Scattered stones upon the ground
I watch them as they land
Did fate determine the way they roll
Or gravity had the pull

They make a pattern I can see
Confusion has me gripped
What if one was too roll some more
And let that pattern slip

Like life I guess you could say
Are we little stones
We change our minds and the flow
Held here by goodness knows

My mind’s all a quandary now
Over thinking little stones
The way they just lay so still
Doing nothing that will show

I go back inside to think about
Why I even thought
Those little stones could even solve
My thoughts now seeping out
I probably think about some really useless things lol.

In the cold air of a winters morn
She stood at the docks waiting for him to come home
As the rain kissed her face her makeup misplaced
And skin now becoming pale
In the distance she could see the ship sailing with ease
Her heart begins to gather time

Tears start to flow mixed with the cold
And her cheeks feel the sting of her pride

Gathered around amongst the crowd
The sounds of many hearts cry
For soon they’ll be near
The men who once feared
The war that took them away

Like moths to a flame
She knew that one day
The love of her soul would he would claim

And now the rain falls so hard
Without any remorse
As the ship starts to berth once more

With tissues in hand she wipes away the tears and the cold
His cold hands grip the rail as he stands
Looking for the love now waiting for him on the dock
Together they shall be
In the house by the sea
No more wars to take him away

The window was open just a bit
As the cool breeze danced around the half opened curtains
Faint noises from crickets broke the silence
Of a peaceful night
The moon now awake shines its silver light
Causing shadows that seem to dance upon the  walls
Jasmine blooms filled the air with sweet dreams
As memories played out like an old film passed
Stillness hung heavy

Sleeping through the quiet show not knowing
How alive the room could be
With all its nocturnal habits parading around

Wind chimes dance erratically twirling on old twine that has seen better days just a rusty nail holds them from falling into the parched earth

How many memories have they played their songs to unashamed at not always being appreciated but once in a while a little smile would reflect upon them
With silent steps the moon moves slow lighting up yet another window

So begins another show another memory untold just locked into the nighttime play maybe when sleep is reluctant to sway a soul this could be something to hold
True to a heart

Time To Cut The Rope

       You’re my best friend I won’t deny
But your problems are too much
Making life hard and our connection
Is getting further out of touch

The rope I gave was for your rescue but
You’re using it for committing a suicide
Killing our relationship and your career
And my emotions I just can’t hide

Life is hard, I can’t wait for it to get easier
Or comfortable like a favorite sweater
Life is never going to be easy so in hard
Times I must find a way to get better

I will always be here for you, this
I need you to understand and realize
But now that rope that’s killing you is
Killing me As tears fall from my eyes

For you and your life
I will never give up on hope
But if I am to save myself
It’s Time To Cut The Rope

I stare at the empty page hope grips my heart
And wonder if the words will flow will there be a start
It’s not easy when nothing comes and time stands still
Why do you leave me in despair nothing seems to say how I feel or how I care
My words just fly away
Am I trying just too hard pushing all the while
Pages bleed their naked forms **** I can’t even smile
Out the window life is abound yeah can’t even write about about the ****** sounds
Growing more frustrated blood is gonna boil
Then a voice says calm your soul don’t get into so much toil
Words find you and they truly will
close your eyes and see them sitting still
Just wait a little while and it will become clear
Then let the heart write them down for all eyes to peer.

Flutter by butterfly
With dreams and wishes too
Kiss the flower as you pass
Heal the land green and new

He walked a path that darkness forged
Weighed down with forbidden dreams
Each painful step reminded him
Of the sins that lay within

Darkest heart and eyes so dull
No feelings can ever bloom
For once was a man so pure and true
Now plagued with evil ado

Voices seem to mock him now
As they call deep within the wind
Sold the soul that was not loved
For a promise never knew

Broken by the fate of hell
Destined to walk alone
Gave everything in good faith
Now pay the price of foolishness
And walk forevermore
