she melts,
as the rain falls.
she weeps,
as her family, her mother
show no kindness.
no love.
slowly killing her.
she is dying.
she diminishes
as she tries to hide it.
tries to keep the rain hidden.
keep the smile alive.
not her own smile,
but the smile forced upon her.
her soul, her life
slowly drifts away.
her family-
no mercy
no compassion.
she needs not sympathy
but empathy…
yet she is left to fade away alone.
