black ocean
yearns for
commotion
abyss
of trouble
summons me
calls my name
echoes
dreary syllables
roll off
his
tongue
the moon howls
for me
once
drowned me
darling
I now
bathe
in the
sun

Thick forest, blankets
The open air.
Pines and maples
Smell naturally fresh.
All worries, float away.
Eyes open to a new day.

Welcome Winter—
The wind spoke,
And she didn’t know
She could, until
Gusting forth for miles
To send this message
In a softly spoken tone.
One shivers at the thought
Of her voice.

Exit sign, rainy night;
Rushed, beloved
Plight; Always
In clear sight,
Falling short,
Never missed
On a stormy night.

Reprieve hides
Beneath,
Footprints,
Face down to them.

Blurs in puddles dissipate,
To purple, bluish streaks;
Gray daze.
Headaches with
Thoughts, down the drain.
Core subsides to
Liquid
Particle bliss,
Followed by uneasiness,
In the drizzle.
Thoughts gathered during a few good rains. Currently listening to "Better Love" by Hozier.

Quiescent,
You're glaring
At, nebulous presence.
Face to face,
You want me to,
“Be your host?”

A reflection casts its gaze
Gently harrowing
Into, Soul.

Such a gracious ghost...

Submerged in the undertow, now;
Seaweed tangling around ankles deep,
To fight or give up the need to breathe?

So you sink.
So you sink.
So you sink.

Facing the mirror,
Sitting there
On a dusty, antique chair.
Disappearing each day;
Before we know it,
Time has passed away.

“They” say to “Live in the moment.”
What are we waiting for?

Maybe this,                 is it.
Like many people, I find music inspiring. Listening to "Six Feet Under" by Billie Eilish.
