In the silence of darkness
Ouroboros May 2018
I sat in darkness alone
Listened to the humming of the machines
The distant faint glow
Of a light before me
I pondered how so
The world could feel so empty
8 billion people
Surely there's another like me
I speak, return echo
Such a life is lonely
Maybe if I close my eyes
I will finally see

Fall of Adam
Ouroboros May 2018
Sunday evenings in the company of an Angel
Reminiscent of time Adam spent with Eve
I should have known when I saw the lightning in the sky
That the night wouldn't end well for me
Held your hand for a moment in the midst of a silent prayer
I saw into your eyes one last time under the illusion
And when the rain started to fall
I should have known that it would not fall alone

Insomnia
Ouroboros Dec 2019
Insomnia starved me of sanity
Darkness wrapped me like a sheet
The ticking of a clock, forever stuck on repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on repeat,
Love, death, color and sound. It all seems empty at times. The world feels so empty
The decayed soul was the Lotus that never bloomed
The gravitas of time and space, merging at the center of my being
The echoes of my thoughts, crashing like waves.
Sleep was the tsunami I prayed for
