Looking at your beautiful smile,
Whilst watching you walk down the aisle,
Very soon you will be my wife,
Knowing I’ll love you all my life,
Hoping the feeling will always last,
And I’ll forever be in your heart,
Life is full of nasty surprises,
But together we can reap the prizes,
Together forever, always in love,
I know we can stand the rough.

Do you remember the day they were born?
Why did it take ever so long?
The new born baby emerges crying,
You gaze lovingly at the little thing,
Up all night, asleep all day,
The baby’s dad at work away,
They start their first day at school,
Infant and parents having a ball,
Senior school is the next big step,
Their first day will they ever forget,
Going out all through the night,
Coming home after a fight,
Next thing you know they’re down the aisle,
Giving you a beautiful smile,
Now your baby is all grown up,
Now you know that you’re all cut up.

Speed enthralls us all sometimes,
Enjoying the risk whilst we risk our lives,
Faster and faster down the road we go,
Not worrying about getting home,
On our bikes, in our cars,
Pressing the accelerator so we can go fast,
Not wondering about using the brake,
Who cares about the risk we take,
It happens to us once in our lives,
Speed enthralls us all sometimes.
