When
Lakeiva W May 2017
Ever since I can remember one word surrounded me.
Terrorism
See I was apart of the generation of babies that were alive during 9/11.
Although we don't remember much our lives have been heavily affected.
You see my generation we don't think the what if something horrific happened
For us it's only the matter of when
We are the generation that have began to see terrorism and attacks as normal because it has plagued us in blackness that we have forgotten what it was truly like to not be constantly worried of our safety
So please tell me what it was like to feel safe to not feel as if I don't have an target on my back every where I go
To not come to the terms that I can potentially be another innocent life lost
So tell me what was it like to feel safe?
Because I've only lived in fear

Flower
Lakeiva W Sep 2016
There was a daisy in the mist of a field of roses
They mocked the daisy it was to small
It's not beautiful
It will never be like them
The day of picking came
The  girl walks the field looking for the prettiest flower
Imagine the roses shock when she chose the daisy

Untitled
Lakeiva W Sep 2016
She is a flower
Delicate, fragile, beautiful
She holds the key
The one to his heart
Don't twist it to hard
It may just shatter apart
