Empty inside
Jonah Jan 2021
Where is my soul?
I am empty inside
Where is my heart?
I am empty inside
What are those feelings
You are talking about?
For I do not feel them,
I am empty inside

There is a void where my heart should be,
A black hole inside my chest.
It´s eating me from the inside,
Choking me every day.
I cannot understand your love,
I cannot understand your happiness,
For I am, and always will be,
Empty inside.

Inject me with poison,
I won´t feel the pain.
Set me on fire and watch me burn,
For there is no food for the flames.
The sun won´t warm my body,
The snow won´t make me hurt.
For my body is numb,
For my mind is screaming,
For I am empty inside.

Your pain is raging,
Like an ocean at war.
Brutal in its force,
Peaceful in its wake.
My pain is creeping,
Lingering and never truly gone
Like the scent of rotten flesh in the sun,
Impossible to ignore.

I am empty inside,
For I do not feel them,
Those feelings you are talking about.
I am empty inside
For my heart isn´t there any more
I am empty inside
For my soul has disappeared
I am empty inside
And I don´t remember who I am.

There once was a boy
Jonah Jan 2021
There once was a boy, his cheeks still rosy;
he walked through the forest and whistled a song called Zoe,
he pursed his pink lips, still ****** and warm,
in his bag a small shirt, ***** and worn.
He'd eaten the girl, devoured her whole,
only kept her gown, so he could trap her soul.

There once was a boy, barely growing a beard,
he had not yet seen a thing he feared.
And so he walked and walked, he knew no end,
he was alone, with nothing but his thoughts as a friend.
He walked through a village, hat pulled deep into his face,
he saw a girl and stabbed her to heaven, say Grace!

There once was a man, so lean and strong,
he had no place where he belonged.
He wandered the earth with nothing but the clothes on his body,
for he was feared by so many, feared for his insanity.
He did not know that they were so close to his spot,
but in the end he was smirking when he was caught.

There once was a man, his hair turning grey already,
but when he was working, his hands were steady.
He looks up from his work now, his clothes stained red,
see the way he severed the guard's body from her head.
He's waited, has planned for so long, but now he's free.
Fear not, dear friend, but he is here, for he … is me.
