the sounds are blasting through your grandfather’s old radio
Of freedom peace and all the loves that’s gone stereo
The hissing static of clarity that ran through our head to the heart
The energy that tore us whole and set our dreams apart

Houston we have a problem, its eating us from the inside out
We can’t fall in love without feeling a sheer drop of doubt
What happened to the trust we held, did it slip through our hands
Am I going crazy, is this something I don’t understand

We locked ourselves in prisons so we can’t get hurt
We hid our hearts far beneath the core of the earth
When did this world start to panic and go into doubt?
Are we to blame for who we are…

Try to remember who we were
Mostly importantly Who you are
Don’t doubt or close your heart and take a chance
For an old school risk at a shot in the dark romance

There’s nothing more unholy than a love that you can’t feel
Take a look and figure out which one from them all is real
Tear away your heart and place the bet on her
Winner takes all…all it takes is a winner

The rose that was given out has been dusted away
But the passion of holding her hand is eating you to this day
All you need is a reason to see her, to hear her
And everything will be clearer, love will be together
Lyrics I wrote about this guy who's grandfather just died, and the guy is fighting with his girlfriend at his grandfathers funeral. After the fight he's in his grandfathers room listening to his radio about songs of old time romances...

I am a figment of your imagination.
The ghost in your dreams.
The silence leads me to a depression
You’re leaving and ripping out the seams

You’re so lost it’s so unpredictable
I bet you didn’t know God made you into an everlasting miracle
Depression gets so hard it’s so unbearable
Doesn’t mean that life is so terrible

Say it sadly, and say it right
Are you having trouble sleeping at night?
Is your heart getting lonely on cloud nine?
Do you feel like you’re running out of time

Do people know what you mean?
When you tell them about your dream
Do they look at you with a forceful silence?
Stand alone in time watching the world with no offense

Say it sadly and say it right
Are you having trouble sleeping at night
The lights go out and darkness is around
Dream a dream that doesn’t make a sound
Say it sadly.

Enemies are enclosing you and you’re broken down
Does fear even exist, does it make a sound
Hold on it’s a wild ride
Through the dreams that never died

The moon looks down, it shines on love
It shines through your window, isn’t that enough?
Life is glass because it falls apart
Are you putting together the pieces of your broken heart

You’re so lost it’s so unpredictable
I bet you didn’t know God made you into a miracle
Depression gets so hard it’s so unbearable
Doesn’t mean that life is so terrible

Say it sadly and say it right
Does it feel so better when I’m there by your side?
The noise falls out and I’m still there.
Does the moon shine brighter when you’re alright
So say it sadly and say it right

You see her as she walks right by you
she notices you but you have no clue
feelings start stirring and you lose control
sick to the heart when you see her soul
she sits next to you on the bench and wonders off
you sit and wonder if you should confess your love
her fragrance a lours so much power you cant handle
you feel her warm smile light up like a candle
you try not to stare but you just cant help it
you keep an image to last so you wont forget
she stands right up and she walks away
your chance is gone just like yesterday
you sit and look at your feet and wonder what if
your chance is dead its gone off the cliff
oh well.

I walk through this journey called life
Filled with its ups and down, laughs and cries
Leading me to happiness that lies in the end
Remembering those whom I love and offend

Throughout my life I’ve seen those who run and fall
They all have a special place in my heart and wall
There’s always been that one girl who got my attention
I lost control and took the wrong way in my heart of desperation

The fork in the road that could have leaded me to you
But I took the wrong turn and it leads me to something new
The fork in the road that has changed my life forever
The slightest choice in life can keep us away from each other

The road I’ve been on never seems to take me home
Catching fireflies in the night and tossing rocks and stones
The dark makes it so **** hard to see
But I know at the end of the line I’ll be free

The moon never shines as it did when I was with you
A change in the world that has started over new
But so far wrong turns have lead me to worse
The crows that screech have laid a curse

The fork in the road that could have leaded me to you
But I took the wrong turn and it leads me to something new
The fork in the road that has changed my life forever
The slightest choice in life can keep us away from each other

I trusted my gut to find the right path in the road
But the love I had is gone it’s taken its final toll
The rain from heaven has blurred my vision that leads me to you
Its seems now that my heart and soul doesn’t have the slightest clue

The fork in the road that could have lead me to you
But I took the wrong turn and it lead me to something new
The fork in the road that has changed my life forever
The slightest choice in life can keep us away from each other

I woke up and looked back at my life
When I went from being dead to alive
A guitar geek on the brink of losing all hope
Nowhere to go, he’s at the end of his rope

Born and raised in a town he called his home
He grew up with the feeling of being on his own
With no direction or hint on where he should go
He left his home to pursue another one that wasn't so slow

He found himself in a rotting city that’s burning down
With the winos and potheads that were never found
The red lights that flash at the A.M hour
With Christ’s last hope hanging by the tower

He met this friend who taught him to laugh, at everything that went wrong
He gathered pieces of his life and put them all into this song
She showed him the light and everything it had to offer
Everything in his life enlightened, its going for the better
Even though she helped him out, no words can express
What it means to be complete mess

He never use to smile until he met this girl
A loud happy go lucky girl who always smiled to the world
Her smile caught on to him and now he’s crazier than her
He’s proud to be an idiot and cheer up others
She brought out something he never had and made it grow
And that’s the story of how Retid became to be known

I take a look back at my life and realize it all went well
I wouldn't change a thing at all
I found a piece of heaven in this so called hell
And now they’re hanging memories on my wall
I wake up and thank God for this life
I wouldn't want it any other way
I went through hell to get to paradise
I found peace at mind and now I've got nothing else to say

He skated the streets and he practiced the guitar
He would sit in his room, hoping his talents get him far
The words would leak from his heart into a blank sheet
Soon the words would be the people that he would meet

Bored at school, 3rd period was the worse
But then he saw a loud girl who loved to curse
She made him laugh, she was an inspiration
She made his head work in different complications
She got his attention and made him never give in
It’s hard to believe cause of her I let my revolution begin

3 years have passed and a lot has happened
He fell in love and got lost in distraction
His friends are the lyrics to the songs
Without them who knows where he could have gone

17 years old his life turned around and he started a band
Some friends came and some of them has faded away
Those friends who stayed seem to give him a hand
That lucky ******* is singing this song today

you're nothing but a wish on a shooting star
it seems like you're near but so **** far
memories turned into movies playing in my head
wondering about the things we did and said

all the memories makes me want to abandon and run
i couldn't stand to watch you fall in love with someone
it seems i couldn't do anything to make you stay
so its better this way to let you go your way

it make me sick to think i wasn't the one for you
i was there for you when you were happy and blue
now those memories haunt me and i'm going insane
i had to let you go cause i was sickened with pain

things would have been different if you were with me
i know your every fear, i know what can make you happy
but yet you go for random guys who don't know you well
who break you heart into two while relationships horribly fail

Homemade movies of a childhood that never lasted
Seem to past by us when we weren't even aware of the time
We grew up and grew apart from each other’s company
The smiles we shined at one point have dimmed out. We ran out of time

Why did we have to grow up, to change for the worse
Time did us wrong and it feels like a never ending curse
All we can do is try to remember who we were before
Capture the memories that still roam around the living room floor

Scattered memories that cling on by the scrapbooks we created
Slowly turns into dust and with every day that passes it slowly fades
Pictures of us we hardly can remember become unknown
The warm friendship we use to have turned hard as stone

I close my eyes and it seems everything we had has washed away
I hold my breath to wish it back but we can’t bring back the good old days
We live in a world where time passes by and we don’t even see it go by
It goes on and on until the day we lose our memory and gently die
