Remember the first good day we spent?
The sea washed out the sand at our feet,
The city lights twinkled like the stars above.
Only, these were the stars we could touch.
It was the first I'd seen of your carefree laugh;
I told myself then, I haven't seen it enough.
I still haven't had enough of it...

She said, 'The city lights are the stars,
They twinkle in the shrouded night.
I have been waiting for someone
To help me reach for the light.'

It's like I'm in a dream...
Were we together in our past lives?
I was holding this torch forever,
In the darkness, I could only burn bright,
For my neverending love, to seek the forgotten light;
To reunite, and spark into flames together,
Like the Sun, warming, *burning,
with it's light;
And I finally found you, through all those blackest nights.

He said, 'If this was meant to be,
I will die over & over again to be in different eras with you.
*To live forever despite living various lives,
To live in the end and die in the beginning!'

I wish we tie until we die.
Even after death we become ghosts and tie,
I wish even after death we tie.
Those memories together I wish they don't die,
I wish we tie until we die.
Kinshuk,Kartik,Ansh, Rajat, Abhay,Amit,Sahil,Yuvraj,
My brothers I wish we make the strongest bond.
I wish we tie until we die.
Time would pass but memories don't die,
I wish we die until we die.
Lunch during lectures, gossip while teachers teaching, punishment altogether, those morning assemblies.
I wish those memories remain after times flies.
I wish we tie until we die.

A poem for my dearest friends who made school life wonderful

Her hair used to swirl about her small frame
Like a creature with a life of its own,
A shadow that highlighted and
Underlined her every step, every gesture,
And now it's gone, and the lines of her face
Seem younger, its angles softened into curves—

Something else has grown in place
Of the tresses she used to own,
Something that makes her seem older;
A certain grace in the way she
Moves and speaks, an assured sensibility,
And sensitivity; her hands stronger,
Pulling you from crevasses of your own
Creation, just as her arms are warmer,
And give you hugs so tight that it seems like
She's trying to keep you from falling apart—

And there's the love burning through
To the surface like fire, glowing underneath
Her skin, a love that forgives and
Forgives and forgives, but never
Runs out of heat, love worth
Fighting for,
Love like
The sun
At
E v e r y
Dawn.

My dear Shruti!
Who says your eyes have dried away,
Cause only I have seen your tears hiding in the ocean of emotions,
& only I have seen them coming out as pearls,
Which later on formed themselves in a beautiful structure named poems..
Stranger was here
Started just as a hobby
Soon it became
as an addiction
to enter poet's lobby
Some wrote on love
Some on food joy
Some on weather bands
While others on fashion lands
Some on healthy habits
While other on conflicts
some on golden dreams
Many on my day to day scenes
Some on women issues
Other on insane facts
Recalling immense affection
when I look back to my acts
Some appreciated me beyond
my calibre & heights
In hindi readers

Big salute to hello poetry

into reaching century goal.

to shruti krishnan, on her twenty-first birthday

you rest easy
in hidden corners
of obscure library shelves,
your footprints
play with the dust -
disrupting and adorning,
all at once.
you rest easier
in reflections of your
many, many selves,
quiet passion, fierce silences,
bubbling pages in your diary
bursting at the seams,
half-smiled silliness,
half-charmed eyes.

you rest easy
in stony silences -
silences made of
silver filigree thoughts and
bright colourful conversations.

you rest easiest
in shared sparks of comfort -
dancing in and out of both our fingers -
pale yellow sunshine in yours,
and dark blue moonbeams in mine.
you rest easiest
in staccato laughs
and handwritten notes,
for your voice is clearest
when it becomes
the voice in my head.
Happy birthday, ******* i love u
