All of you are books,
While the reader am I
There to read your stories,
With none to read mine

She
She, an eccedentesiast, with a lie behind her smile
There lies, deep within her galaxy,
A void — a lacuna she hides.
A solivagant beauty
Roams an eldritch path,
Fighting a solo battle, hidden from sight.
Learnt some new words!

The more I focus, the further you stray,
Even for a second, I want you to stay.

To escape from reality, to break free from this cell,
In this illusion of a dream, enchanted by a spell.

Every time I close my eyes, you fill darkness with light,
But the closer I reach, the more I lose sight.

You stood at the top of the stairs, reaching out to me,
Radiating a beacon of hope, I grabbed it hard with glee.

You are now a smudged painting, a lost faded sketch,
The more I try to remember, the more you look a mess.

Hues of yellow and pink, drifted in the haze,
Splashed with joy and delight, a picturesque mosaic.

It still lingers in my heart and soul,
That picture-perfect moment of a story gone cold.
I just had to pour out my thoughts :/ ~

Words are mightier than the sword
They don't ****,
They give pain far worse than death

The sand is my canvas
The waves, the ink
The footsteps, my fading thoughts

Her touch, ever-so caressing,
like the gentle ripple of the sea by the shore
Her smile,
as warm and bright as the morning sun
Her voice,
a soothing melody like the soft cooing of birds
Yet,
as loud and mighty as a proud lioness
Her love so vast,
defies all odds and boundaries
Her eyes, so dazzling,
hide an endless galaxy within
Her breath,
like a soft and cozy  blanket on a cold day
Her heart, so pure,
radiates beams of love and light
Her,
a mother,
a place to call home.
To all the mothers out there, who make every day brighter! Happy mothers day!

Hey there! I'm a new member of this wonderful community, and I'm absolutely loving it so far! Everyone here is so supportive and helpful, and I’m truly in awe of the beautiful poems shared here. Seeing your work has inspired me to write like that too! As a beginner, though, I sometimes feel my poems are a bit too simple. I often find it hard to express ideas in a poetic way, and my writing ends up sounding more like a conversation. I also find it a little difficult to interpret some of the deeper poems shared here, and I struggle to keep up with the level of creativity and expression many of you have. I’d be really grateful if you could share any advice, tips, or tricks to help me grow as a poet. Thank you in advance!
