VAIN WORLD
Obaje Manasseh Jun 2020
Tell me not life is in haste
Life is but a bivouac of pain.
All around are men of wild banes.
Scrunching women as paltry flesh.
Can poetry quench sultry thirst?
Nothing at all is an ending quest.

Race is dark and life is earnest.
All around the world are people of conquest.
We move in doubt we move in earnest.
Hoping tomorrow will bring us solace.
While the world is made of many colors
Those in black may fair again.

Hand in hand we made war.
Now alone is the battle rule.
Who declares the end yet unknown.
Heroes will make at vantage dawn.
Except the ones that lead us on.
For life is long and time is fleeting.
Inspired by current circumstances that are troubling our world. (Pandemic, racism, ****)

Gentle soul
Obaje Manasseh Jan 2020
Gentle soul, gracious gift. Soft within you : full of words refreshingly calm, as though a synchonious cacophony when your lips flip, every whisp or decibel it sweeps is an undying melody. A taste of heaven, a complete sense concised and cute like a circled seven. Such soul is he that nurtures love from  infant.
Flourish ever and spread your branch, the world needs you.
Written for all the tender-hearted whose lips only spits words that heal.

DESTINY.
Obaje Manasseh Jun 2020
There's a detour in the Odyssey of men that  sways their voyage unavoidably , if attended with hope and faith leads them unto better soils otherwise a crashing landing.
We either make use of destiny by being hopeful of where it takes us or we perish by making  regret of it.

Burden of Lovers.
Obaje Manasseh Jun 2020
Side by side, love never goes without folly.
Love is absolute happiness without restraint, the cost of love is foolishness.
