I try to push you away
But you keep telling me
"That's not happening today"

I'm hoping you'll keep your distance
But all you say is
"There isn't any chance"

I try to hide my feelings, but we both know, I can not. You tell me it's okay
Since I've already fought a lot
This poem is dedicated to my friends that helped me through a lot :)

We are what we eat
Can I eat someone disciplined
And abandon myself
To shed my self hatred
And become someone new
Anna B Feb 2020
You have to keep your emotions to yourself
Since you can't just put them on a bookshelf
Don't let people know you're vulnerable
Otherwise you'll just end up miserable
And once when you're finally strong,
All I'm going to say is I knew it all along
Anna B Feb 2020
They think I'm strong
Well guess what? I'm not
They still don't know I've been
Struggling a lot
I've been hurt so many times
It is a miracle I'm still alive
It's okay I'll be just fine
That is until someone crosses the line

The blade on my skin
Slides like butter on bread
What can I say? It helps releive stress
Been telling that lie to myself
For way too long, but that's what happens
When someone's not quite strong
This is one of my first poems and I was scared to share it with anyone until now
