My heart is broken and it will remain the same
I will never recover through all the wind and rain
Darker times are here forever till my last breath
The tears I cry will bleed until my own death
The place called home is like a graveyard
It will always be your home, it tears me apart
Everywhere and everything is a part of us as two
I close my eyes and empty mind, but I still see you
You never leave me I want the pain to stay forever
It would never feel right anyhow now we're not together
Do not think you were not loved, just see the tears I cry
You know when you're in heaven, I will mourn for you till I die

They lie warm together
In the afterglow of torrid love
Her head on his chest, he says
"Sing me to sleep, my love"
So she hums and croons
A tune he does not recognize
With soothing sounding words
In a language he does not recognize
"I love you," he murmurs as his eyes close
"I know," she says smiling
And so, as he sleeps
She lies open-eyed
Imagining a future he will not recognize

Dreadful experiences
The weary heart holds
Traumatic memories
Cling to the soul
Holding them in
Who can let go?

I come not
Seeking empathy
My pain has
No room for grief

This constant
Emotional turmoil
Bleeding me
Flooding my thoughts
Disturbing my dreams
Leave me be plural
In this singular scheme
....

My sequence
Seems to be
Weaving in and out
Of time
My past, present
And future tens
Remain undefined
I can't say what happened
Then right now later down
The line
I'm sure they remain before
In a later former rhyme

My mind's eye squints
As I wonder where
I placed
My next previous line
Somewhere
Out in space
And surely out of time
...

I made my way
Through the raging years
To a certain tenderness
And I've known
A grown man's tears
And the agony of emptiness

And in my time
I have done and seen
More than I could stand
But what was then
And wherever I've been
I'm just another tired man

love is eternal
we move
in and out
out and in
more or less
aware

love
stands
immovable
a statue
gazing
at you

love is eternal
eternity
in love
love
and do
what you will.
