the day is swirling around you
with never ending love and fantasy

there is a dire incompatibility
and it is not time or space
or others
you should know
by now
what it is
I have wrapped my head all the way around you
and my understanding is an ouroboros
who is no longer hungry

there are lots of doctors in my queue
which is ironic because I hate doctors
but ****
they are hot

I dreamed of a new lover
he was tall and thin
he was old and young
    (like me)
he was strong and easy and kind
he did not believe
in absurd myths of human subservience
we walked together with our jangly arms intertwined
we laid together with anticipation
we smiled together with shy hope
I woke up with all the best feelings
in my favorite parts of the body
he’ll be back
he was a keeper

the day is cold
very cold
it will not get warm
but my heart makes up for all those types of things

our interactions have become meaningless
in an irrelevant way
which is very compatible with my happiness
but there’s still hope for you in the grand scheme of things
I’m sure of it

unfortunately, I am not afraid of normal things
like a god fearing woman should be
like ****, or ******,
or being photographed without make up
I’m afraid of
supernatural parasites
being abducted by aliens
losing my place in line at the DMV

also, sharks
if you were a shark
I would find you terrifying

as it is
I find you fascinating
and ****
you would be a great way to die
or live, if that’s an option
