the sounds are blasting through your grandfather’s old radio
Of freedom peace and all the loves that’s gone stereo
The hissing static of clarity that ran through our head to the heart
The energy that tore us whole and set our dreams apart

Houston we have a problem, its eating us from the inside out
We can’t fall in love without feeling a sheer drop of doubt
What happened to the trust we held, did it slip through our hands
Am I going crazy, is this something I don’t understand

We locked ourselves in prisons so we can’t get hurt
We hid our hearts far beneath the core of the earth
When did this world start to panic and go into doubt?
Are we to blame for who we are…

Try to remember who we were
Mostly importantly Who you are
Don’t doubt or close your heart and take a chance
For an old school risk at a shot in the dark romance

There’s nothing more unholy than a love that you can’t feel
Take a look and figure out which one from them all is real
Tear away your heart and place the bet on her
Winner takes all…all it takes is a winner

The rose that was given out has been dusted away
But the passion of holding her hand is eating you to this day
All you need is a reason to see her, to hear her
And everything will be clearer, love will be together
Lyrics I wrote about this guy who's grandfather just died, and the guy is fighting with his girlfriend at his grandfathers funeral. After the fight he's in his grandfathers room listening to his radio about songs of old time romances...
