Mar 2017
the strain is hard to to believe
never mind that it is me
I think Im being pulled apart
I thought my heart was my home
but really it is all alone
mourning in a shell of servitude
born into a custody battle
over who being human belongs to
I own blackness by birth
but they still think whiteness
has created its meaning
the worth
of origins
reclaiming ownership
