Sacrelicious
Trapped again,
once more I've been
tucked in so tight.

I've caught myself
slowly suffocating in between
your silky ***-sheets.

Baby, just
pressure me into
putting out.
One more time.

Sing,
me another
one
of your,
lovely lullaby lies.

Put me to sleep
&
turn off my night light.
Or,
whatever, you do.

But when you're finished,
take whatever's left
of me.
And cast it
down into the darkness.

My body wants
to get back
with my soul.

there were days she talked too much,
she
looked
so
good
when
she'd
just
be quiet.

torture is peace
when your future will wait
for you to ripen from the core out.

alright, your skin hangs,
your lips lift, your eyes speak
and you stutter.
I am fallen.
I hang from an arm that learned how to reach
and I'm going to try and focus on the free fall
rather than the few seconds before I hit the ground.
you sound out feelings,
almost embarrassing to watch the pictures they create.

a light shown through in the darkness
and was burned into my memory,
useful if I wanted to see further.
blinding at first sight.

revolving!
rotating in my thoughts
if you fall over the edge, I can't catch you
but I'll let you share the ledge where I so delicately hang.
vanity calamity, sickening insanity
trying to be myself when all i see is
profanity
running out of wall space and spots
to keep my clothes
try to fold them up but my talent's not
in rows
floor's covered in dust, pencils and
carpet throws
gotta hide my stuff instead of just dispose
I'll hit the pavement before i take another step
my balance is off, body made of things from
where i slept,
tin cans and wrappers, i try to remove
my husk, but i can't in the dusk
my biggest fear is abruptly ****** to the surface
i have no purpose
i'm beginning to rust

Water, Mother
Huang He
Vibrant Yellow Beast of fine-grained loess
fierce and breaking all bounds
like a restless dragon
Dragon with fire in its belly
and that screams out of its den
Oh Life-Giver, Death-Bringer
River, Yellow River, Huang He
with animal jaws that ****, with lingering ******
and disease even after your rage -
what brought you to wildness?
such madness and ferocity - you wave away
villages, animals, women, mothers, children
and men and soldiers and trees and life;
you re-make the landscape with few brushstrokes:
black ink, swift flows, a scroll that is left sparse
Oh you who gives life at other times
with your arms of warm embrace –
Water, Mother
Huang He
Yellow of fine-grained loess -
why do you take it all away
with clawed hands of wanton, unbridled dragons?
- Poem based on painting “The Yellow River Breaches
its Course” by Ma Yuan (1160-1125)

I encounter,
innocent
wonderment
in its
thunderous loudness,

in the eyes
of a child,
standing alone,
looking at a
giant wheel turning at
mind-boggling speed.
