Sin Oct 30
She drew on the cigarette
Her ruby lips parted
As the grey smoke danced around in the
Bitter air like an exotic dancer

Sipping on the ice cool Jack
Staring out of the rain soaked window
Wondering if the neon sign
Lit up the sadness now faced

Again another heavy drag
On the cigarette
The tears began to come
For once upon a simple time
She was someone’s moll
Sin Oct 30
I held you tight and stayed awhile
As the tears stung my cheeks
My heart it breaks into shattered sorrow
And the night glares upon my grief
While the pale moon seems to cry
And stars dim the light

I never told you so many things
As time was supposed to be forever
But now the soul that I knew
Lies cold and still
Waiting to be released

I cannot promise that I’ll
Find happiness once more
As my love died tonight
And the darkness
Begs at my door
Sin Oct 30
Thanks to everyone here being so kind about my writing.
I appreciate that very much.

Tie the rope let it bite
Into the softest skin tonight
Beneath the moon that weeps
And stars that hide in grief

Upon the muddy earth where rain
Has kissed the dirt
And insects scurry onward bound
Towards the bloated heart

Slice the darkness with no shame
As the life now drains
Each breath a distant dream from now
A prayer with no sound

The end has come the tree’s have seen
But secrets stay that way
For they cannot bear to look no more
Instead just bend and sway

As flesh doth rot and blood now dries
A life has been returned
To the mother and her womb
So feed again another time
This earth that now entombs

The drums beat a heavy thud
As the rain lashed the deck
Thunder roars like a caged beast
And lightening dances
In the ink black sky

Steadfast you lazy *******
Hold your breath and prey
The ocean will not take us
Not tomorrow not today

As the wood upon the deck did moan
And sails could not tame
The storm was hungry tonight
The sea it was so dark

We are the warriors
The holders of the realm
No man or beast
No watery grave
Shall take us down to hell

Now stand tall my sea bound rats
For together we can fight
As the land is calling us
Sweet sleep we feel tonight

I watch the weeping willow tree
Bend and sway in the summer breeze
And wonder
Do you feel tired
Sin Oct 29
It’s been a long while since
My silence has laid abound
Time passes by like the clouds
And my words flutter away
As I look deeper into my soul
The need to return grows
Finding the pathway back
Is never an easy walk
