak accident. I was just a little over my first year.
