Red
Red is the color of anger
That burns and boils and bubbles
It seethes and seems to soak into beauty
It is cold and fierce and fiery
And ironically
*red is the color of love

the early worm escapes the bird*

(and why not? the tortoise won
its race against a speedy hare
)
Left again, I miss you so;
Sorry that you had to go.
A rolling stone, on back you'll come
Tenacious pain gone slack to numb.

I long for years too far ahead
When rose-colored glass has lost its red.
And love between us, strictly true
When time has let me to be with you.

Never broken, I wish we be.
And olden years do grant us see
I know our hearts, as strong as one,
Will bind us when this wait is done.
Not the best string of words, it's been too long since I've written!

It's hard to believe
at one point in my life
I had almost completely
given-up.

But is that not
life within itself?
Going through
peaks and valleys
while falling in-love
with those
that actually care
to help?

Yes,
It is truly
funny how things
work out.

Because all the
problems
I once had,
are now
all the things
I laugh
about.
