Stuck in a obscure reality
Thinking I’m starting to lose my sanity
Hard to keep a positive mentality
When the worlds trying to **** the life out of me
They’re trying break me
Take my vision so I can’t see
Can’t let them get to me
Snakes all around me don’t know who to believe
Me, myself , and I that’s all I need
That’s my trilogy
Margarita Kamara Aug 2018
Listen to my voice as I sing
I need silence as my high and low notes ring
From a gentle spring
To a raging sea
It’s crazy how life can change so drastically
One minute you’re free
Then stationary like a tree
Listen to this song of life
A bitter sweet melody

A smile so bright
But your eyes beg to differ
Behind that bright smile is something much dimmer
I’m looking into the eyes of a scarred sinner
It’s like I’m looking into the mirror
Of my own tortured Soul
It’s so cold
I wish more than anything to give it warmth
So come forth
Let me transform you
Your damaged I’m damaged too
But together we can make it through

I don’t want you to go
But I can’t ask you to stay
Especially after all the pain
I caused, left you astray
I wish I could change
The past
Then maybe we would last
I plucked your petals
But listen to this love letter
I want nothing but a bright future
for you
Because the shine truly shines for you
And with that light you’ll bloom
You’re petals will come through
I’ll always love you

Black woman Why do you cry
Don’t you see the envy in all their eyes
Yes but I also see the hatred in their hearts
As they add my features to their shopping carts
They pick and choose
With nothing to lose
They could never survive a day in my shoes
See they could never carry the weight on my shoulders
They would shatter like glass under a boulder
Yet my strength goes unrecognized
And all my actions are criticized
Ostracized by society
Put in one category
As if black women don’t come in variety
You’re on the outside looking in like an observatory
You don’t know my true story
You asked why I cry
Well Now you know why

I met the Moon
I feel in love with the view
It radiated it’s light into my dark room
Allowing this Night Flower to Bloom
All those phases it goes through
Some darker than others
But no matter what it’s light always shines bright
Asteroids and meteorites
Collided causing craters in its surface
Far from smooth
yet so imperfectly perfect
I met the moon
I feel in love with it too

Stored away in a ***
Is a concoction
Made of a mind full of unsaid thoughts
And a heart full of hurtful emotion
Set on the stove
With only one motive
To Poison
The ones who left me astray
Left me to wilt away and decay
You’ll hear what I have say
These hurtful feelings will now be served your way
I hope you like the way it taste
Because this concoction is something only you could create
The way you caused me pain
And then just walked away
Going about your day
As if everything was okay
Left me in is disbelief
They say revenge isn’t the key
but it is my relief
