Confession
iya Feb 2021
"Pray 1 Lord's Prayer, 3 Hail Mary's and 1 Glory Be." said the priest behind the confession booth in which I hesitated to proceed knowing seeing you later that day would mean sinning.

From the way you look, to the sound escaping your lips. From your laughter, to your mewls and whimpers.

I was willing to confess everyday, if it would mean sinning for you.

Brown like the tree's trunk,
like the grass' mud.

Brown like her eyes,
eyes that were filled with nothing but lies.

Just A Girl

Roses are red,
sometimes it can be white, yellow, blue and black,
depending on what you would prefer.

Roses that can sometimes hurt you with its thorns,
if not being handled properly or carefully.

Violets are not blue,
violets were never a shade of blue unless we play with the color wheel.

Violet can mean a lot of adjectives,
it can be royalty, nobility, power, and ambition.

But it also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic.

I am
just a girl finding the right path that could lead to success.

Exemption

You look at them through those eyes,
eyes that could pierce their soul and as cold as an ice.
And giving them a sly smile,
that they'd still see from a mile.
Your touch leaving trails on their skin,
a touch that can be too keen
or too soft to be gentle.

But behind this ice cold facade,
I could easily drown,
for whenever I am with you,
you put your walls down.

An exemption amongst the others.

Look up the sky, you see it's blue,
calmness and chill ran down my spine at it's hue.
The yellow sun at it's peak shining bright,
while you gave me a smile that can be a source of light.
Green with a hint of brown leaves slowly sway to the breeze of the wind,
I looked at you and as you enjoy the breeze and like a fool, you grinned.

You came into my world screaming in colors,
your cries were dashes of rainbow.
We can use our imaginations instead of spending dollars,
nothing but going along the flow.

But then your heart is just as black as your soul,
darker than the black hole.

Behind those pretty words,
are nothing but sweet
that matches a beautiful smile.

Then the eyes were dull and dead
and they scream lies.
