I fished one day
Not expecting I would be prey
The boat suddenly shook
I knew I was on the hook

The line had been cast
Going nowhere fast
Slowly tugged on the reel
Pulled in I could feel

That days catch
I could not match
Even if it was moon light
I couldn't stay in the night

It didn't take a femme fatale
Just a woman and a tail
A pure beautiful mermaid
