The day is approaching when he arose from the dead
And walked the earth as the bible said.
Every year we celebrate this day – when the Christians kneel to pray.
For children its Easter bunnies and Easter eggs and dressing up for mass
But as parents we must remind them of the past
Of how this day came to be – when CHRIST died for you and me.
He was not laid in an earthly grave, but into a mountainous cave
And a concrete wheel put at the entrance way, and guards
To protect it so it would stay.
On the morning of the third day the guards had found that
Not a sound had been made –as the wheel was moved from his grave.
When the followers went inside and searched “to their surprise “
He was nowhere to be found and his burial cloth lay on the ground.
They say that some had seen him walking on the mountain top
Turned around and looked down to where he had laid
Smiled and walked away.

Cliffy (Read the new poets)

someday I shall board a bus in
North London,
should my dimmed eyes not find him,
shall board another and another
till at last allayed and allied,
my pink newspaper wrapped,
slim volume of gifted boldness,
thirty-one antique poems shall I hand this
odd bespectacled man, their father,
their author

to name him new is confusing
for his originalities, new here,
sourced from over twenty years of past recent,
most writ before the current horde of
genghis khan occupying invaders
were body birthed
and long
before
they birthed themselves
their first
écriture

an acquired taste,
he acquired my taste one night,
when despair mastered my outer view,
words were ashen under the sun,
nothing new and I forsook my mother tongue

this odd owlish glassed creature,
will not charm you or delight you

he will originate you
say there is another way,
so old fashioned that it is
cutting edge
and not cutting oneself

do you ask these questions?

Whose resurection is this
                                anyway ?
Has anyone seen the messiah today ?
There is never a messiah around when
You need one ?
Perhaps I shouldn't speak of th?ese things
Lightly

But what can be done ?
Have you ever smoked a ******
In a temple ?
Do you know what these kinda words
Resemble ?
Did you ever think life is just incidental ?
I can picture druids hovering above sacred corpses
Laughing at their impunity,
And tripping on their vulnerability
It's not a long way between Jesus and sin.

Y'know
Y'know
Having *** whilst wearing a strait-jacket
Is better than having no *** at all
I always echo the optimist's call
But I'm tied to a spastic cross
Where I present my loss.

All theses thoughts came to me
Much later in history.

But now I must board another bus
In North London,
to find a true original
and perhaps find a sterling pound
of my own

reposting is nice but inherently cheap because it is made so easy, it clogs the inbox repeatedly with the popular ones...Poetess Ingrid you are next...

Question mark inbetween the letters of the sixth word at the end of the first verse, instead of it being at the end of the sentence.

money makes me ugly,
as soon as I catch extra
you can see me at the smoke shop,
blowing it by buyin' packs of cigarettes
smoking two a pop,
drinking heinous amounts,
getting dangerous when I go out,
reckless intentions demolish
my apprehension for self harm,
not razors but walls,
not looking for a savior or even
interacting with all a y'all,
just sitting in the shower using
too much water while I finish off a bottle,
full throttle toward self destruction,
trying to not function,
I don't even want the promise
of resurection, distant on purpose,
so I'll close this with an apology
to everybody and me,
I'm sorry
I'm sorry

DYING CITY
Katrina Aug 2019
I live in a dying city.
With more for sale signs than inhabitants.
When walking through the streets i see no activity, no joy and no people.
This city has no malls, no gas stations, no schools.
When passing by the old buildings who used to house laughter and learning i only see the unmowed lawns and crumbeling structure. Yesterday i heard an ambulance.
Now there is one less inhabitant and one more for sale sign.
This city is dying, if we leave, it will be gone forever, if we stay it will die with us.
Im not sure the title, city, fits anymore.
I live in a place with small rows of houses and more for sale signs that inhabitants.
I live in a place where laughter is no more and where failure is written on the street names, i live in a place that is dying with no hope for resurection.
And no, it is not our fault, it is not your fault, we can not blame anyone for the deception our city has caused.
We live here, we stay here, and we will fight for our right to call this place a city for as long as there are inhabitants.
Untill all there is, is for sale signs, we will be living in this dying city.

hey hey hey

Lonely babe

Undernesth the stars

Colors flying in the night

Naked images unfurl

Your soul so free and wild

out of breath,
to pass every test
A beacon of light
stand firm through the fight

shouts to proclaim
not having her in my arms is driving me insane;
shades of grey, black & blue
what more are we to do

shallow peak the sneak wink
sing the resurection hymn,
love is for certain stand past the curtain
blood out on the patio

which way do we go ?
See Mary weeping beside the tomb
the voice goes past the years in tender gears
so often with fashion means;

honor, blessing & praise
Death is dead Christ has won
love in a one way street
Another wind in the storm

Cursed the very day you been born
not since th likes of Lena Horne
burning rubble cancel the double
oh that rugid cross my salvation;

A love that will not let me go
the soft sandal feet
a frig although sunken deep
love in thought as well as deed

The sun takes charge fullest crown
below the brazen hero smile
