You've made bad mistakes
So have I
The only ones that matter
Are the ones that kept me from you
I'm not feeling like a bad person
It's only a lost feeling
How can it be so clear
And be so far instead of near
Maybe I wasn't ready for you
You were rising like hot summer air
And I was falling through every bump
The turbulence was not what I asked for
That's how we fly our planes
Gliding, thrusting into the air
And you were all I wanted there
I must have passed you on the way to nowhere
